* Chapter Ten
The sound of screaming coming from the kitchen is what jolted Yoongi awake early in the morning on Wednesday. He sat up right in bed, rubbing his eyes and cringing as he heard the shouting of his two roommates through the walls. Slapping his cheeks a little, Yoongi struggled to wake up properly so he could check out why they were yelling and what the problem was.
'Jungkook you dumb fuck!' Tae shouted, sounding exasperated. Yoongi raised an eyebrow and confusion rose up in him. What the fuck is happening?
'It's not my fault! Now shut up or we'll wake Yoongi.' Jungkook shouted back and Yoongi could hear clanging and banging. It's too early and I'm too tired to deal with this shit. And they're fucking stupid if they don't realise that yelling will wake me up.
Once he was sure he was awake enough, he ventured out of his bedroom, heading towards the kitchen. As he got closer, he noticed the small trail of liquid coming towards him and as Yoongi rounded the corner, his eyes widened at the crime scene before him.
Jungkook was on his knees, a dustpan and brush in his hands, broken glass scattered around him. Tae was crouched on the countersink, hands on his knees with a concerned look on his face. Neither of them noticed Yoongi. What looked like milk (Yoongi couldn't actually be sure when it came to these two morons) was escaping the crime scene and heading its way towards Yoongi's sock covered feet. He watched it travel its way towards him. Little chocolate balls rolled around the kitchen and it clicked. Someone had dropped a fucking bowl of chocolate cereal. He restrained himself so he didn't facepalm himself.
'We need to get this cleaned up before he wakes up.' Tae hissed and Yoongi raised an eyebrow in amusement.
'Well, it's a little bit late for that now.' Yoongi retorted and Jungkook's head snapped up, eyes widening at the sight of the older one. Tae yelped in surprise.
'Uh...' He stuttered and opened his mouth before closing it again. Yoongi just smirked. Tae jumped down off the counter, landing in the milk with a splash, sending droplets everywhere. The bottom of his pants were now soaked. Taehyung didn't seem to notice or care that his pants were covered in milk. Disgusting.
'Hey, Yoongi.' He started nervously and Yoongi burst out laughing. He wasn't mad. If anything, he found the whole situation fucking hilarious. His two roommates, on their hands and knees, cleaning up cereal? What a sight.
The two little shits looked like children who'd been caught stealing cookies from the jar at midnight. Both had matching wide-eyed looks and they looked so innocent and pure with their fluffy bed (or maybe sex hair. Again, Yoongi couldn't be sure) hair and clothes that were a size too big. Jungkook was frozen, hands mid action of sweeping yet another pile of glass up while Taehyung was now on the floor, helping his boyfriend clean up as fast as he could. Oh, how I wish I could take a photo of this and send it to everyone I know. Of course, he didn't though. Yoongi wasn't that mean.
'Why are you laughing?' Jungkook asked, resting his ass on his ankles. He had a tiny angered frown on his face. The corners of his mouth were twitching though so Yoongi knew he wasn't really angry.
'It's funny. You both look like you were caught doing something you shouldn't have been doing.' Yoongi told them tiptoeing about the broken glass and spilt milk to get to the fridge. Taehyung frowned and crossed his arms while Jungkook staggered to his feet, almost falling over.
'It's not funny! I thought you were going to yell at us for breaking a bowl and spilling food everywhere.' Taehyung whined, pouting. Yoongi just glanced at the milk that was still slithering its way down the hall, but slower.
'Did you forget that I'm not Seokjin? I'm not going to yell at you because you made a tiny mistake and a mess. Just clean it up and we'll be fine.' Yoongi tried to reason and Tae just nodded, looking at the floor. Jungkook crept his way over to Tae and hugged him gently.
'I'll get a mop.' Yoongi mumbled. Trying not to step on glass or the white liquid, he ran down the hallway until he reached the cupboard where all their cleaning supplies were held. Pulling open the door and almost falling flat on his ass from how hard he had to pull, Yoongi grabbed the mop. Shutting the cupboard softly. He started walking until he reached where the milk had run to and started mopping it up. I should've probably grabbed a bucket. Oh well. Backtracking a little, Yoongi went to the storage cupboard, almost banging into the wall again as he pulled it open and grabbed the bucket. Placing the bucket down, Yoongi continued wiping up all the spilt milk.
Once he was sure all the liquid was cleaned up and there wasn't a droplet left, he walked into the kitchen. Leaning the mop against the door, he looked up and immediately covered his eyes in disgust. The two of them were kissing against the counter, Jungkook's hands were tangled in Tae's hair and Taehyung's hand gripped Jungkook's shirt in tight, balled up fists.
'Can you keep your hands off each other for one second? Please? I leave to go and get a mop and come back to my damn roommates almost fucking on the counter.' Yoongi mumbled, throwing the broom at the two. It hit Jungkook in the back and he pulled away, yelping in fright. He turned around and rolled eyes. Licking his swollen lips, he leaned down and picked up the broom. Tae got down on his knees and finished sweeping up the broken glass. He winced as he miscalculated where it was and stepped on some. Jungkook immediately tensed up and a worried look came over his face.
'I'm fine. It's just a little piece, baby.' At the use of Tae's pet name, a blush spread across Jungkook's cheeks as he went about cleaning up the milk. Once Tae was sure the glass was picked up, he looked up at Jungkook who just nodded and started cleaning around Tae. The older boy got up, quickly kissed Jungkook's cheek and poured the glass into the bin. Jungkook glanced around the kitchen and left the mop against the fridge, wrapping his arms around Tae who smiled and rubbed his back.
'Your foot.' Jungkook mumbled and they broke apart, Tae hobbling to the chair while Tae reached under the cupboard and produced the first aid kid. Yoongi still didn't know why they had the first aid kit in the kitchen but hey it came in handy at times like this. Jungkook returned to his injured boyfriend and sat at his feet, cross-legged with the first aid resting on his thighs. He gently propped Tae's bleeding foot up on a chair and inspected it, smearing the blood everywhere. Tae yelped as Jungkook brushed over a piece of glass. Wincing himself, Jungkook grabbed a pair of tweezers and slowly began picking at the small shards of glass. Every time Tae yelped or made a noise, Jungkook would squeeze his ankle and offer up a small, reassuring smile.
Yoongi found them so fucking domestic and cute he felt sick. I can't stand to watch this. They're so perfect for each other I hate it. Turning away, Yoongi walked back to his room and closed the door softly, sighing. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he grabbed his phone and opened Hoseok's message tab.
Yoongi: Taekook are so fucking domestic and cute it makes me sick. End me and them.
Hope: Taekook????
To be honest, Yoongi was kind of surprised that Hoseok had answered. It was seven in the fucking morning and he figured that Hoseok would be asleep.
Yoongi: Jungkook and Taehyung aka the two nerds in that video yesterday.
Suddenly Yoongi's phone sprang to life in his hands, Hoseok's name flashing on the screen. Surprised, Yoongi just stared at the picture of Hoseok smiling. He never calls me on my phone. Why today all of a sudden? Pressing answer, he grinned and his heart picked up the pace in his chest, beating loudly. I feel like a fucking thirteen-year-old girl whose crush has finally spoken to her. Dear god, I'm being reverted back to high school. And Yoongi hated the way Hoseok was able to make him feel the way he did in eighth grade.
'Hey Yoongi.' Hoseok's voice graced Yoongi's ears and he couldn't help the way his heart skipped a beat at that way his name rolled of Hoseok's tongue. And god he sounded like a fourteen year old girl but his name had never sounded better to him.
'Hey Hobi. How are you?' Yoongi asked quietly, biting his thumbnail.
'I've had better days.' Hoseok mumbled and it could've just been Yoongi but his voice sounded thick like he'd been crying or like he was about to burst into tears.
'Are you okay? You sound like you're about to cry.' At that, Hoseok burst into a fit of giggles and cleared his throat. Yoongi narrowed his eyes in response. Definitely hiding something. He has been crying.
'No I promise I'm okay. I'm just stressed.' Yoongi hummed but didn't believe it. He knew that Hoseok was bullshitting him. Not wanting to make it any worse though, he just went with it.
'Okay.' He mumbled. Fiddling with his fading hair, Yoongi fell back onto the bed. A weird silence settled over them and for the first time, Yoongi was uncomfortable. He had no idea what he wanted to say to Hoseok. Usually, he had a range of conversations or things to say but this time, he had nothing. Even Hoseok, the boy who was pretty much known for never shutting up, was at a loss for words. It unnerved Yoongi to the point where a weird feeling crept up his neck, poking at him.
'It's not just me, right? It's weird between us?' Hoseok spoke up and Yoongi hummed again.
'It is. You're not the only one,' Yoongi agreed. They fell into a weird silence again and Yoongi could hear the two dorks in the kitchen, bickering over making breakfast. The stream of light coming in through the window illuminated the specs of dust (or dead skin. Jungkook once told him it was dead skin) and spread its rays over Yoongi's feet. He could feel the heat radiating off from the bed and he really couldn't care about how hot it was right now. 'Why did you call me? You've never called me.'
'Oh. I'm sorry. I can hang up if you want.' And Yoongi's heart broke at the anxious tone Hoseok's voice held. He sounded so nervous and wound up and Yoongi really had no idea why.
'No it's okay. I was just surprised, that's all. I love hearing your voice so please don't hang up.'
'Tell me about your roommates.' Hoseok asked and ruffling noises came through his end of the phone.
'Okay but first, answer this for me. Why are you up at seven in the morning?' Yoongi knew it was a little past seven but his point still remained the same.
'Couldn't sleep. Tell me about your roommates.' Hoseok's voice was soft and Yoongi pictured him lying on the bed, one hand propping his head upon the pillow while the other held the phone to his ear. He could see Hoseok lying under the covers, wide awake while Jimin slept beside him, curled away. His imagination was good up until he saw Jimin and he scrunched his nose up in disgust. I don't hate Jimin at all. He makes Hoseok happy. Yet the more he repeated it to himself, the more comical and more like a lie it became.
'Well, first off there's Jungkook. He's the youngest out of the four of us,' he heard Hoseok take in a breath and Yoongi giggled before continuing. 'He graduates high school in about two weeks? Well, on the tenth of November anyway. He's the most mature in my opinion. Jungkook is so silly yet at the same time, he's so much older than he appears and I keep forgetting he's an eighteen year old kid who's experienced so much. I'm so proud of everything he's been through.' By the end of his sentence, Yoongi's voice had hushed to a whisper and Hoseok let out a strangled aw. A blush spread across Yoongi's cheeks. I swear to god if those gremlins are listening they won't live to see tonight.
'How about Taehyung?' Hoseok asked.
'Taehyung. He's the second youngest and sort of related to me in the same sense he's not. His sister was friends with my little brother at one point which is how I ended up living with him. He's also the reason I live with Jungkook. Tae graduated high school last year and just recently got fired from his job. He's sensitive in a way. He's been through almost as much as Jungkook has and he still manages to have that box smile no matter what. His grandma got ill recently and I haven't seen him cry. If anything he's been so happy which can't be easy for him. Especially with how Jin's been treating him lately. He's so immature. Worse than Jungkook. Tae's such a fucking troublemaker but he's so loyal. Both boys are and I love them.' Yoongi admitted, and Hoseok let out another aw.
'That's the first time I've ever heard you talk about someone like that. It's weird.' Hoseok giggled and Yoongi couldn't help but laugh too. He felt funny. His legs felt like jelly from being so tensed up the whole time he spoke and he felt warm all over.
'Yeah well, despite what everyone thinks, I do have a heart.' He mumbled and Hoseok couldn't stop laughing. Yoongi's heart picked up the pace again and he was sure one of these days, Hoseok would kill him. To him, Hoseok's laugh was one of the greatest noises and if he had to pick one sound to listen to for the rest of his life, it would be his laugh. Yoongi would never tire of it.
At that moment, Taehyung tumbled into his room, eyes wide and a giddy smile on his face.
'What the fuck do you want?' Yoongi snapped, offended that Taehyung had the audacity to interrupt his conversation with Hoseok. His tone didn't faze Tae though, just made him grin bigger. Hoseok snorted at Yoongi's words.
'Who is that?' He asked.
'Gremlin one. Taehyung,' He said to Hoseok before addressing Tae. 'What? I'm on the phone.'
'Relax, Yoongi. I get it. You need to talk to your boyfriend but this is important.' Yoongi spluttered at Tae's comment about his supposed boyfriend and he hoped Hoseok didn't hear it. Thankfully, if he did, he didn't comment on it and instead just laughed again, louder than usual. Yoongi didn't find the situation that funny and he was starting to wonder if Hoseok was getting awkward. It sure as hell sounded like it. Tae's comment about him probably didn't help either.
'What is it?' Yoongi asked.
'Jin's here.' Tae said and immediately, Yoongi froze up. Jin was back? He should've been ecstatic that his roommate was back but all he felt was a concoction of dread and anger.
'I'll call you back, Hoseok.' Yoongi whispered.
'Okay. I love you.' Hoseok's voice was so soft and hesitant and Yoongi's heart melted in his chest. He's the cutest I love him.
'I love you too. Bye, Hope.' Hanging up, he climbed off the bed and followed Taehyung back to the kitchen. As he got closer, the tense atmosphere in the apartment increased until it got to the point where it threatened both of them. They saw Jungkook first, leaning against the counter with a pissed off look on his face and his arms folded over his chest. Tae rushed over to Jungkook and grabbed onto his hands, rubbing his thumbs over the back of Jungkook's. Yoongi then saw Jin sitting at the table, head in his hands. He looked so stressed. So much has fucking happened and it's only eight in the morning.
'Hey, Seokjin.' Yoongi said, taking a seat across from his roommate and immediately, Jin looked up, eyes going wide.
'Hey.' He mumbled and Yoongi just stared at his roommate with a weird expression. It'd only been three or four days since he'd last seen Jin and he was shocked to see that Jin looked different. He had minor bags under his eyes, his lips were more chapped and his hair was sticking up in all directions like he'd nonstop been running his hands through his hair.
'Come on, Jeon.' Tae whispered, tugging on Jungkook's hand and shirt. Grudgingly, Jungkook followed Tae back to their room, leaving Jin and Yoongi alone. For once, Jin was at a loss for words and Yoongi didn't know what to say either. Yoongi had so many things to say to his roommate, half of which were insults, but now that Seokjin was actually back, he had a hard time saying them and telling him anything. So he just sat there quietly, playing with a loose string on the table cloth. Jin wouldn't look at him, glancing around the room at anywhere but Yoongi. His hands were clenched under the table and Yoongi could feel so many mixed emotions radiating off him that it was hard to pinpoint a single one. Jin eventually settled his gaze on Yoongi's hand, watching how his fingers picked at the thread and pulled it out of the table. Yoongi watch Seokjin, trying to study him. It was like a game, waiting to see who would crack under the pressure first.
They sat there for a while, Yoongi wasn't sure for how long but eventually Jungkook and Tae came running out of their room, talking to each other. Both boys clutched a piece of paper in their hands and they scooted to a halt when they saw Jin and Yoongi sitting at the table. The two of them turned around at the exact same time, almost like an animation character and stared at Yoongi.
'Why are you two just sitting here? Anyway, we're off to deliver our resumes at that ice cream place. Possibly to go and look for those flower things girls wear on their wrists. I want one. And before you ask, we have money for the bus and no, I don't know when we'll be back. Anything else?' Jungkook said when Yoongi opened his mouth. Jungkook had a serious expression on his face while Taehyung tried not to laugh behind his hand. Yoongi raised an eyebrow.
'Yes. Be safe and careful. Also be home by ten.' Yoongi teased and Jungkook rolled his eyes.
'Okay, fine. Yes, mum.' Jungkook joked and Yoongi swatted him with his hand.
'Bye you fucking dorks! See you later tonight before your dance.' He called as the younger boys left, holding hands and running. Even when the door shut behind them, Yoongi could still hear the pounding of their feet down the hallway.
'What dance?' Seokjin spoke up and Yoongi jumped a little in his seat. Jin had been so quiet that Yoongi had forgotten that he was even there for a split second.
'Jungkook has a dance tonight for his graduation. I went suit shopping with him yesterday for a suit. It's so beautiful. If you stick around tonight, you'll get to see it.' Yoongi mumbled and he didn't mean for his words to sound harsh. Yet, the way Jin's eyes widened and he frowned, Yoongi knew Jin had taken them that way.
'Yoongi-' Jin started and Yoongi shook his head, clenching his hand.
'Why did you leave? I don't understand.'
'I was angry.' Jin offered up and it wasn't enough.
'You are so lucky nothing happened. Sure, we're both overreacting here but just so you know, Tae got fired. He was so fucking terrified to tell you, by the way. So, it was pretty much my shitty income that I relied on to pay the fucking bills! Thankfully, they don't arrive until this Friday so I don't have to worry. Jin, we fucking need you here. Just because you were angry at me or Taehyung, you help pay this fucking rent and apartment and help keep us alive! You know what my first thought was when you didn't show up after twenty-four hours? I thought you'd abandoned us with no warning.' Yoongi ranted and Jin stared at him, mouth open. A few minutes passed before Jin spoke again.
'You're right. I don't really have an explanation as to why. Well, I don't have an excuse. But I'm sorry.' He whispered and Yoongi just shook his head again, furious.
'I was scared you'd left us. I was so scared that you'd decided that our friendship was over and that you were done.' He uttered and the older boy hesitantly grabbed Yoongi's hands, squeezing it gently. All Yoongi could do was stare at him. So many emotions were swirling around inside of him. Sure, he was angry that Jin had left them without any clear warning or explanation as to how long he'd be gone for. On the other hand, though, he was relieved he was back.
'Please don't ever fucking do that again or I will kill you in your sleep.' Yoongi smiled which made Jin crack a tiny smile in return.
'I promise.' He sighed. They fell into a silence again. Jin was tracing patterns on the back of Yoongi's hand and Yoongi was studying Jin. He seriously looked like shit.
'You look like shit by the way.'
'Geez, thanks.' Seokjin mumbled sarcastically and Yoongi snorted.
'Did you get any sleep? You really look like you haven't slept in fourteen days.' Immediately, Yoongi placed his hand on Jin's forehead who backed away, a grumpy look on his face. He wasn't sick. He didn't have a fever. He was just tired.
'Why fourteen? But no. I haven't slept. Not a lot anyway. I was too busy thinking about shit. Seriously stop. I'm not sick.' Jin smacked at Yoongi's hand again as he attempted to feel for Jin's temperature. Giving up, his hand fell back onto the table.
'Go and sleep right now. I've got to get ready for work but on my way home, I'll bring you back something to eat, okay?' He said and Jin just nodded, yawning as if Yoongi's words triggered it.
'Alright, mum. Since when did we trade roles in this house?' He mumbled standing. Yoongi grabbed onto his shoulder and pushed him towards the bedroom gently. The older boy was moving on autopilot by now, too tired to argue. Opening the door, he waddled over to his own bed, immediately falling onto the mattress. Yoongi let go and closed the curtains, cutting off the light that was seeping into the room. He flicked the switch on the fan and pointed it at Jin, who raised an eyebrow. Shrugging, Yoongi pointed to the aircon. It fucking broke. Seeming to get the message, Jin nodded and huffed.
'Since you decided that it was okay to treat yourself like shit and not look after your health. I expect you to sleep up until I get home at around five.' He mumbled.
'Yes mum.' His words were slurred slightly as he immediately drifted off to sleep. Yoongi smiled and kissed Jin's forehead before grabbing his work uniform and walking to the bathroom.

By the time four had rolled around, Yoongi was 100% done with work. He'd made so many pizzas that his hands were covered in flour, dealt with so many rude fucking customers he was about to snap at the next person who even spoke the wrong word to him. He was sure that his arms and face were covered in blisters from constantly going into the ovens and retrieving the pizzas. Every part of him ached and he was tired.
Rolling his neck, he glanced down at his half rolled pizza dough. He was supposed to be making another Hawaiian pizza but by now, he had forgotten what went on what pizza. In fact, at some point during the last twenty minutes, he'd thrown ham on a cheese pizza. He probably would've cooked it if Mina hadn't shouted at him for not doing his job properly. Even now, she kept telling him what to do, like he was a toddler learning how to do things on his own.
Yoongi glanced up at the clock again and groaned when he saw that only five minutes had passed.
'Are you okay?' Mina asked, spreading the tomato paste over the pizza base.
'Yeah. The dance is tonight and I really want to see my roommates getting all dressed up for it. Work is dragging on way too long.' Yoongi groaned and his phone buzzed in his pocket. Glancing around, he pulled out his phone and hid it under the workbench.
Hope: Do you think I should go pink or orange? Jimin's dying my hair.
Yoongi couldn't help the little pang in his chest. I really don't hate Jimin. Yet, every time he pictured the two of them doing domestic stuff, or even Jimin in general, he got so jealous it ate at his insides.
Yoongi: Go orange. Then show me. Please.
'You know, you really need to stop doing this shit. Texting during work. You'll get caught. Wait a minute, where's your necklace?' Mina asked, narrowing her eyes. Yoongi's hand immediately went to his neck, feeling around for the burning chain. That was when he realised that he hadn't felt the familiar guilt or ache all day. He hadn't put the necklace on.
'I must've forgotten to put it on today.' He mumbled, hiding his phone again.
'How?' Mina asked her attention on her pizza. Yoongi was glad she wasn't paying attention to him right now.
'Jin came home last night and I got preoccupied making sure he was okay.' Yoongi mumbled as Hoseok messaged him again. Mina glanced over briefly as Yoongi opened the text.
Hope: Orange it is then. Also, I fucking planned to send you a selfie whether you wanted one or not. That's the person I am, Yoongi ;)
Yoongi: Shut up. Go dye your hair and stop patronising me
Hope: Do you know what that word even means?
Yoongi: Fuck you.
Hope: ;)
Yoongi's cheeks flamed up and Mina gagged. She'd been reading the messages over Yoongi's shoulder.
'You two are disgusting. Get married already.' She said but there was a small grin on her face. Yoongi smiled a little, turning back to his pizza. I've got to kiss him first. That'll never happen though. He's too in love with Jimin. Anger burned inside of him and he didn't really know who it was directed at. All he knew was that he was boiling with anger at someone.
At the exact moment that Yoongi was slipping his phone away, Jonghyun showed up, staring at the two of them with a quizzical expression.
'You're free to go for the day.' He announced. Mina glanced at Yoongi and turned around at the exact time, matching bewildered expressions on their faces.
'What?' They both shouted at the same time. Jonghyun just smiled and clapped them both on the shoulder.
'I know both of you have plans. Mina has a date with someone and you have a dance by the sounds of it.' Jonghyun says and Yoongi just frowns slightly, nodding a little. What the fuck? Judging by the look on Mina's face, she was thinking something similar.
'Uh yeah.' She mumbled, playing with the loose strands of her hair.
'So, you're free to go!' Jonghyun announced again and Yoongi poked at his ears, making sure that his boss wasn't playing a stupid trick on him. That if he did leave here early, he wouldn't be fired. With a shrug, Mina took her hat off and handed it to her boss before collecting her stuff and leaving.
'Are you really letting us go?' Yoongi asked. Jonghyun nodded, the little ponytail on top of his head bobbing up and down. Momentarily mesmerised, Yoongi watched it.
'Yes. You and Mina are free to go today. I'm feeling extra nice. Plus it's not all that busy,' Jonghyun leaned in closer and lowered his voice. 'Besides you guys are my favourite employees. You didn't hear that from me though.' He cleared his throat and Yoongi grinned again.
'Thank you, sir.' He shouted, running out of the backdoor.

When Yoongi had arrived home, Jin was sitting at the table, holding onto a cup of coffee. His hair was sticking up all over the place and he looked tired, but slightly better than a few hours ago.
'Hey Yoongi.' He yawned and waved as his roommate came into the room. After throwing his keys onto the bench, Yoongi sat across from Jin and looked at him.
'Hey. Did you sleep like I asked you to?' Yoongi questioned, feeling Jin's forehead again. Jin made a noise of protest and moved away.
'Yes. Right up until I heard noises coming from Jungkook's room. I got woken up.' He grumbled.
'Oh shut up, Seokjin.' Yoongi heard Jungkook shout and couldn't hold back the snort that came out of his mouth. Jin began mocking him, scrunching his face up and copying what the youngest one had said in a high pitched tone.
'You're gonna get a smack.' Jungkook's footsteps could be heard coming from the hallway. Anticipation seized hold of Yoongi and it took too long for Jungkook to appear in front of them, dressed in his suit. Just like the day at the shop, Yoongi couldn't stop the gasp that left his mouth. Jungkook really did look so attractive in the suit and Yoongi couldn't help the swell of emotion.
'You look amazing.' Yoongi whispered, eyes skimming his roommate up and down. Nervously, Jungkook played with his sleeves as he waited for Tae.
His hair was gelled down slightly, parted and showing off his forehead. He looked older. The button up was done up all the way and tucked neatly into his ironed trousers. The front button of his jacket was fastened and the tie was neatly tied, sitting under the collar of the jacket. Yoongi noticed he was wearing a wrist corsage and he couldn't stop the grin that appeared. That was until he caught sight of the huge fucking hickey on the side of Jungkook's neck and he scowled.
'For one fucking day. Taehyung had to mark you, didn't he? For crying out loud.' Jin mumbled at the same time that Yoongi opened his mouth. Both boys looked at each other, grinning.
'Oh shut the fuck up. Don't ruin it- oh holy shit Taehyung.' Jungkook let out a rush of air as Tae came out of their bedroom and began walking towards them. Yoongi held his breath, waiting and anticipating. Not soon enough, Tae came into Yoongi's view and he groaned, slamming his head on the table. He had to wear a fucking sparkly suit, didn't he?
Tae's suit jacket was filled with sparkly sequins in a zig-zag black and white pattern. The buttons were done up but Yoongi could still see the tiny ruffles on his undershirt and he wanted to die.
'You look like a disaster.' Jin said bluntly, folding his arms. He was trying so hard not to laugh. Tae glanced down at his shirt and shrugged, entwining his hands with Jungkook's. Both of them stared at each other, grinning and giggling.
At that moment, Yoongi realised how much they'd both grown in a few years. Jungkook was no longer this small child with big eyes and a bunny smile. He was a grown boy with the same bunny smile but more mature. He no longer was a skinny kid. He was a man. Tae was no longer a boy either. He'd grown into a young gentleman with a bad taste in fashion. Yoongi couldn't have been more proud of them. Quickly pulling out his phone, he snapped a photo and sent it to Hoseok.
Yoongi: I feel like a proud mumTM. They've both grown so much oh deer.
Hope: They look so cute !! Aw !! The sparkly jacket is so ugly tho.
Yoongi: I know.
'Hoseok says you both look lovely.' Yoongi mumbled and glanced at the time. Jungkook grinned before kissing Tae's cheek.
'Okay we should get going before we're late. Bye!' Jungkook shouted, squeezing his boyfriend's hand. They both ran out the door, talking about the dance.
'Have fun! Please be responsible!' Yoongi shouted after them and he was sure he heard Tae shout 'no promises' but he couldn't be sure. After they could no longer hear the pounding footsteps of the two gremlins running, a silence settled over the room.
'Why do I feel like I'm about to cry?' Jin spoke up, rubbing at his eyes. Yoongi turned around and smiled. Both of them looked at each other. Yoongi's emotions were about to burst and his chest hurt, pride overflowing. Jin's expression matched exactly what Yoongi was feeling.
'I don't know but I feel like a proud parent.' He whispered and Jin nodded, getting up to shut the door.
'Me too. I hope they're responsible.' He mumbled and shook his head. Rolling his eyes, Yoongi stood. Jin smirked.
'They'll be fine. Up for a game of Mario Cart? Better yet, ready to get your ass kicked?' He teased and Jin smacked him upside the head before dashing into the lounge room with Yoongi hot on his trails. Jin skidded in front of the TV and crouched down, flicking through their games.
'You wish!' The older one shouted, and began setting up the game. He chucked a remote to Yoongi, who was sitting on the couch.
'Ready?' Jin asked, taking a seat beside him and pressing start. Jin was staring at the screen while Yoongi was staring at Jin. It's good to have him back.
