In the dark,

Waiting for a sign.

From God, from anyone,

Telling her she's okay.

I receive a text,

In the middle of the night.

Sat, shaking with fright,

"What's happening to me?"

"It'll be okay." 

I try and remain calm.

Amid the raging storm,

As scared as her.

"I'm worthless!" She cried,

But there's nothing I can do.

She's feeling so blue,

"You're full of worth." I said

"You're amazing, you'll get through it." 

I can't tell if it's working.

No reply, I have to wait till morning,

"I'm okay." Comes calming reply. 

"I'm okay." And I finally breathe again.
