Flashback

Ervin's POV
A hand reached out to throw away the alarm clock's nonstop ringing. Covering his head with a pillow and mumbling out an answer from the calls outside his room, he closed his eyes trying to go back to sleep.
"Ervin, honey wake up! You'll gonna be late for school. Your dad's already running late for his meeting. So he left and can't wait for you. He said you can use your car again only if you promise not to get caught over speeding again." His mom loudly call out.
He stand up and went straight to the bathroom to prepare. Once done, he went downstairs to eat breakfast. But since he's running late already, he grabbed a couple of sandwiches and run out of the house after getting his car keys.

"Yo, ma man wazzup", sez Louis my loudmouth friend. The guys are waiting for me. My friends consists of five rich kids. Louis, son of oil magnate. Andrei, the heir for chain of malls conglomerate. Kristian, the youngest son of Lee corporation owner of one of the best well known cellphone company in the country. Devon, eldest son of Manchester Inc. The owner of the biggest construction company in England and here in the Philippines. And of course me. I'm the youngest son of Ervin Dave Cole. The owner of the largest architectural conglomerate all over the world. My dad is one of those businessmen who loves his employees and cares for their welfare, one reason why he is successful in his line of business.

"Have you heard about the newly hired instructor? They said she's a beauty." Devon loudly say with a couple of smirk on his face. I heard the guys snickering behind my back.
"Bet you guys, I can make her fall for me within a week" Andrei, our resident playboy boastfully said.
There they go again, making bets over newly hired female teachers resulting either with the teachers resigning with a broken heart or getting kicked out of the university.
" Hey! How about we let Ervin do it." Louis, the loud mouth said pointing at me.
"What the f***!!! Why drag me into your shit!!!" I answered incredulously shaking my head.
"Why? Are you scared? Or are you losing your touch with women?!!!" they said in chorus.
And that's why I accepted the challenge. I won't let them trample on my ego. I wonder what this new teacher look like?

End of flashback

"Sir, here are the files sent for you from the PI you hired." My assistant hand me an envelope and dismissed him. I opened the files and read the reports. Not much can be read. Just a quick glance and I can see that there's not much in it. The pictures that comes with the reports are the only ones that catches my interest. She still looks the same. Her eyes, twinkling with happiness looking at the camera. It's like the one holding the camera makes her smile as if she's in love. Her pert nose, heart shaped face. Pinkish red lips. There are lots of photos. Some showing her laughing, playing with kids in the park. Jogging, showing off that lovely curves. But one photo made me look at it more than once. She was sitting on a beach looking out to sea. Her eyes look sad yet smiling while looking at a young boy playing a bit far away from her. The scene is melancholic. I wonder what's on her mind back then. Is she thinking of me? Or did she ever? Had she forgiven me? I still miss her.
