My Rose of Tralee (Simon Durney)

My Rose of Tralee

She smells of rainbows, the moon and stardust all rolled into one, sweet and bursting with passion

We mould perfectly together like two reunited pieces of a jigsaw, she belongs in my arms

I brush the strands of long brown hair from her beautiful face

Her mesmeric grey eyes melt me every time. Her lips, full and succulent

A small beauty spot on her upper lip, her choc lip I call it

Her dainty kisses are like a thousand beautiful butterflies

The butterflies now fluttering away in my stomach

In that moment there is only her and I. Time stands still

Her voice as smooth and velvety as chocolate washes over me, music to my ears

'I love you,' she whispers
