You again? (40)
*Elsa's POV*
Rapunzel fell asleep around 1 o'clock. Everyone else went to the boys' room so they didn't have to worry about being loud. The only people in the room were Rapunzel, Eugene, and I. I was in the bathroom fixing myself up when I saw Eugene brush Rapunzel's hair out of her face. It was so cute that I just stood in the doorway and watched. After he finished, he kissed her on her forehead.
"You really like her don't you?" I asked leaning on the doorway.
"How much of that did you see?" He asked as he jumped away from Rapunzel.
"All of it and let me tell you, it was adorable!" I awed.
"Ya ya, just don't tell anyone. I don't want them to think I'm a big softy." Eugene chuckled. I walked to the door and noticed that Eugene wasn't following me.
"Eugene, aren't you coming?" I asked.
"I don't know why but I feel like something bad is going to happen." Eugene said as he looked at Rapunzel sleeping.
"Nothing will happen." I assured him.
"I hope so." Eugene said. He gave her one last kiss and walked over to the door and followed me to his room. We walked in and saw everyone just laying around.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked.
"We're bored!" Anna complained.
"Then go outside." Eugene said.
"No we want to do something fun." Kristoff said.
"Then play a game." I said.
"What kind of game?" Jack asked curiously.
"How about a board game?" I asked.
"It literally has the word bored in it!" Hiccup complained.
"So? Here I'll go find a good game back in the main room." Eugene offered as he walked out the door. I went over and sat on Jack's bed.
"He better come back with something fun." Merida scoffed.
"Hey, what makes you think you can sit on my bed?" Jack joked.
"Since I'm your girlfriend, we share everything." I said crossing my arms.
"Everything?" Jack asked with an evil look in his eye.
"What do you want?" I questioned.
"I want most of your time to be spent with yours truly." Jack said presenting himself.
"Who would want to spend time with you?" Kristoff chuckled.
"Everyone." Jack replied.
"I can name off lots people who don't want to spend time you." Kristoff said.
"Really? Name five." Jack declared.
"There's me, Anna, Hiccup, Merida, Eugene..." Kristoff named off as he counted them on his fingers.
"Okay okay, I get it. You guys are just jealous." Jacked joked.
"Yupp, that's the reason." Hiccup replied hanging his head off of his bed.
"What are you doing?" Merida asked.
"Being a bat." Hiccup replied.
"Why?" Merida questioned.
"Because I'm bored and I've always wondered what it felt like." Hiccup answered. Soon Eugene came through the door with tons of board games.
"Who wants to play a game?" Eugene asked.
"Me!" Anna yelled running over to Eugene.
"Wow calm down!" Eugene chuckled. He set them on a table and we all ran over to pick the best game. Hiccup, Merida, Jack, and I were about to start our game when I heard a clatter.
"Shush listen." I said putting my finger to my mouth.
"What? Is it your heart beating because you're scared you'll lose?" Jack joked.
"I'm serious be quiet!" I whispered putting my hand over his mouth. I didn't hear it again so I figured it was nothing.
"I don't hear anything." Kristoff said.
"It stopped." I replied. We all started getting into our games when we all decided to talk about our nights.
"I had a fun night actually. I thought it was going to be really boring." Hiccup said.
"It was fun winning our game, getting crowned king, and dancing with Rapunzel. But the best part was when Rapunzel was drunk." Eugene said.
"Why?" Anna laughed.
"Because she told you guys my secret for me." Eugene said moving his piece.
"Why didn't you tell us your secret earlier?" I asked.
"I never used it back home. It only really brought back bad memories. But Rapunzel made good memories. I was going to tell you guys eventually, but I just didn't know how." Eugene replied.
"What do you mean you didn't know how? You just tell us!" Merida yelled.
"I didn't know if you guys would get mad or see me as a different person." Eugene replied.
"Why would we would look at you differently?" Anna asked.
"I don't know." Eugene said looking at the game board.
"Well, now we know and life is great!" Hiccup chirped lightening the mood.
"Let's get back to our game!" Jack whined. We all continued our games until we heard another loud noise.
"Did you guys hear that?" Kristoff asked.
"Ya." Merida said listening intently. We heard lots of yelling and screaming. Jack leaned his ear against the wall.
"It's coming from the girls' room!" Jack exclaimed.
"Rapunzel!" Eugene whispered. His face went pale and his eyes wide. He got up fast and ran out the door. "Rapunzel, I'm coming!" Eugene yelled down the halls. We heard a thud and looked out the door. Eugene was laying on the ground stunned. "Elsa, did you lock the door?" Eugene asked looking paler.
"No." I said running over to try the handle.
"Let me try." Jack said. He turned but it wouldn't open. I looked over at Eugene and saw him fiddling with a Bobby pin.
"Eugene what are you doing?" Kristoff asked.
"This has to work." He said running over to the door. He stuck the Bobby pin in the keyhole but it didn't unlock it.
"The window!" Merida yelled. Eugene ran out the doors to go outside.
"Stay here!" Eugene yelled as he rounded the corner.
"Okay." I said.
"We can't let him go alone!" Jack reasoned.
"We'll stay here for another ten minutes." I told him. I hope everything's okay.
*Rapunzel's POV*
Eugene gave me an aspirin and told me that I should go to sleep. I remember him kissing my forehead and falling into a deep sleep. I woke up to the sound of a door slamming shut. I rolled over and figured it was one of my friends.
"Rapunzel, what are you still doing in bed?" They asked. I rolled over and opened my eyes.
"Mother?" I questioned surprised.
"Hello flower. I decided to drop by and check on you, but it seems that you're still in bed. Didn't I teach you that the chores are started at..." Mother started.
"I know, I know, 7 am." I interrupted.
"Then why are you still in bed?" Mother asked.
"Because I got sick last night." I replied.
"Then where are you friends? How about your boyfriend, the thief?" Mother asked.
"They are over at his room being quiet so they wouldn't wake me." I answered.
"Doesn't sound like real friends."
"But they are. When I was sick last night, Flynn helped me feel better."
"Rapunzel." Mother said sitting on my bed.
"Yes mother." I said.
"Would you sing for me? I had a long journey to get here and I'm feeling a little run down." Mother said rubbing her head.
"Of course mother." I grabbed my brush and handed it to her. My hair started to glow as I sang.
Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine,
Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine,
Heal what has been hurt, change the fates design,
Save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine,
What once was mine...
I looked over and saw my mother's appearance change before my eyes. She looked way younger than when she first come in. I started to feel sick.
"What's wrong Rapunzel?"
"Did you just use my hair to turn younger?" I asked.
"No flower I told you, I was feeling run down." She replied.
"I think it's time for you to go." I said shaking. I stood up and walked to the door. I tried to open it but saw it was locked.
"Rapunzel, you wouldn't send your mother away would you?" She asked.
"I would if it meant you were going to hurt me." I said leaning against the door.
"Why would you think that?" She asked, coming closer to me.
"I don't know. I'm sorry Mother."
"Rapunzel, if you can't handle yourself out here then you need to come home with me." Mother said grabbing my arm tightly.
"No!" I said pulling my arm back. I slammed it against the wall.
"Rapunzel, look in the mirror." She said, pointing to the mirror we had on the wall.
"Okay." I whispered.
"You're still a little sapling, just a sprout. You're sloppy, under dressed, immature, clumsy. They'll eat you up alive. You're gullible, naive, positively grubby, ditzy and a bit vague. Plus I believe, getting kinda chubby. I'm just saying this because I love you." Mother said. I looked at my self in the mirror. I looked at my chin and noticed I was getting a little bit chubbier. Maybe I am naive? Am I gullible too?
"Oh." I said looking at the ground.
"I love you very much dear."
"I love you more." I lied.
"I love you most." She said hugging me. She kissed me on my head. But when she kissed me, it didn't feel the same as Eugene's. When he kisses me, he always kisses my skin. It makes me feel loved. But my mother's kiss was on my hair. "So Rapunzel, I have made the decision to have you come home with me." She said holding my shoulders.
"What?" I questioned.
"That's right, I don't trust my flower out in the world with a thief and those horrible friends of yours." She replied going over to pack my stuff.
"No mother, I'm staying here!" I replied.
"No Rapunzel, I talked to your principal and he thinks it's for the best."
"No." I replied in shock, holding my hair. How could I lose everything I have?
"Yes." She looked around the room at my paintings. "Who drew these?"
"I did." I replied confidently.
"What is in the sky on yours?" She asked.
"The lanterns that appear every year on my birthday. I've always been too nervous to tell you about it. I've always wanted to go see them." I said looking at the ground.
"Well I wouldn't have taken you anyways." She spat as she packed my bags.
"Why? I've never disobeyed you, I never backsassed you. Why not?" I demanded.
"Because there are people out there who will use you for your powers." She yelled as she slammed my bag shut.
"That's not true! None of my friends use me for my powers!" I fired back.
"You showed them your powers?" Mother asked surprised.
"They're my friends, why would they use my powers?" I asked.
"Why wouldn't they? Rapunzel, do you know what you've done!?" She screamed.
"No?" I replied.
"You've show yourself to the world and let them have a free ride to an easy life! They aren't your friends, they are your parasites!" She yelled.
"Don't ever call them that!" I yelled back. I grabbed my bag from her hands and threw it against the wall, hoping they would hear.
"They are free loaders!" Mother screamed. I heard a thud against the door and Eugene yell my name.
"Have they been listening the whole time?" Mother asked.
"No. They heard us screaming." I replied.
"Rapunzel, when you come home from winter break, don't expect to come back for second semester." She replied.
"What?" I asked.
"Yes, I don't like you hanging around with free loaders who use you for your powers." She spat.
"Isn't that what your doing? You came here to turn younger and told me that I couldn't come back!" I yelled.
"That's not..." Mother started. Suddenly the window shattered. I looked and saw Eugene climb through the window.
"You again?" He asked. He pushed me behind him.
"I don't approve of you dating my daughter." Mother yelled.
"Well I don't approve of you breaking into her room." Eugene said. She walked over and punched Eugene in the nose. He fell to the floor. She kicked him in his stomach a couple times. I was so in shock that I couldn't move.
"Stay away from my daughter. Look what you've turned her into. She's rebellious and disobedient. You rotten thief! You've stolen my precious flower, and I want her back to normal by winter break. Comprende?" Mother spat. She kicked him another time.
"Comprendo." Eugene groaned. She ran out the window before I could stop her. Eugene got up and grabbed my shoulders. "Are you alright? Did she hurt you?" Eugene asked as he brushed the hair out of my face.
"I'm fine, but let me fix your nose." I said as I grabbed my hair.
"No Rapunzel, it's fine." Eugene lied. He held his nose to stop the bleeding.
"Eugene." I said looking sternly into his eyes. "Please." I begged.
"Okay." He replied in defeat. He sat down on my bed and showed me his nose. It must have been broken because it was crooked. I wrapped my hair around his nose. I sang my special song.
Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine,
Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine,
Heal what has been hurt, change the fates design,
Save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine,
What once was mine..
I looked at Eugene's nose and saw it was fixed. I walked over to the door and unlocked it. I saw all of our friends waiting outside.
"Hey guys." I replied.
"Rapunzel are you okay?" Elsa asked.
"Yeah, but we need a new window." I joked pointing over to shattered glass laying over the floor.
"As long as you're safe." Anna said.
