They captured Dr. Zola, the scientist who created the weapons for Johann Schmidt.
The crumbled building remains crunched underneath my feet as I searched for Steve. No one had seen him for a while.

"Blackout is still in effect throughout the london area." A voice said in the distance.

I kept walking before going into the building we were in before our first mission. Where we laughed and drank in happiness and celebration. I sighed as I step carefully, trying my best to avoid the broken shards of glass.

When I walked through the familiar doorway, I heard rustling on the other side. I rushed forward tensely to find Steve sitting on a chair. He turned around when I paused before reaching him. It wasn't hard to tell that he had been crying. His eyes were puffy and he rubbed his nose in an effort to cover it's redness. He sniffed before reaching for the bottle of alcohol and pouring some into a glass.

"Dr. Erskine said that the serum wouldn't just affect our muscles," I slowly walked toward him, taking off my gloves. "It would affect our cells. Create a protective system of regeneration and healing. Which means... we can't get drunk." I slightly winced at how broken he sounded. "Did you know that?" he turned toward me.

"Our metabolism burns four times faster than the average person." I dragged a chair, that wasn't broken, to the table. "He told me that he thought it could be one of the side effects." He looked down at the drink in his hands. His silence spoke more than words.

"It wasn't your fault." I said, gently.
"You were there." he muttered.
"Yes." I replied.
"Then you know that's not true." he croaked.
"You did everything you could." I reassured. "Did you believe in Bucky? Did you respect him?" I knew the answer to both questions. He met my eyes. "Then stop blaming yourself. Allow him the dignity of his choice. He knew you were worth it."

"I'm going after Schmidt." Steve began. "I'm not gonna stop until all of Hydra is dead or captured."
"And I'm going with you." I stated. He looked into my eyes and we sat there drinking liquor and trying to get drunk for the rest of the night.
