(Here's the moment you've all been waiting for. Karla's performance. I won't say that I listened to this on repeat day in and day out, cause that would be a lie, but I did hear it on Youtube in one of my mixes and thought it was perfect to show how much she has changed between the beginning and now.)

"And now for a girl who has been through the ringer for the past few weeks. Please help me welcome to the stage in her first time singing in one year. Karla!" Buster introduces.

Said pup takes a breath, calming her nerves. "I'm gonna be alright now, Mom. I have more family here for me now." The entire crowd is quiet as she slowly hops up to the mic stand. The moment she reaches the mic, Eddie starts the music. As she looks into the crowd, she swears that she sees her mother in the front row. Blinking, she looks again but only sees another dog. She raises a paw to her chest to grab her charm.

The only thing that keeps me from diving off the deep end.

Memories of her times in the dark last year flash through her mind.

"Well, at first I thought I'd have to bear this weight by myself

Karla glances at Johnny, and smiles at him, letting him know that she is talking about him. He smiles back.

Allen walks through the doors of the theater to see his daughter singing with the same heart and soul as she did before. 'Look at our girl huh Sue. I guess you finally got to her.' Most of the teens in the audience pull out their phones, record Karla singing and upload it to Klip Klop. (Their version of Tik Tok)

Laying on her bed, in a different city, Julia scrolls through the same app. Suddenly a video of a familiar pup in a white dress pops up on her feed. (Sorry, I don't have Tik Tok, I don't know how it works)

"For a moment I thought maybe I was doing alright
So I took your love for granted and I left you behind"

"No way. DAD!" Julia screams, jumping off the bed, and rushing out the room.

"Julia, what is it?" Her father asks frantically.

"Just look." She holds out her phone for him to see for himself.

"And I just didn't understand, you kept me alive, mhm
You forgave me and you gave me hope
Still you're the only one who really knows"

"Well, I'll be. She finally broke." Leon says, happy that his sister gave up that promise.

"Can we go watch?" Julia asks.

"We won't make it in time but we'll visit later." Leon answers.

Back on stage, Karla remembers when she turned her back to Johnny in the hospital, instead of talking it out with him. Johnny looks down too, knowing that he should have just told her the truth.

Karla's mind goes back to last year, when she constantly wished that she was in her mother's position. She only got through each attack when she thought about the only one to visit her in the hospital.

Johnny hears the emotion in her voice, realizing just how much he helped her out between their meetings. He remembered the song she sung for the audition and how much she meant the lyrics she sung.

Karla wipes her tears away and looks out to the crowd. The audience is still quiet, aside for a familiar black and white dog clapping in the back. The girl on the stage uses her paw to block the overhead lights so she can see who is cheering for her. "Dad? Dad!" She goes to come down from the stage, but the audience members are already there to help her down. She heads for where she sees him, using the animal's outstretched arms to steady her. The animals make room for her and she finally sees Allen at the end of the pathway. "Daddy!" She hops into the awaiting arms of her father. The animals around them cheer out and clap for the family.

"You made your mom proud. You don't know how long both of us have wished you would get back into singing." He tells her.

"Thanks Dad. But it's not over yet. We still have one more song left." She pulls herself away from his arms but leads him to the front row. "You'll need to be right here for this." One of the animals in the front row helps her up to the stage again.
