Leah POV

"I still don't think you should be going" my dad says as he watches me do my hair

"Dad it's just dinner" I say rolling my eyes "I haven't seen Cody for so long it'll be good to catch up"

"I know that, I just think there are other things you should be doing" he says "like talking things out with Damian, he deserves a chance to explain what you saw"

"I know what I saw and he pretty much confirmed it" I sigh

"You know what you think you saw" he says "you could be wrong and he could be lashing out becuase he's hurt"

"Fine, look I will talk to him tomorrow ok" I say "but not tonight, tonight I'm busy"

"I just don't want you to miss out on the chance to be happy" he says standing up and walking over to me "love is never easy but it is worth fighting for" he says kissing my temple before heading towards the door "have fun tonight and think about what I said"

He was right, love is worth fighting for but there has to be something to fight for and right now I'm not sure I see anything. I guess talking couldn't hurt, we can lay everything out the table and see where that leaves us.

Grabbing my bag I open the door of my room to find Damian stood there his hand raised like he was about to knock. He looks at me, lowers his hand and shifts awkwardly.

"Hi, I was um, I was hoping maybe we could talk" he says "I'd like the chance to apologise and explain if you'll let me"

"I would but I'm just on my way out" I say "but we can talk tomorrow"

"Oh right, you have a date" he says looking at his feet "well I hope you have a nice evening and I'll see you tomorrow" he says taking a few steps back before walking away

"D?" I call out and he turns to look at me "just so you know, it's not a date" I say and a relieved smile crosses his face "I'll see you tomorrow"

He nods and I watch him walk down the corridor before heading to the lobby to meet Cody. For some reason I have this uneasy feeling like I should have stayed with D and cancelled on Cody and I just can't shake it.

Later that night

Damian POV

I had been sat in the hotel bar nursing a glass of tequila for god knows how long but I hadn't taken a sip. A part of me had hoped that I would see Leah come back and that maybe I could convince her to talk tonight instead but it's looking like she is having a late one.

I slide the glass away from myself and stand up from the stool I've  been sitting on. I start to head to the elevator to go back to my room when my phone vibrates in my pocket.
When I see Mark's name on my screen I'm confused I have no idea why he would be calling me.

"Hi Mark, how are you?" I ask answering the call

"Not good I wanted to let you know about Leah didn't want you hearing it from anywhere else?" He says

"What about her?" I ask "you know we are over right?"

"Yes I know that but I also know still care" he says "listen, she was on her way back to the hotel with Cody and they got in an accident, he's fine but she's.....she's not good"

"What do you mean not good?" I ask panic filling me "where is she?"

"Local hospital, she's not awake yet" he says

"I'm on my way" I say ending the call and rushing out to my car. I throw my phone onto the passenger seat and start the engine.

Flooring it I tear out of the car park and in the direction of the hospital, I'm almost there when I hit a red light, I wait impatiently for it to change and then put my foot down.

As I pull away from the traffic lights I hear a screech, a crunch and my car get pushed sideways. I barely register what's happened before everything goes black.

Leah POV

When we arrive back at the hotel we walk through the door and I'm almost bowled over by Matt as he rushes towards the door.

"Woah Matty where's the fire?" I ask gripping his shoulders

"Damian, he got in an accident, I'm down as his emergency contact" he says breathlessly "I'm on my way to the hospital"

"He.....what" I say feeling my heart sink and my stomach drop "I'm coming with you"

"I don't know what state he's in just that he's not awake" he says "maybe you should wait till I find out more" he says

"No, I'm coming no arguments" I say "I have to see him, I need to see him, I'm sorry Cody but I have to go to him"

"It's fine, go be with him" he says hugging me "keep me updated and I'll let you dad know where you've gone"

"Thanks" I say "come on Matt let's go, we don't have time to waste"
