EARLIER THAT DAY.

   Joseph spared his watch a glance, tapping his shoes and nodding his head to the tune of the song playing on the car radio.

It was 11:30.

Looking out the car window, eyes searching for any traces.

Where was she? He kept asking himself.

She was thirty minutes late.

His eyes went to the figure that neared his car and breathing out a sigh of relief, Miracle.

"So sorry I'm late"

She quickly apologized and immediately got into the car, her eyes avoiding him.

He slightly chuckled, she looked cute when shy.

She was wearing a pink sweetheart gown with nude makeup on.
She looked extremely beautiful.

"Sure, where do you suggest we go?"

He asked, starting the ignition switch, and getting ready to leave the parking lot.

"Mall Shop, I love that place"
She replied, a dreamy look on her face.
Not hesitating to show the map to Joseph.

He mentally facepalmed himself to stop looking her way and focus on the road.

"Is this a date?"
She asked.

He passed her a killer smile, sure that she was blushing.

"Call it whatever you want"

She nodded, muting her phone when notifications would not stop coming.

"Tell me more about yourself. All I know is that you're my Secretary"
He asked, honking at the car ahead.

Sparing a glance at her, she was looking out the car window, a smile broadening her face.

"Uhmm… not much, I do a little modeling"

"Wow"

That was all he could say, they continued to talk till they got to the Mall Shop.

30 MINUTES LATER.

(After the encounter)

The four had headed to the cinema section, conversing with themselves like old friends, the awkward air was gone thanks to Miracle and there were smiles on their faces as they neared the area.

There was a short line of customers waiting to pay, to watch the movie.

"Let's go and get popcorn before it's our turn"
Miracle suggested, dragging Natalie with her.

Joseph and Rachel were together, they moved with the line, occasionally glancing at each other.

"Hi"
She started, passing him a smile.

Joseph felt his heart skip a beat, he had missed that smile, and she looked much happier with her engagement ring.

"Hi, it's been long, 10 years…. Right?"
She nodded at his question, knowing there was a lot to say between them.

"You look more handsome than before"
She blurted out, facepalming herself for letting it out, what was she thinking!?

"Thanks"
He passed her a smile, a little surprised by her compliment.

Finally, it was their turn, Natalie and Miracle were not back but they had to go in.

After paying, they were given a flyer and searched for the next movie.

"Front seat or back seat?"
Joseph asked her, she pointed her finger towards the front and walked to it.

The two friends faced the big screen, the film was beginning to start.

From time to time, they gave each other stares.

"That guy is such an idiot"
Rachel whispered, pointing to the male character with a frown plastered on her face.

Joseph slightly chuckled, agreeing with her.

"Don't blame him, people do idiotic things for love"

She smiled at his comment, he was always the romantic one, and Luke was learning from him.

"So, how is business"
She asked, attempting to start up a conversation.

His eyes left the screen, going to her face.

"Fine, thanks to hard work"

The movie was long forgotten, the two friends focused on talking and eating popcorn.

Rachel felt someone pat her, looking, it was Natalie and Miracle.

The two instantly frowned at the popcorn Rachel was eating.

"How did you guys get popcorn?"

They asked, comfortably taking a seat, the cinema was now getting filled up with people.

"They were selling"

Rachel replied, eyes focusing on the screen, sad that Natalie and Miracle interrupted her conversation with Joseph.
