Aireen's POV

The kiss almost muddled her brain and turned her body to jelly. But when she heard his words...pain strikes her like thunder.

He needed that??? What??? So this is how he still thinks of her. An object of desire. A body to quench his lust. Someone he can just have sex with.

She didn't even know what came over her. All the anger. The hate. And the pain, came rushing into her system making her left hand move on its own, raising up towards the man's face to give a cracking sound of a slap. Her eyes glaring and smothering with heat. She shove him away from her body with a strength she didn't she have. Her palm going up her lips and rubbing it vigorously, trying to erase the after taste of his lips from it. Tears are starting to come down her face again, but this time not of pity for the man who lost 6 years of his chances to know his son, but for pure hate. How dare he!!!

"Don't. Just don't touch me again. And please let's just talk about our son." her voice trembling as she raise her hand to stop Ervin from stepping towards her again.

She moved farther from him, hugging herself to hide the pain she felt.

Ervin's eyes shows the confusion and shock. He touches his face that is warm and feeling the hot sensation of Aireen's slap. When he was about to reach for her again, her voice hitched as if fighting herself to cry. He didn't know what to do or say. So when she said that they just talk about their son, he accepted and motioned for her to sit down going to the farthest couch and avoiding eye contact.

" May I ask why'd you kept our son's existence from me? I just want to know why?" he softly speak facing her and trying to make her look at him. He saw simmering anger in her eyes, not even aware of what he said oblivious of the pain he unknowingly inflicted on the woman sitting a few feet away.

" I was planning on telling you about my pregnancy the day that horrid video came out. I tried calling you but your phone is out of coverage area. I didn't know who made that awful and untruthful video. But because of it my mom kicked me out of the house that very same night, I went to the park where we used to go, hoping I'd find you there and console me. " tears ran unheeded through Aireen's eyes, her hands trembling and her pain evident in her voice.

" That's when I saw you with your friends, laughing and making fun of my predicament. It broke my heart Ervin. You hurt me in a million ways. I've loved you and only you. I know it's wrong for me to even think of getting into a relationship with you. And I did fought battles within me. But loving you is the only thing my heart wants during that time... But what you did to me, killed me inside." Aireen beat her chest forcefully, inflicting pain so she'd feel less the hurt. " I wanted to die that night...I'm not the strong woman I thought I was. I wanted to take my life and our unborn child so we both won't hurt anymore. I hate you!!! I hate you so much!!!"
Aireen is shouting now, not even caring if she woke her son up. All she want is to let out all these excruciating pain that bottled up insider for the longest time. She knelt down the floor and cried sorrowfully. Tears unkempt.

The sight of Aireen crying is too much for Ervin to endure. He can't imagine what hardship she had gone through, but hearing her say that she wanted to end her life, caused his heart to pump blood into his brain and felt the burning tears to flow out of his eyes. He couldn't care less if she pushed him or slap him or whatever she wanted to do to him. But he needs to make her feel how truly sorry he is.
He took a step towards her, hugging tight her trembling body as her crying kept agonisingly going.

"Shush, I'm here. I'm here now. Please Aireen, hear me out. Let me explain, please...I loved you too. I love you still so much. And I'm so so very sorry for the pain I've caused you and for the hardship you went through because of my stupidity. But please, sweetie, hear me out. Please. " Ervin's tears flowed freely through his cheeks...holding Aireen's face in between his palms and kissing her forehead. He hugged her tight again though she put up a struggle. They stayed like that on the floor for quite some time. Both crying. Ervin absorbing all Aireen's pain and mumbling incoherent words to console her. As now tears subsided, he hugged her still and start explaining.

Flashback

Ervin was splitting mad. He wanted desperately to punch Andrei right on his ugly fucking face. He thought his friend would deny the truth about the fake video uploaded on YouTube last night. But he was so even proud of his so called ingenuity, boasting how good the edit was that only Aireen's blurd face is a little visible and not his.

They all met at the park that night. He called all of them to talk some sense into them and tell them to take down the video but to no avail.

It's been raining since this morning. When he and Aireen were called in the office by the director of the school administrators, he hasn't a clue of what is it about. When he arrived at the office Aireen wasn't there anymore and his father were the only one left together with director Mrs. Simmons. She asked him a lot of questions and even showed him the video of their supposed clandestine affair inside the school premises. He vehemently denied it, but not their relationship. His father only listened to their heated exchange. The woman is actually a hypocritical bitch who acts innocent and morally righteous ( yet he he knows otherwise the opposite) itching to fire Aireen trying to find even the slightest fault so she can have the reason to. She's been so jealous of Aireen for stealing her limelight because she used to be popular with men in the campus, young and old. Now she found the right ammunition and is trying to urge his dad to file an administrative case against Aireen.

"I don't think it'll be necessary madame, as I've heard enough the explanation from my son's side and from the poor lady's side, I've come to the conclusion tha it is actually my son and his friends fault that this scandal happened. They played on the poor young woman's gullibility. Let's go and talk about this matter at home young man. You also need to apologise to Ms. Aireen for such despicable behavior." his dad said, rising up from the chair leaving the woman gawking unbelievably at his reasoning.

That time at the park, as we heartedly argued, Andrei played an old recording of my voice while talking about some chick  we made a bet three years ago. I punched his face then and gave him a warning to take out that video or I'll sue him for slander and anti cyber crime.

When I went to Aireen's house, her mother slammed the door on my face saying she doesn't have a slut of a daughter. I tried calling her phone but it was off. I never heard of her after that tragic night.

End of flashback

Silence filled the room. Their tears finally subsided as the truth unfolds. A case of miscommunication and misunderstanding had caused them to lose each other and wallow in sorrow.

What  will they do now to resolve this? Will there be a chance for them to be together and become a complete family again? Six years of hating the man she loves and not knowing the facts. Can she finally move forward and accept him again? Can she truly forgive and trust him again? Aireen thought to herself solemnly. She looked at his face and saw tears falling down his lovely eyes. Pain etched on his handsome features but his not afraid to show it. Along with the love shining through.

Now, it was her who made the first move towards his face to kiss his lips...

"Mommy, what are you doing?"
