* Chapter Nine

Jin still hadn't come back to the apartment after three days and Yoongi was really starting to think that their friendship was over. He hadn't even replied to Yoongi's texts no matter how much he spammed Jin. He read them at first then just straight up ignored him after that. Eventually, Yoongi stopped trying to contact Jin and just gave up.

He used his work as an excuse to keep his mind off Jin, even going as far as to ask for extra shifts. Jonghyun had happily agreed without much question only asking, 'how come you want extra? Don't you want to spend time with your fiancée?' To which Yoongi had cringed, his hand immediately going to clutch at the ring dangling around his neck. He really wanted to come clean and tell everyone that it was all a fucking fake wedding but Yoongi would probably get fired.

'I need the extra money to pay for the wedding.' He lied and Jonghyun had nodded and asked to see the ring, making up the excuse that he hadn't had a proper look yet. Yoongi didn't really believe it since Jonghyun had spent twenty minutes on Monday admiring it but he didn't care, he was more than ecstatic to take it off for a while and hand it over to his boss. The ring still felt like it was burning into his skin. The only time he wore it was at work otherwise he'd drown in the guilt that hung around with the ring. When he got home, he left it on the hook near the door.

On Tuesday, he asked to have his break for two hours between twelve and three so he could go tux shopping for his 'wedding' when really it was just to take Jungkook to get a fancy suit for his dance.

'I don't know. You know how busy we are.' Jonghyun had hesitated and Yoongi wouldn't beg. He had some dignity left. Instead he offered a sad smile and held onto Jin's ring tightly. Guilt swelled up inside of him, threatening to choke him. He felt stupid and somewhat dirty for lying and using Jin's ring as an excuse to get what he wanted, manipulating his boss into this. He was guilty over so many things that it was starting to hurt him. Not even Hoseok could help him now.

'Please, Jonghyun. I'll make it up to you. I really need to go tux shopping today.' Yoongi was borderline begging now (and he mentally kicked himself for acting like this) and his boss raised an eyebrow.

'Why today though? Why can't it wait until tomorrow?' He questioned. The wheels in Yoongi's head turned, trying to come up with a believable excuse.

'They're on sale today. Besides, it's the only day where Jin can get a break from college and his job.' He lied. He hadn't even spoken to Jin in a day or so. He no longer knew whether he was working or even attending classes at this point. He really had no clue and he was starting to get worried. Yet, Jin wouldn't flatten his worries no matter how many times Yoongi tried to ask. It was like Jin enjoyed seeing Yoongi suffer like this.

'Fine. Only for two hours though. When you return, we'll discuss more work hours for you and whatnot.' Jonghyun sighed and Yoongi held in a squeal thanking his boss so much that he rolled his eyes and left. Yoongi returned to his work station, smiling at Mina who just shook her head.

Taking off his hat, he wiped it over his forehead, trying to collect as much sweat as possible. He could feel it dripping down his back and his neck was slick. The worst part of his job in summer was spending time around the ovens. It was like living on the fucking sun.

'So I know you aren't really engaged to this Jin guy because one, you've never brought him up. I know how you act when you're in love. Plus I know you have a roommate that's called Jin so the pieces fit together,' Yoongi shrugged, not really afraid of being caught in a lie. He didn't have to worry about Mina spilling her guts. 'What's the real reason you're getting this two hour break?' Mina asked, not looking up from the pizza she was making. Yoongi watched her skinny fingers roll the pin over the dough. He could see the sweat pooling in her gloves and the droplets dripping down her face.

'First off, I've never been in love so you have no idea how I act. Stop lying it'll turn you ugly. Secondly, My roommate's graduating high school in two weeks and we need to get a tux for his dance tomorrow.' Yoongi answered and quickly looked around before pulling his phone out, texting Jungkook.

Yoongi: You better be ready by the time I get there. I only have an hour or so before I have to be back at work and I don't want to be waiting for your ass.

Kookie: I'm ready lmao. Just finished my final exam for the year. Tae's coming along too.

Yoongi: Why is Tae tagging along? Doesn't he have work? Congrats on your exam tho. I bet you aced it!!

'Aw that's so sweet. The ice cold Yoongi has a heart and he's taking his roommate shopping,' Mina chose to ignore Yoongi's comment about lying and smiled instead. She paused her pizza making and turned to look at Yoongi with a raised eyebrow. 'How many fucking roommates do you have and why are you living with a high school graduate who is four years younger than you? ' Yoongi quickly hid his phone from a co-worker who was staring at them as he walked past.

'I have three roommates.' Yoongi answered, his phone resurfacing from under the work bench.

Kookie: He got fired on Saturday.

'That still doesn't explain how you ended up with a high school roommate. Tell me about the rest of them. This is the first time you've brought them up.' Mina exclaimed and she completely abandoned her pizza to listen to Yoongi. Leaning her hip on the workbench (which was unsanitary but at this point Yoongi didn't care) she crossed her arms over her flour-smeared work shirt.

'You know about Jin. He's in his second year of college. Then there's Taehyung who's a year out of high school. Jungkook's the youngest and he's graduating in a little under two weeks.' He checked the time and sighed. He had a less than an hour until his break. Too long in his opinion.

Kookie: Don't be too angry at him, Yoongi. He's sorry.

Yoongi: I'm not. Just tell him he's coming and he better be ready or else. I'm not fucking around today. 45 minutes.

'How did you end up living with the younger two? I understand Jin since you guys were in the same debate team but the other two? Aren't they like three years younger than you?' Mina yelped as Jonghyun told them to get back to work. Immediately, she turned back to her pizza base and her hands kept at the dough.

'It's a long story. Tae's kinda related to me and Jungkook's his boyfriend so he was a 'buy one get one free' deal.' Yoongi started throwing pepperoni slices onto Mina's now tomato paste covered base. How the fuck are we going to pay our bills plus Jin's funds now?

The money all three of them was split into different categories: money for bills/funds, food and other stuff like repairs of Jungkook's school supplies. None of them made a lot and it barely covered their bills, minus the huge college funds Jin had. It was stressful but it worked. Now that Tae had been fired, Yoongi was seriously stressing over this. I hope he can get another fucking job.

'Wait Taehyung's related to you? I thought you only had two brothers that you no longer talked to. How is he related to you?' Mina asked. Yoongi bit his lip.

'Well, he's sort of related to me. My mum was good friends with his grandma so they kind of just said we were cousins or something.' Yoongi explained, popping their now complete pizza into the oven. He dusted his hands over his slacks.

His story was half true. Both Tae and Yoongi went to the same high school and Yoongi's younger brother knew Tae's little sister which meant that both of their carers knew each other. So when Yoongi was looking for an apartment, his mum suggested taking in Jungkook and Taehyung so that Tae's grandma had less stress on her poor soul. Which led Yoongi to asking Jin, who at the time was living with a shitty housemate, if they could move in for a few weeks. Jin immediately said yes since it meant he got to live with someone he knew and trusted and his housemate, who'd kept the apartment dirty, was kicked out.

'Okay cool.' Mina glanced at the clock just as another order came through. Immediately, she handed it over to another worker.

'You go on break now don't you?' Yoongi asked and groaned as she nodded. Mina pulled her hat and gloves off, throwing her gloves in the trash and shoving her hat into her pocket.

'Suck it, Yoongi.' She winked.

'I'm trying. It's not easy getting some when you balance a shit ton of work hours and live with three nosey housemates,' Mina smacked him with her hat for that. 'Do you think you can give me a lift home? I kinda walked here today.' Yoongi asked and Mina rolled her eyes.

'Fine. But only because I like you,' She grumbled before turning to face the back of the kitchen where Jonghyun's office was located. 'Hey boss! Yoongi's going on break now purely because I am and he needs to get home to his fiancée!' She shouted and the chatter in the kitchen ceased, with all eyes on Mina who was grinning and Yoongi who was blushing under the attention.

'You're engaged?' Minho, one of the employees asked with wide eyes and a few more voices piped up, asking the same thing. Yoongi just stared at his feet as the chatter began again but this time about Yoongi and his 'engagement.'

'I'm going to fucking kill you.' He mumbled, pinching Mina's waist. She just grinned again and grabbed Yoongi's arm.

'Alright back to work everyone! You can all interrogate Yoongi after work!' Jonghyun shouted, coming out of the office. Majority of the employees went back to work and Yoongi was grateful for his boss right now. He shot Jonghyun a grateful smile.

'Thank you, sir.' He whispered and Jonghyun clapped him on the shoulder, a huge grin on his face.

'No problem. Now off you two go. Mina, I expect you back here at one. Yoongi your deadline is two. Don't be late or else.' He turned serious and Mina fake saluted him before leaving work in a hurry, Yoongi rolled his eyes and followed, waving goodbye to his boss and co-workers.

Mina was leaning on her car, phone in hand when Yoongi joined her. She looked up, slipped her phone into her pocket and climbed into her car. Yoongi climbed in the passenger side of the car when she waved her hand.

'You shitheads better be ready now or else.' Yoongi calls out as he unlocks the apartment door. He paused, trying to pick out any noises. There was literally no sound and it was kind of scary. Did they decide to kill each other or something? Closing the door softly behind him, he ventured further into the apartment. Looking down the hallway he could see Jungkook and Tae's door open ajar. So they are home. Why is it so quiet then?

As he got closer to the door, he could hear the soft murmur of their voices and he stopped outside, listening in. Unfortunately, he could only just hear what they were saying and by the sound it, he'd walked in mid-conversation.

'Kookie, everything is my fault though. If it wasn't for me...' Tae mumbled, his voice thick and Yoongi's heart leapt. He'd been crying. Everything's his fault? Tae, nothing is your fault. Maybe it was but

Yoongi could just picture them. Jungkook lying on his side with Taehyung facing him, pressed up against his chest, hidden away under the blanket. Jungkook's hands were probably tangled in Taehyung's hair, playing with the soft strands, keeping Taehyung sleepy.

'I know. But you know how Jin is. Nothing is your fault either. This shit happens for a reason.' Jungkook replied.

'I miss him. When's he coming home?' Taehyung's voice was so soft that Yoongi almost missed what he said. Times like this, he also forgot that Tae was older than Jungkook.

With the way both of them acted, Yoongi could almost forget who was older. Taehyung had a more childish aura and personality to him than Jungkook. Tae tended to get upset more easily and tended to act more like a five year old than Jungkook.

Jungkook on the other hand, acted more mature and older than he was. Sure, he had moments where he was a little shit but majority of the times, he was making older decisions and deciding things more than Tae was.

'I don't know,' Jungkook paused. 'I think Yoongi's home. Come on, babe.' Yoongi could hear the shuffling of the bed and he knocked on the door, heart pounding. Jungkook opened it, a strained smile on his pretty face and he glanced behind him.

'Hey. You two ready to go?' Yoongi asked, feeling awkward. Jungkook probably knew that Yoongi had been eavesdropping but didn't bring it up.

'Almost. Taehyung's just pulling on a shirt now.' Jungkook mumbled just as the door was open wider and Tae stood, grinning. Jungkook smiled at his boyfriend and placed a quick kiss to his cheek, making Yoongi gag.

'Alright lovebirds let's get going.' Yoongi rolled his eyes and turned around, walking towards the front door. After checking that his wallet and phone were in his pocket, he tapped his foot, watching the two younger boys whisper to each other before joining Yoongi at the door. With a shake of his head, Yoongi ushered both boys out the door. Jungkook paused and watched Taehyung, who was talking to himself, run ahead. Once he was sure his boyfriend was out of earshot, Jungkook turned to Yoongi.

'Please don't bring up his job or anything. He's so sensitive right now I don't want to see him breakdown, okay? I hate it.' Jungkook's voice cracked and Yoongi could see how glassy his eyes were, shining with unshed tears. His bottom lip wobbled and Yoongi nodded.

'I promise I won't bring it up. You have my word on that, Kookie.' He squeezed the younger's shoulder gently and Kookie nodded, trying his hardest not to cry.

'He said he'll do his best to try and fix everything and get another job and make you and Jin proud of him again.' Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, overwhelmed.

'He doesn't need to do anything though. I'm not angry at him for anything. I'm stressed but it's not all his fault.' Yoongi sighed just as Tae poked his head back into the apartment frowning.

'Are we going tux shopping or is that not happening anymore?' He asked, frowning slightly. Jungkook started giggling and he grabbed Tae's hand, kissing him softly.

'It's still happening. We were just talking about Yoongi's work.' Jungkook lied and Yoongi kept his mouth shut. He wasn't the best liar and if he opened his mouth, Taehyung would know for sure that they weren't.

'Oh okay. Well, let's go!' He shouted before bounding away again. Yoongi looked at Jungkook who just shrugged and followed his boyfriend, grinning. They're so sickeningly in love I hate it.

***

Due to how lazy Yoongi was and their tight time schedule, they caught the bus to the shopping centre instead of walking. It was jam packed and Yoongi ended up being squished in a two-seater chair next to Tae while Jungkook sat in Tae's lap. The whole trip there, they whispered and kissed each other. Every time they kissed Yoongi was 100% sure he lost five years of his life and heavy jealously rose up in him.

Eventually, he turned away from the lovebirds and stared out the window. When the bus drove past Jin's university, Yoongi couldn't help the pang of emotions in his chest. He missed his best friend. Was he okay? Did he attend classes? Was Jin looking after himself properly? Yoongi was worried about him and if Jin just sent him a message telling him he was okay then he could relax.

Yoongi: I miss you and I hope you're looking after yourself properly and attending classes.

Read 12:02pm.

Yoongi sighed and rested his head on the window. At least he was reading them.

Thoughts of Hoseok filled him. If only he wasn't so in love with him. Hoseok was the whole reason he was even in the position with Jin. If Yoongi wasn't so in love with Hoseok, maybe he could've said yes to Jin's confession and everything would be fine. Yet, Yoongi couldn't find the anger to feel at Hoseok. Just disappointment at himself for being like this.

'Yoongi we're here.' Tae's voice broke his train of thought and Yoongi silently got up and followed the lovebirds off the bus. He smiled slightly at the driver and climbed down the stairs, staring at the building in front of him. Jungkook wouldn't stop bouncing and humming and rambling nonsense. Yoongi just stared at him. Taehyung was grinning and the complete look of love on his face made

Yoongi roll his eyes. Walking inside, he left the two dorks outside in the heat. The cool blast of aircon hit Yoongi and he melted, eyes closed. After spending hours around hot ovens and living in an apartment with no aircon, it felt

borderline orgasmic to be standing in icy air.

'And you call us embarrassing.' Jungkook's voice made Yoongi jump, eyes opening. Standing right beside him was the two of them, eyebrows raised and arms crossed. Taehyung was biting his lip so he didn't crack up laughing and Jungkook was silently judging him. Yoongi punched both of their shoulders.

'Leave me alone both of you. I don't have a good aircon in my room, unlike someone,' a pointed look at Taehyung who just smirked. 'Now, where the fuck are we going I don't come here often.' Yoongi asked. Jungkook pointed towards a fancy looking shop called Aly filled with dresses and suits.

'I came up here on Saturday with a friend from school and don't look at me like that Tae. Anyway, I came up here and in there is a really cheap, but really pretty suit. Can we please have a look?' Jungkook pleaded and Yoongi couldn't help but pick up on the way Jeon said it was cheap. As much as he loved that he was thinking of the prices and how expensive everything was, Yoongi couldn't help but feel a little guilty.

Jeon shouldn't have been worrying about a pricey suit for something like this that only happened once in his life and it hurt Yoongi.

'Tell you what. Let's have a look at other suits before that okay?' Jungkook's face fell and Yoongi continued. 'I don't want you to have a cheap suit. You should have a pretty decent looking one and well, this only happens once so there's really no harm on my wallet.' Jungkook's whole face lit up and even though Yoongi's bank account will be screaming at him, it probably wouldn't bother him

if he got to see the look on Jungkook's face.

'Are you sure?' He questioned, frowning a little. Tae took his hand.

'Yeah. Now let's get going we're wasting time.' He ushered them into the shop and Jungkook immediately ran over the men's section, looking at the fancy shirts and trousers.

Yoongi: So, I apologise for not talking to you earlier

Hope: Nah its okay. I get it. You're busy.

Yoongi frowned a little after reading Hoseok's

that up.

Yoongi: You're mad at me.

Hope: Just a little.

Yoongi: I'm sorry.

Hope: Make it up to me. It seriously upset me that you didn't talk to me for three days after your roommate found out about me.

Hope: You're not ashamed of me, are you? Bc it sure as hell felt like it.

Hope: I thought you decided that now that I wasn't a dirty secret or whatever that you wanted nothing to do with me anymore.

Hope: I can't lose you. Not you. Anyone but you.

He could practically feel the emotion Hoseok was pouring into the text. He could pick up on so many different emotions it hurt. Yoongi was racked with so much guilt that it threatened to choke him. Invisible hands wrapped themselves around his neck and he struggled to breathe properly. He never meant to ignore Hoseok like that. He just got so caught up in the drama with Jin and the heavy remorse that came with that. He'd completely disregarded Hoseok for work and trying to make sure he didn't choke on the overpowering emotion he'd felt.

Yoongi: I promise you, Jung Hoseok, that you aren't my dirty little secret. If anything, I will shout your name and how much I fucking love you in this fucking store right now. Don't test me.

Yoongi: I've been so caught up in this shit with Jin and I'm being overworked by Jonghyun that I've stopped focusing on everything else. I'm sorry.

Hope: Do it. Shout my name. Film it for me

Hope: That sounded dirty. Anyway. Do it !

Hope: Also, why are you in a store??? Shouldn't you be at work??????

Yoongi: I'm taking Jungkook tux shopping for his dance tomorrow.

Hope: Aw cute. Send me photos !

Hope: Now back to the issue at hand, film yourself announcing how much you love me. Right now. Make it up to me, fucker ;)

Yoongi: Let me get Tae to film it.

Yoongi looked around the store, trying to spot one of his roommates. Thankfully, they were over near the dressing rooms. Well, Tae was. He was leaning against the wall, looking at his phone. Jungkook was nowhere to be seen and Yoongi could only guess that he was trying something on. Marching over, Yoongi opened his camera. Tae glanced up at Yoongi approached him. He grinned.

'Hey you finally joined us.' He teased. Yoongi rolled his eyes as his phone buzzed.

Hope: Hurry up. IF you don't do it in the next 5 minutes I'm blocking you and our friendship is over.

Hope: I'm kidding but seriously im getting impatient rn.

'I need you to film something for me.' Yoongi said, handing Tae his phone. Tae took the phone quizzically, frowning in confusion at Yoongi who let out a big sigh.

'Why?' Tae asked. He turned the camera around and despite it not recording, started making faces at the camera. Yoongi couldn't stop the giggles that came out of his mouth.

'It's for Hoseok.' At that, Tae raised an eyebrow and Yoongi shook his head, praying that Tae didn't do anything embarrassing. Well, anything more embarrassing.

'Okay.' Tae replied just as Jungkook came out of the dressing room in normal clothes, a suit hanging over his arm. He raised an eyebrow at them and Yoongi sighed.

'When I tell you to, press record. Hold up.' He took the phone from Tae and opened Hope's contact.

Yoongi: I can't believe I agreed to this. There's actually quite a few people here.

There was. Group of teenage girls were looking at dresses, a mother and her toddler were looking at shoes and a there were a few people just browsing the store. Combined with the staff behind the counter, there were way too many people.

Hope: You need to make it up to me.

Hope: Tick tock, tick tock...

Yoongi handed his phone back to Tae who smirked.

'When I say okay, make sure it's okay recording me and not your weird fucking face.' Yoongi snapped but it didn't even effect Tae. He just nodded and Jungkook took the phone, his suit no longer on him. He must've returned it without me noticing.

'When can I press it?' Jeon asked, flipping the camera around so it was facing Yoongi.

'Now.' Yoongi mumbled. Jungkook pressed the record button and Yoongi smiled his gummy smile. I hate you Hoseok.

'I can't fucking believe you dared me to do this but anyway,' Yoongi took a deep breath. 'I fucking love Jung Hoseok so much and he means the world to me! I never meant to be an ignorant dick to him and I'm sorry!' Yoongi shouted at the top of his lungs. His faced heated up very quickly when

he realised everyone in the store was looking at him. Jungkook broke into a fit of laughter, turning the camera to Tae who was bent over, struggling to breath. Jungkook then recorded the whole store looking at the three of them before finally turning the camera into selfie mode and recording himself laughing for two seconds.

'Give me my fucking phone.' Yoongi grabbed his phone and stopped recording.

Yoongi: I fucking hate you. The whole store is looking at me.

Yoongi: video attached.

Yoongi buried his face in his hands as Jungkook and Tae kept laughing, leaning on each other for support.

'That was the funniest fucking thing I've ever seen oh my god. Send that to me.' Jungkook managed to get out between his laughing fit and Yoongi noticed one of the employees giggling. She was staring at them with an amused expression.

Hope: Holy fucking shit I can't breathe properly.

Hope: My stomach hurts and I can't stop laughing.

Hope: I didn't think you'd actually do it.

Yoongi: Fuck the lot of you. I hate all three of you.

Hope: Your roommates are the best.

Hope: Thank you tho. That made me feel better. I'm not sad anymore.

Yoongi froze up and he reread Hoseok's message again. What does he mean he's not sad? Why was he sad?

Yoongi: Why are you sad? Talk to me, please.

'Alright jokes over. Pick your fucking suit so we can get out of here.' Yoongi mumbled, taking a seat on the floor, now pissy that Hoseok had ignored him. He leaned back against the wall, legs out in front of him.

'I still haven't got one.' Jungkook then dashed off again, looking for another one to try on. Taehyung took a seat beside Yoongi, watching his boyfriend with such a look of adoration that it made Yoongi want to gag.

'Who is Hoseok?' Tae asked quietly. Yoongi shrugged.

'He's the guy I was skyping the other night. The one you so rudely interrupted by the way.' Yoongi said with a pointed look at the younger boy. He shrugged, fiddling with a loose thread on his jeans.

'No I mean who is he to you?'

'He's my best friend, Tae. Why does it matter?' Yoongi was confused as to why his roommate was suddenly bringing up Hoseok.

'Is he the reason you declined Jin?' Taehyung asked, watching Jungkook who grabbed another suit before dashing into the change rooms but not before shooting a smile at the two on the floor.

'I can't answer that.' Yoongi mumbled, feeling uncomfortable. Despite it being quite cold in the shop, Yoongi's skin felt flushed and he felt hot and icky.

'So he is the reason.' And Tae didn't know how to feel. Hoseok was the reason Jin was no longer at home. He was the reason there was a huge wedge right between all of them.

'Yes. I like him. Jin's my best friend. He'll never be more than that. Hoseok is also my best friend but I really fucking like him.' Yoongi answered and Tae just nodded, dropping the subject. A weird silence fell over them. It wasn't awkward or uncomfortable exactly just really odd.

'Why didn't you tell me you got fired?' Yoongi asked quietly and Tae sighed just as Jungkook stepped out of the dressing room, staring at himself. Immediately, Tae stood, hands clasped over his mouth as he slowly made his way over to his boyfriend. Damn it Jeon.

Nervously, Jungkook fiddled with the cuffs of his sleeves while smiling slightly. He was wearing a nice plain white suit jacket with a black border on the front. The jacket was left open and sat comfortably on his shoulders. The matching white button up underneath was revealed and tucked into a pair of neatly pressed trousers, which made Jungkook's legs look exceedingly lovely, Yoongi had to admit that. A black tie hung undone around his neck, draping down his chest and sitting just above his belly button.

'How does it look?' He asked and Tae gripped Jungkook's shoulders before leaning in and whispered something in his ear. Yoongi had no idea what he said but by the way Jungkook was blushing and shifting uncomfortably, Yoongi was sure that he didn't want to know what was exchanged.

'You look good, Jungkook. It's pretty and it suits you so well.' Yoongi said honestly and Tae just stared with his mouth open, looking his boyfriend up and down.

'I love it.' He whispered, not taking his eyes away from Jungkook. He slowly licked his lips and Jungkook bit his own. At that moment, Yoongi decided he'd had enough wallowing in his own, single and jealous pity party.

'Okay please go and get changed before Taehyung here decides to fuck you because I can feel the fucking sexual tension.' Yoongi interrupted their staring competition and Jungkook retreated back into the changing room. Tae gulped and both of them waited.

'You need a suit as well.' Yoongi spoke up.

'I know. I've got one.' Tae answered. His tone was curt and Yoongi knew he was angry. Jungkook again stepped out of the dressing room, the tux slung over his arm.

'Is that your final decision?' Yoongi asked and Jeon nodded, linking his hand with Tae who grinned. Yoongi took the suit from Jungkook and went up to the counter. He kept running his hand over the material, loving how soft it was.

The lady who was laughing at him before shot him a smirk and Yoongi felt a blush creeping up his neck. Damn Hoseok and how fucking extra he actually is. He handed the lady his card and paid for the tux. Once it was packed into the bag, Jungkook whizzed past, taking it from her before Yoongi could blink. The next thing both of them knew, the high schooler was standing outside the shop, giggling like a child. The lady behind the counter blinked a couple times before she broke out in a fit of giggles. Tae ran past, almost knocking one of the children in the store over.

'Oh my god I'm so sorry!' Tae exclaimed, crouching down and making sure the child was okay before jumping up again and running to Jungkook.

'I'm so sorry for them and for my earlier actions.' Yoongi apologised and the lady just smiled.

'It's okay. It's the best thing that's happened all day.' She said and Yoongi nodded, feeling a little bit awkward.

'Have a good day then.' He mumbled before walking out the store. Once he was behind the two gremlins, he smacked them both upside the head.

'Hey what was that for?' Jungkook whined, rubbing his sore head.

'I didn't realise my roommates were a bunch of two year old kids who didn't know how to behave in a fucking store!' Yoongi hissed. I'm acting like Jin oh my god. Has he really rubbed off on me that much? Or is it just because I miss him.

'Asshole.' Jungkook mumbled.

'Can we get food? I'm really hungry.' Tae whined, pointing at the food court sign hanging above them.

'Yeah okay. Then we've got to go since I've got work.' Yoongi followed behind the two of them as they ran for the food courts. Yoongi just sighed. I have two children in my apartment. I didn't ask for this.

Both of the children were stopped right outside an ice-cream shop, peering in. Their hands and faces were pressed against the glass, mouths half open in awe at the long counter filled with many different flavours on ice-cream. Yoongi paused behind them, hands on his hips.

'Can we get ice cream?' Tae asked, pointing at the door. Yoongi looked up at the sky and counted to three.

'I swear to god it's like raising kids I didn't ask for,' he mumbled before waving them inside. 'Sure. Okay. But promise me you'll have some left over dinner for lunch.' Yoongi entered the shop, jumping as a little bell went off. Looking up, he tried to find the source of sound, eyes narrowed shut. Fucking fight me.

'Oh hello!' A voice behind him made Yoongi turn around. A boy with purple hair and a little white cap on his head stood behind the counter, a dishrag hanging from his apron. 'Welcome to Sunday Sundae.' The boy seemed to cringe at the words and Yoongi didn't blame him.

'Hello.' He took small steps, keeping his eye on the two kids marvelling over the ice-cream display. Deciding that they were occupied enough, Yoongi looked around.

It was a plain white with soft hues of blue and pinks scattered around either on

the walls or furniture. The counter was situated against the wall opposite the door, the wall behind it painted with scoops of multi-coloured ice-cream. It should've looked ugly but somehow, it worked.

Tables with up to four chairs were situated around the shop but left a straight line down from the door to the beginning of the counter. Pictures of ice-cream flavours were hung around the roo

m.

Yoongi stood in front of the counter, looking up at the board that held all the prices.

'Oi, you dorks. Come here and pick a special.' He told Tae and Jungkook who came running over, glancing above the Counter Boy's (as Yoongi had nicknamed him) head and at the special board.

'Can I get two scoops of cookie dough, please?' Jungkook asked and Yoongi nodded. Tae bit his lip, struggling to decide.

'Can I get one scoop of fairy floss and one scoop of mint chocolate?' Tae questioned, looking at Yoongi. Getting out his card, Yoongi turned to Counter Boy.

'I keep calling you Counter Boy can I please get your name?' Yoongi blurted and the boy started laughing.

'It's Namjoon. I'm sorry. I don't have a nametag yet.' Namjoon, as Yoongi now knew, answered and he kept grinning and shaking his head. 'So, what can I get you guys?'

'Can I please order one cone with two scoops of cookie dough ice-cream, one regular cup with a scoop of fairy floss and chocolate mint? Also a single scoop of plain vanilla.' Yoongi ordered and Namjoon nodded, putting it into the register. Once he was done, Yoongi handed Namjoon his card, paying for it.

'Okay just wait here while I go and get the ice-cream.' Namjoon mumbled, grabbing an ice-cream spoon. Yoongi took a seat at the closest table and the other two followed him. Jungkook's eyes scanned the room and they lit up suddenly. Turning in the direction of Jungkook's gaze, he spotted a 'Help Wanted' sign taped to the wall.

'Go and sign up. Both of you. Tae, you need a fucking job and Jungkook, I expect you to get a job as soon as you graduate.' Yoongi mumbled and both of the children looked at each other before shooting out the chairs just as Namjoon returned with the ice-creams in hand. Yoongi stood and headed to the counter. He took his cone from Namjoon and the other two took their own as well.

'How do we apply for a job here?' Taehyung asked and Namjoon smiled.

'Just hand in a resume for me and that's basically it. But since you two are the only two who've expressed interest, I'll probably just hire you.' Namjoon admitted and Tae smiled.

'We'll be back tomorrow with a resume!' Jungkook exclaimed, his bunny smile breaking out on his face.

'Let's go. I've got to get back to work otherwise Jonghyun will have my ass.' Yoongi said, taking a bite of his cone.

'By Namjoon! See you tomorrow!' The excitement was evident in Tae's tone and Yoongi couldn't help but smile at how lively his face was. Jungkook grabbed Tae's hand and they dashed out the store again.

'Sorry. They're children. I shouldn't have given them ice-cream. It's really good by the way.' Yoongi rambled and Namjoon grinned.

'Thank you. Hope to see you tomorrow with them. Have a good day.' He waved to Yoongi. Yoongi waved back and left the store, finishing his ice-cream. He ran to catch up to the little gremlins that were way a head of him, giggling like children. I seriously hope I don't end up late to work. By the time he reached the two younger ones, they were already waiting at the bus stop and Tae was wiping his sticky hands on his boyfriend. Jungkook was complaining and bitching.

'What. It's not like it's the first time my hands have been sticky.' Tae retorted and Yoongi's eyes widened as he gagged.

'Please refrain.' He mumbled, blocking his ears. Tae rolled his eyes and began wiping his hands on Yoongi's shirt. Yoongi scrunched his nose up in pure disgust.

'There you go.' Taehyung said, satisfied. Yoongi glared at him. I'm going to kill you one day.
