Chapter 7: "I'll put you in some suitable clothes!"
I'm not going to do the school anymore unless there's something important, okay...?
Well actually I might.
What do you guys want?
And yes, I was going to do something when the zodiacs try and arrange of date of sorts between Galaxia and Mr. Kageyama, but then the whole assassin thing happened and it seemed to out of place. Should I still do that? It would be fun, I guess, but mostly I'm worried that it won't fit.
Actually, if I'm being honest I just did this chapter to satisfy my seething urge to come up with cool outfits for the zodiacs to wear. There isn't going to be a gala or anything in this one, so might as well, right?
NOTE: WHILE THE OUTFITS MENTIONED IN THIS CHAPTER WILL BE AMAZING, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND I HAVE NO EARTHLY IDEA IF IT'S ACTUALLY POSSIBLE TO MAKE ANY OF THEM. THANK YOU.

Nobody POV (this is starting to be my trademark beginning sentence, *preen* )
The zodiacs were once again back at Universe's house, in his 'library', after a relaxing morning of no school.
"I have another little treat for you~" Universe sang as he salsaed into the room.
"Didn't you say that you were going to let us train first?" the zodiacs asked in unison.
"Seriously, dude" Aries said. "It's almost like you're stalling."
Universe cringed. "Yes, well, I would love to get to that as well, but, well, you see, one of my staff members has actually broken my eardrums demanding to see you, so, I moved that back to... er, actually, I'm not sure. It depends on how long it takes."
This time some of the zodiacs perked up. "Really? What does this one do?" Libra asked keenly. "I mean, so far our meetings with your staff has been awesome."
"Speak for yourself, Kan so scares me," Leo shuddered.
Universe's eyes sparkled excitedly. "Today you'll be getting... new clothes!"
The zodiacs looked at him blankly. "Eh?"
"New clothes that also double as hidden weaponry and possible armor!" Universe amended.
All of the zodiacs perked up. "Okay, we're interested. Tell us more."
Universe beamed even wider and clapped his hands together like an excited little girl. "Oh, that's just amazing! Huotani, tell her to get her sketches ready."
Huotani nodded and walked out.
"So, back to the clothes. Neela's her name, and she's all over fashion. She's been bugging me to let her redress you since the day you arrived, and boy it's annoying."
Cancer looked down at her clothes. "What's wrong with our clothes?"
"Nothing, dear," Universe assured her. "Well, in my eyes. You're a bit underdressed compared to the things she comes up with. But don't take that to offense. When she's done with you you will look like absolute angels, trust me. Neela is a master at this particular department."
Huotani appeared at the door. "She says to bring them to the waiting room, sensei. Oh, and she wants three at a time to enter. By the... signs, I think."
Universe beamed. "Good!" (he also muttered under his breath, "why are all of my staff requesting that I come to them and not the other way around") He snapped his fingers and all of a sudden the zodiacs found themselves sitting in a posh white waiting room of sorts. "Fire signs, you're first, I'll assume."
The fire signs stood up. Scorpio caught Saggi's eye and flashed him a thumbs up.
"Okay, then!" Universe said cheerily. "Have fun! We expect you guys to look like models when you come back out. Actually, if I'm right she'll put you all in separate waiting rooms and when she's all the way done the rooms will automatically transport you to the throne room you all were in when I first met you all, so you won't be able to see each other's new looks until we're all there. Enjoy!"
-------------------------------------
Fire Signs
(I will NOT be posting pictures of whatever outfits Neela comes up because hello. They're obviously going to be so above me.)
The fire signs entered a very fashionable designer studio. Though it was hard to tell because the entire space was white. Floating around a desk were sketches and types of cloth hung around the place like they were waiting for something.
Waiting for them, apparently perched on a high stool, was...
A ten-year-old girl.
No kidding. She had warm brown skin and dark brown hair done in thousands of small braids that hung to her shoulders. Her eyes were ice blue, like tiny chips of ice. But the thing that caught their attention first was her dress.
Yes, her dress. Because she wasn't dressed in some normal outfit. No, of course not.
Neela was dressed for the occasion. She was wearing a frothy dress that appeared to be like fire, but upon their closer inspection were actually flowers twining together to form a dress that resembled fire. The bottom had cornflowers; melting into bright yellow marigolds; into orange California poppies; then finally, forming a high collar a bunch of red roses.
"Dang, girl, you're looking hot!" Leo whistled appreciatively. "Literally. That's one sweet dress you're rocking there."
Neela hopped down from the stool. "Obviously. Anyway, you probably already know me. I'm Neela."
The fire signs each said their names.
"A pleasure. Let's get to work." She snapped her fingers. "We'll start with Leo since from what I hear, your personality is rather easy to see."
A tape measure unrolled itself and darted around Leo, measuring him. Neela snapped again and two others started measuring Saggitarius and Aries. "Universe has also requested specific instructions for you," she told Saggitarius. "So don't fret."
Saggitarius visibly relaxed.
The sketches on the wall peeled off and started circling around the three. The tape measures returned to their places. The sketches changed around Leo, spinning faster and faster and then pressing onto his body. When the papers lifted themselves off, he was no longer dressed in a normal outfit... he was dressed in a blindingly bright golden suit, bow tie, pants, and shoes. Pinned to his breast pocket was a golden pin of a roaring lion.
Leo looked down at his new clothes. "Okay, you're officially my new favorite. These clothes are, like, made for me!"
"Of course they are," Neela replied smugly. "That's real gold over there, just touched with magic so that they don't weight, like, five thousand pounds. They'll keep you warm no matter the temperature and the pin also doubles a bomb."
"I can definitely see that Universe meant when he said that these clothes also doubled as hidden weapons," Aries said out of the corner of his mouth.
"Now for you two."
The sketches started circling the other two as well, and then clothing them as well. When they lifted away they were in completely new outfits like Leo.
Aries was wearing a bright red suit that darkened towards the middle. The ends of his outfit were actual, flickering fire and his cuffs resembled a ram's horns. "Your cuffs can work as boomerangs," Neela said. "Just flick your wrists, but please don't do that now. Also, the fire won't harm you, but it can set other things on fire."
Sagittarius was wearing (to his absolute relief) a knee-length frock made of patterned autumn leaves and a matching golden leaf crown. The edges of his dress appeared to be on fire, but weren't actually alight. "The leaves on your dress can come off and each are infused with sleeping gas," Neela said. "Just put them near an enemy and boom, instant sleep. It works especially efficiently when held to the nose."
The fire signs took a moment to admire their new clothes. "Universe wasn't kidding, huh?"
"He's never kidding when it comes to my talents," Neela said dismissively. "Wait in your waiting room. Next, please!"
Earth Signs
(These will be kinda short, but I hope you enjoy whatever outfit I come up with! I had a lot of fun describing them, because after all designing and writing are two of my prime elements. ^-^)
When the earth signs entered, Neela was dressed in a new outfit. This time she was wearing a glossy white blazer, white pants, and a delicate choker of vines.
"I like your outfit," Virgo complimented her immediately.
"Yes, well, thanks," Neela replied. "It's my spring ensemble."
"Spring ensemble? Don't you need flowers or something?" Capricorn asked curiously.
Neela wrinkled her nose. "Do you know how many people do that? I focus on individuality here, so obviously if I wear flowers like everyone else that purpose is destroyed."
"I guess that makes sense," Taurus said, casting a look over at Capricorn that said, Don't make her angry!, because while she was only ten years old, he knew far too well that even young people could be scary as hell.
"Exactly. Now, back to the formalities. I'm Neela, and I already you who you are," she said. "I'll put you in some suitable clothes!"
Sne snapped her fingers and the tape measures started measuring. "Every piece that I make is tailor-made to fit each person that come to me. And I don't just do random people, either."
The sketches surrounded Capricorn first. When they came away she was dressed in a shimmery white dress that accentuated her form. Diamonds were sewn onto the dress to form her constellation. She looked down and twirled around. "Wow! I love it!"
"When you twirl around quickly the diamonds can come off and grow into large rocks or etc to trap enemies," Neela said. Capricorn beamed and thanked her profusely.
Next was Virgo. When they finished circling her she ended up in no-straps dress that was ombre light green to dark green that went all the way to the ground. The sleeves were made of vines, as were parts of the dress. "The vines don't even scratch me," she said in amazement.
"The vines can lengthen into a nearly unbreakable rope or be used as a lasso, etc." Neela explained. "And yes, magic is useful in that way."
She turned her attention to Taurus. "Now for Taurus. I'm guessing there's a reason why my sketches are taking their time with you."
After a few more minutes, they came away. Taurus was wearing an open black jacket, a white blouse with two buttons unbuttoned, and a loose bow tie. A crown of dark red roses circled his head and matching roses were curled around his crutch to match.
"Interesting," Neela mused. "Looks like you're a bit conflicted, aren't you?"
"I won't ask you what that means," Taurus said.
"Well, anyway. When you pluck off one of the roses and throw it it'll instantly grow and trap whoever you throw it at. And nearly impossible to break out of. Maximum capacity of people it can trap is about five. To the waiting room, now! NEXT!"
Air Signs
"You're going to give us separate outfits, right?" Gem and Mini demanded as soon as the air signs entered.
Neela waved a dismissive hand. "Of course I am." She was once again in a completely new outfit. It was like she had prepared different outfits for the different signs. This time she was wearing clothes that seemed to wrap around her in layers and layers and glowed purple. There was a matching hair wrap holding back her braids. "I'm Neela." She frowned slightly. "Since there are four of you, I'll get right to it, starting with Libra, since I think she's pretty easy to do."
The sketches surrounded her and sure enough, came away pretty easily. Libra was now wearing a dress that seemed a bit plain compared to the others, but fitted her perfectly. One side of the dress was white, the other black, and there are scales in the middle of the dress. One scale was black on the white side, and the other was white on the black side. Her hair was brushed and pulled back from her face into a low ponytail by scale hairpins.
"A lawyer indeed," Neela mused. "Thought so." Libra looked delighted. "This," she proclaimed, "Is what I am going to wear when I become a known and famous lawyer."
"When you touch the white side of the scales it will blind your enemies temporarily. When you touch the black side it will cloud their vision with darkness also temporarily," Neela said.
The twins were next. When the sketches came off from them they truly did look like two peas in a pod.
Mini was wearing a long, cascading violet dress that faded into a dramatic train made of wisps of air. She was wearing a delicate amethyst drop necklace and matching drop earrings.
Gem was matching his sister in a deeper amethyst-colored suit. The tails were made of wisps of air like Mini's train and on the end of his tie there was a large amethyst embedded there.
They looked down at their clothes, then at each other. At the exact same time, they exclaimed, "This. Is. Awesome!!!"
"You're welcome," Neela said smugly. "Matching but with your own touches of individuality. Mini, your train can whip up a storm, and your drop necklace can also work as a teleportation device." She addressed Gem. "And the jewel on your tie can work as a bomb or a sleeping gas bomb, both work and won't harm your friends."
She turned to Aquarius, who was still clothed in sketches. "You're last. Let's see what you'll come up with."
The sketches hummed for a minute, then came away. Aquarius was now wearing a suit that appeared to be made of running water from a distance, and the edges of everything were dotted with stars, large and small. "Oh..."
"Those stars can come off. Just flick your wrists and they'll come off in a golden powder, which will then display your enemies' worst nightmare or fear in front of them temporarily," Neela said.
Aquarius touched his stars. He was pretty sure where the inspiration for that particular weapon had come from. "Thank you."
"It's my job. NEXT!"
Water Signs
"I love your outfit," Cancer and Pisces said earnestly as soon as the water signs stepped in.
For the water signs, Neela was wearing another new outfit. Her long sleeves dripped water, and the dress ended in water but evaporated as it reached her knees. A twisting crown of blue flowers with delicate water droplets on them crowned her head. "I appreciate it. We've already been through nine other people, so I'm a bit worn down, but you're last, so I decided to wear this outfit. We'll start with you, Scorpio."
He scowled at her and she winked, as if she knew he didn't want to go first and did that on purpose. But when he saw his new clothes he looked pretty impressed. Scorpio was now wearing a fitted deep-red suit, tie, pants that had a ruby-embedded pattern of scorpions crawling across it. The tails of his suit were made to resemble scorpion stingers. "Okay, I'm actually kinda impressed," he admitted.
"The tails of your suit can harden and actually produce venom," Neela said. "And the poison won't harm any of your friends either."
The sketches surrounded Pisces and Cancer at the same time and came off at the same time. They were also fabulously dressed as well.
Cancer's skirt exploded out from her bodice, and it had a subtle pattern of crabs crawling over it. Her sleeves were light peach and slightly see-through. The bodice was slightly darker with a heart-shaped dip, and the skirt was a darker bright red color. "Your sleeves can lengthen and used to tied up enemies or knock them off their feet," Neela said. Cancer twirled around. "I love it!" Her hair was half up, secured with a ruby crab pin and her curls tumbling back down to her shoulders.
Pisces was wearing a fishtail dress. The fishtail part was replaced by jagged, sparkling icicles-in fact, her entire dress was crafted out of shimmering ice, except the top was made of closely-packed snowflakes. Carved into the ice were faint fish patterns swimming up and down her body. "It's not even cold!" she exclaimed in amazement. "The icicles on the end can detach be used as weapons or if thrown can stop an enemy," Neela said.
"Thank you so much," the two girls said, bowing. Scorpio nodded politely to her.
"I'll just transport you guys immediately to the throne room," Neela said. "We'll see each other quite soon."
--------------------------------
In the throne room...
Well, you can probably imagine the beautiful procession they made.
"Neela is a genius," Leo announced, speaking for everybody.
Universe beamed. "Told ya so!"
Aquarius caught Taurus staring and smiled wryly. "What?"
Taurus looked away quickly, flushing a little. "N-nothing, you look... good, that's all."
"Oh, come on, it's because you've never seen me dressed fancily, right?"
"Well, yes, also that," Taurus admitted.
On the other side of the room, Scorpio and Sagittarius were having their own awkward conversation.
"So, um... I guess, I should say, I like your new look?" Scorpio tried.
Sagittarius nodded. "Yeah..."
Thankfully, Mini jumped in. "Oh-kay, I'll just cut that totally awkward conversation short..."
Universe clapped his hands and all of a sudden the zodiacs found themselves standing in front of their thrones (in order) "These clothes will disappear the moment you step outside my house," he said. "But they will reappear when you come again. Magic is handy that way." he paused to look fondly over all of them. "Look at you all, looking so grown-up and mature... it just makes my heart feel so warm...!" He wiped away a few tears, then brightened. "But tomorrow, you have school again, so don't forget that!"
"UNIVERSEEEEE!"

There! Done! What do you think?
I personally really enjoyed doing this chapter and I hope you liked whatever outfits I came up with! :)
You can comment on which outfit was your favorite.
With love,
