Following their return to Hogwarts everything had been quiet. It had been a peaceful few weeks. Hermione and Y/N were excused from classes as Albus had agreed to (with the exception of Ghoul Studies) and they had spent all day everyday in the library studying. Their three friends would join them after class, working on assignments and revision as exams got closer. Y/N and Harry started to grow closer, their friendship being slowly repaired much to Hermione's joy. They spent every night in the Room of Requirement

It all changed the night of the 26th of April.
Y/N woke suddenly gasping about 2am. He was in tremendous pain and felt pulled out of the room and to the corridor. He shot up out of bed and pulled pants on, waking up Hermione in the process.

"Stay there baby, something's wrong!"Y/N exclaimed as he rushed out to the hall to see Ruby, leaning against the wall and covered in blood, her breathing was shallow.

"Ruby? RUBY!!!" Y/N yelled as he crouched down to her. He lifted her face in tears and she smiled a bloody smile and held a piece of paper which Y/N grabbed and pocketed.

"Found you... Knight... plot" she whispered weakly.

Y/N sent a Patroni ball quickly to Albus, summoning him immediately as Hermione stood in the room's doorway, covering her mouth as she sobbed.

"Protect them... I love..."

Ruby's body went limp as Y/N screamed in pain and held her tight, tears streaming down his cheeks. Albus appeared in a dressing gown as another ball of energy appeared in front of Y/N- Ellen's voice screaming out:

"Roadhouse... attack... quick!"

"Albus take care of them!" Y/N ordered as he apparated leaving his crying girlfriend and shocked Headmaster in his wake.

Y/N apparated to a scene of chaos. He was topless and shoeless, wearing only the pants he first put on upon waking. There were bodies on the floor, spells being cast, half the bar was on fire.

Y/N unsheathed his wands and instantly went to war, cutting down knights left and right.

"Y/N?" He heard Ellen yell from cover behind the bar.

"Stay down!" Y/N yelled as he impaled a Knight with his blade- he threw a fireball at another incinerating him on the spot before narrowly avoiding a killing curse.

Labefactum

Y/N unleashed the bludgeoning curse on the Knight, his agonised screams filling the air as he was bashed to death slowly by unseen blunt objects.

Blind fury was pushing Y/N on, his rage outweighing his intellect as a barrage of knights entered the Roadhouse only to be despatched.

Killing curses, fireballs, Lightning strikes- Y/N then fired off Protego Diabolica at the entrance.

"DOBBY!"

The elf appeared as several knights entered only to be obliterated in agonised screams.

"Get them to HQ. Take one of the unconscious knights. I'll be there soon!"

With a small pop the women cowering behind the bar were gone, as was a body Ellen wouldn't leave and an unconscious Knight.
Y/N incinerated the remaining knights, unconscious or dead, and released the Diabolica.

"Come on!" He sneered at the doorway.

The fighting raged for another hour. The knights were decimated. Some were cut to ribbons, others incinerated or electrocuted. Some were fortunate enough to have Defodio cast at them- pieces of the skull or chest exploding off- at least it was a quick death.

The structure got more damaged the longer the battle rage, Y/N apparating after a Bombarda Maxima brought the building down around him.

The five females sat in the medical ward, as they had been for an hour. They had been told this belonged to the Lord of the people there- they hadn't recognised anyone they had met so far except Jackson Selwyn, the Azkaban escapee. That was until Benny rushed into the wing. He and Ellen embraced in tears at the sight of their friend's corpse. They sat around Ash's body in tears.

He had been killed by a killing curse when the attack first happened. Ellen had sent a patroni to Y/N as they hid behind the bar- firing off curses and spells in an attempt to keep the Knights back- just her, her daughter, Jodie and her three muggle daughters.

They had been celebrating Annie graduating from high school and at 2am we're about to call it a night when all hell broke lose.

Suddenly they were aware of Y/N apparating to the centre of the room- Chiara, the sweet nurse who had looked after them, rushing to him panicked.

He was covered in ash and blood and sweat. He had cuts on him but the blood wasn't all his. He had a look of rage on his face that terrified the muggle girls and even Jo.

"Is he alive still?" Y/N asked Ellen, ignoring Chiara's fussing.

She pointed to a bed where the Knight was strapped unconscious. Y/N walked up to him and unbound him before slapping him hard across the face.

Two crunches and screams later he was fully conscious and defenceless with broken arms as Y/N dragged him up, screaming, by his hair.

"Ellen we're about to find out what happened. I suggest the girls stay here. This won't be pretty. Jackson wake the Bearers and get them to the training hall. I want them all to see their Lord's wrath!"

"Yes my Lord!" Jackson bowed walking out the room with Benny.

"Chiara can you please remain here with the muggle girls? You're too sweet to see what I'm about to do to this filth. I'm sorry Ellen the roadhouse is destroyed!"

Y/N walked forward dragging the Knight by his hair, he screamed in agony but could do little else. They arrived at the duelling hall and Y/N threw him to the floor.

"Why was the Roadhouse attacked?"

"Fuck you!" The Knight tried to laugh before a barrage of fists pummelled into his face.

"Try again!"

"You think I'm scared..." the Knight dumbly argued before looking in shock as the Phoenix Bearers piled into the hall.

"This is my army maggot. The one not even Lilith knows about. You won't live to tell her. How much you suffer before the end, well that's up to you!"

He was punched again before whimpering

"I can't!"

"Have it your way. Crucio!"

Ten minutes. Ten minutes was all it took. Y/N stopped momentarily and the Knight cried and whimpered.

"No more please. I beg you no more!"

"Start talking. Why did you attack the Roadhouse?"

"Trying to find Ruby"

"For this?"

Y/N pulled the bloody note Ruby had given him from his pocket.

"Yes. Lilith is scared of you. Wanted to target your loved ones. Draw you out to the open to attack you!"

Y/N looked at the list of names and his heart stopped.

"All muggles, mudbloods and Blood traitors!"

Y/N exploded in rage.

"Is this all of them? IS THIS ALL OF THEM?"

CRUCIO!!!

He relented after 30 seconds and the man cried.

"Yes. That's all! That's all!"

"Jackson!" Y/N called to his captain who instantly stepped forward to him.

"These eight people. I want multiple sets of eyes on them at all times. 24 hours a day! All teams are to take snitches and I want to be notified immediately if any hostiles approach. Is that understood? Bearers?"

Y/N handed the list to Jackson who bowed.

"What... what about me?" The Knight whimpered.

"You maggot? My Dementor will give you the kiss. Then my Lethifold will devour your corpse!" Y/N spat walking up and gripping the man's hair.

"Phoenix Bearers. We have our mission. We have our Sacred Eight! I want four teams of four to each cluster of targets ten minutes ago. Move!" Jackson bellowed as the Phoenix Bearers ran into gear.

"Ellen, Jo, Jodie- Benny will explain all of this. I'll be back. I'm sorry- Ruby is gone. I'll return with her body for burial!"

As the three women were approached by the vampire Y/N opened a portal, threw the Knight through it and apparated.

Y/N appeared in the dark hominid exhibit, illuminated only by moonlight.

"Grimm. Sheets!" He called out.

The Knight screamed in terror as a Dementor and a Lethifold appeared into view. The Prophesied bastard wasn't lying.

"Midnight snack for you both. Grimm give this worm the kiss. Sheets feast on his bones when Grimm is done! You deserve to suffer for longer maggot!"

Y/N threw him to the floor and apparated as the man screamed.

He had to warn her. Assure her she would be safe but warn her all the same...
