Chapter 40-Old Friends:

(A/N)~ Hello all! Welcome to the last update of For You!!😭😭 I'm so sorry it has to end-- it's been fun! Anyways, please enjoy these last 3 chapters, and, ofc, I added two extra ones as a goodbye-- including smut, just to one-up myself from last time. ❤️❤️

Also, I totally hate to kill the goodbye mood, but I have a question-- I've gotten so many comments on my ErenxReaders about an Adrien..? or something idk how to spell it-- I hate to sound like an old fart but who is that?? Regardless, thank you so much for commenting, and if someone could explain, that would be great. Thank you!

I love you all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Muah~

Eren pulled into the parking lot of the large, crowded restaurant, opening the car door for me and immediately slipping his arm around my waist, gluing me to his side.

It had been a month since he had confessed his feelings to me, and we had been together ever since. The school year was coming to a close and, while I was devastated, Eren promised he'd visit me often. I pushed the thoughts of the future aside as Eren led me into the restaurant, guiding me towards a table in the back.

Mikasa and Armin were already seated.

"(Y/N)," Mikasa smiled, waving politely as I sat across from her. "How are you? It's been awhile."

It certainly had been. The last, (and only), time I had seen Mikasa was when Eren was hospitalized after his suicide attempt.

"I'm good, thanks. What about you?"

"Can we skip the formalities, please?" Eren butted in. "I'm hungry."

I rolled my eyes, "It was your idea to meet up in the first place."

"Yeah, and what about it?" Eren's green eyes darted in Armin's direction. "What are you ordering?"

"I haven't decided... a salad, maybe?" Armin answered unsurely.

"That sounds horrendous," Eren commented back.

"Hello, Armin— by the way," I interrupted, leaning over to introduce myself. "It's nice to finally meet you."

"The pleasure is mine, (Y/N). Eren's told me so much about you—"

"Guys— what did I just say?" Eren protested.

"You're in a good mood tonight," Armin observed sarcastically.

Eren sighed, running his fingers through his dark hair, "Sorry, I just have a lot of school work to catch up on before the semester ends. I'm stressed."

I wrapped my hand around Eren's fingers beneath the table and squeezed them reassuringly.

"You'll be fine," I consoled. "Anyway, let's order now so Eren will stop complaining, and then we can catch up."

Eventually, the waiter came by with our food and Eren gave us permission to speak. I was very curious about what Mikasa and Armin had been up to. The both of them were attending Sina college; a very prestigious school for the best of the best. Obviously, when I met Mikasa, we never had the chance to talk about how she got into the school and what exactly she had been doing there. And, like I had said, I'd never met Armin before.

"So," I started, spinning my spaghetti around my fork, "What are you two doing for school right now?"

"Currently, I'm running D1 cross-country. And I'm doing STEM, I guess," Mikasa answered unenthusiastically, chewing on her steak.

"Do you like it?"

"I'm good at it."

"Is that how you got into Sina?"

"I ran track in high school because Eren did. And Eren did it because Jean did. Sina college scouted a few of our meets and offered me a part-time scholarship if I ran for them. I wasn't going to do it, but Eren was the one who pushed me to go. As far as the STEM goes... I took the class because it was a requirement, and I ended up being good at it."

"Along with every other high school class," Eren added, rolling his eyes.

"Sure. So, they gave me some money for my grades, too." Mikasa shrugged. "I don't know. It's fun, I guess."

"Maybe you should try doing something you actually like, Mikasa," I suggested lightly. "College is a great time to try things out, after all."

"We'll see," she replied flatly. I decided not to push it.

"What about you, Armin?" I questioned, eyeing the blond-haired boy, who was chomping on his salad politely.

"Well, I'm double-majoring in Public Relations & Organizational Communications, and Biochemistry & Biophysics... and double-minoring in Marine Biology and Computer Science & Programming."

Jesus fucking Christ. How many 'ands' were in that sentence? It sounds like he's doing a thousand things at once! Not to mention I have no idea how those classes relate to each other... What kind of job was he aiming to get?

"Wow," I paused, trying to soak everything in. "That's... a lot. What kind of job are you planning on getting?"

Armin smiled, crossing his arms. "Don't know! Just trying to keep my options open, I guess."

Yeah, your options will be open, indeed.

I was too scared to even ask how he got admitted. I imagined that it was probably from outstanding grades in AP classes, and perhaps he had taken extra college courses during high school. Just thinking about the workload made my head hurt.

The night continued on, the four of us all sharing our school experiences as we recounted the last year. Eren was right: Mikasa and Armin had done some pretty amazing things. I understood why he had felt the way that he did. Even I was growing a bit jealous hearing them talk. The worst part was: they weren't even bragging. If anything, they were being too modest! But, I didn't care. Armin and Mikasa both had great lives, but I was grateful for what I had been given. I had gotten everything that I'd wanted.

Eventually, it was time to say goodbye, and Eren escorted me back to his car. I had been keeping my eye on him all night, wondering if Mikasa and Armin's stories about their success in school had been having an affect on him. Per usual, though, he was practically impossible to read.

I slid into the passenger seat, as Eren held the door open for me. His green eyes locked with mine and he leaned in to plant a quick kiss on my cheekbone before closing the door behind me.

When Eren sat down and turned on the ignition, I immediately noticed him relax. He loosened his tie and his shoulders dropped. Although Eren never admitted it, social interactions tended to stress him out a little bit.

He peeked over at me as he backed out of the parking lot.

"It's a long drive home," he commented idly.

"I know."

"Maybe you should take off that dress and entertain me for awhile," Eren raised his eyebrows.

"Don't be crude," I replied, shifting my gaze out the window to hide my flustered expression. Despite being with Eren for a month now, and undressing in front of him for much longer than that, he still always managed to make me nervous.

"Alright... we can save it for when we get home. It'll be sweeter that way." Eren took one hand off the steering wheel and slid it over my thigh. The cool, steel ring on his finger pressed into my skin, sending a shiver up my spine.

"Can I at least keep my hand here?" he asked, squeezing my leg and massaging little circles on it absentmindedly.

"I'll allow it," I answered.

"What about a kiss?"

"You're driving."

"We're on the freeway; it's a straight line," he argued. "Just one kiss."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes, but leaned over to kiss him anyway. Eren smirked victoriously, then pressed his lips into mine, trying to savor the moment. I pulled away quickly, forcing him to pay attention to the road. He frowned, but pried his eyes away from me and back onto the freeway.

"You're such a tease," he complained.

"If anyone's a tease, it's you," I countered.

"That's not true," Eren replied, licking his lower lip. "Give me one example."

"What about last night? Hm?" I leaned toward him in my seat accusingly, "How long did you make me wait before you decided to..." I trailed off.

"To what?"

"To... you know."

"To fuck you?"

"Yes," I mumbled embarrassedly.

"Ha! It's been months, and you're still too scared to say it. That really turns me on," he bit his lip jokingly.

"Shut up, you horny slut," I bullied.
