I am really sorry for the delay in posting. I had a hectic work week. I worked even on the weekend. And I didn't want to deliver small chapter. That's why this delay. Please don't mind.

Without any more delay, Let's get into today's story without any delay...

Ashni POV:

When Roshan said that, I knew he is trying to provoke me, to stay here, so that he can torture me more. You all must think I am stupid to stay here even after knowing this plans, right.

Actually I am staying here because I know I will be hurt, but still I will have my family and friends with me. I want to prove him that he can't break someone who has such a great family and friends set.

"Ashni, why did you say yes?" Anrag asked.

"Because I have you all with him. And I want to prove him wrong." I said.

He became silent understanding me. He nodded at me. We went to the interns room.

"So how did it go?" Icha asked.

"He provoked Ashni with one year agreement and that she is scared to spend more time with him." Anrag said.

"That idiot." Icha said.

"Icha calm down, it's okay. We are with Ashni, and we can support her and be with her. And show him that she is not alone and he can't hurt her anymore." Ahana said.

"You are right. Let's teach that heartless man a lesson." Icha said.

"What plans are cooking?" We heard Priyam saying this when he came in.

"How to destroy your friends attitude." Icha said. Ahana slapped Icha lightly for that. Priyam laughed off. Then he looked at me and became very soft. He sat next to me.

"Ashni, I swear I didn't know his intentions towards and that he planned this awful plan on your birthday. Trust me, I have never seen him this evil. He was really nice and empathetic guy. But somewhere after Aunty's death, he completely changed. But I never expected him to be this edgy. I am really sorry." Priyam said to me.

"I know Priyam, don't worry. I believe you. It's okay. It's over now. I will have to manage, and move on." I told holding his hand. He smiled at me.

"Okay Anrag, let's go. We will come back from tomorrow. " I said.

"Sure, bye guys." He said. And I wished everyone and left hospital for the day.

We reached home and gave the information to all.

"The guts of that bastard. Ashni tell me. I can get you out of that place in seconds." Dad said.

"It's okay dad. He thinks that he can break me. And I want to prove him wrong." I said.

"But Ashni, why? It might be mental pressure. He might put you into lot of work and everything." Mom said.

"It's true beta. We can't see you suffering like that." Nani said.

"It's okay ma. I know your concerns. But I can't let him win ma. He thinks that he won by taking revenge on us. He thinks that he is a legend now. I want to kill his attitude and make him realise that his revenge is stupid without any sense." I said.

"You are right. Ashni, we all are with you. Don't worry." Uncle said with smile.

"Okay, if you want to do this, do it. We will support you." Dad said.

I went and gave him a hug.

"Okay let's have dinner now. I am hungry" Nana said. We laughed and got up.

But Aunty suddenly came in with a cake.

"Since we couldn't celebrate peacefully yesterday because of that idiot. Let's celebrate today. He can't stop us from celebrating and being happy." She said.

"That's true. Thanks Aunty." I said and hugged her.

I cut the cake and everyone celebrated my birthday and had a lovely family dinner.

Roshan POV:

I was walking by to check on a patient. That's when I saw Priyam and Ashni in the interns room holding hands.

What the heck??? What the hell are they doing?

What am I thinking? I know that he looks at her as a sister. But in the first instance I felt so jealous. But why, I chose to hurt, why can't I stop loving her now.

Roshan stop it. Don't let her get me again. You have a mission. Don't forget that.

I immediately called Nia.

"Nia, from tomorrow we will be implementing our plan." I told her.

"Okay, I will come tomorrow." She said.

"Thanks" I said and disconnected the call.

She is such a sweet one. In this situation no one is with me, Priyam, Mayuri, everyone are against me and are not talking to me. Only she is with me, as a true friend.

The game begins now. Ashni, come come. I am waiting for you.

I waited for the next day and was excited in a way. Want to see how Ashni gets jealous but can't do anything.

The next day, I eagerly waited for Ashni to come for duty.

Dr. Lilly came in. She also knows what happened. From then she became too professional.

"Good morning Dr. Roshan. Here are the patient files." She said.

"Thank you." I said. She was about to leave.

"When Dr. Ashni comes. Tell her to come to my cabin with all the patients reports." I said. She just nodded at me and left.

After few minutes, I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." I said. Ashni walked in. To my surprise, today she looks so pleasant and beautiful. This is what I loved the most about her. She can drive anyone crazy with a simple look.

"Dr. Roshan, you asked me to report to you." She said.

"Yes, please sit and give me the files." I said. She sat down and gave me the files. She didn't even spare me a look.

But why is this all bothering me. I tried to just concentrate on the files, waiting for Nia to show up.

And in the mean while, I tried to find mistakes with her work, but got nothing. She is perfect at her work. Aghhh. I looked up at her. She is just looking everywhere else but me. As if she is ignoring me and doesn't care about existence.

Then Nia came in.

"Hello baby. Are you busy?" Nia said. Ashni immediately looked up and then looked away uncomfortably.

This is exactly what I wanted.

"Not at all. I am just working. Come sit baby." I said.

Ashni closed her eyes tightly when I called Nia baby.

"Okay. Hey Ashni, how have you been?" Nia asked her.

"Better ma'am." Ashni replied.

"Sir, I will come back later for the files." Ashni said and was about to get up.

"What if I have any suggestion or questions for each patient. Sit." I said.

She didn't say anything, just sat back.

"Baby, what plans for today?" Nia asked.

"Whatever you want baby. Anything. Just say it. I will get it done." I said.

"Great, then let's go to ****** restaurant for dinner and then long drive for an ice-cream." Nia said.

"Lovely, you have such a good branded taste. Otherwise, there are few people who love to eat in daba's, drink road side and sit on muddy mountains." I said looking at Ashni.

Ashni was really hurt and upset. And that created pain in my heart. Why Roshan? Why?

"Really? Who are those without a proper taste and ideas for dates?" Nia said and laughed sarcastically.

"Baby, also can I come back to your place tonight?" Nia said suddenly. I was shocked, as I also didn't except such improvisation in our act. She just winked at me.

"Sure, why not. It will be fun." I said. And Ashni is for sure on the urge of crying but controlled herself.

"Ashni, here take the files. You can continue the current procedures for patient 1 and patient 2, and discharge patient 3." I said.

She silently took the files and started to leave. But not before,

"Sir, there is nothing wrong in eating daba's, and drinking road side tea. Because they do their job with love and are definitely not money minded and heartless." She said and left.

I smiled at Nia, as I succeeded in my first plan.

Ashni POV:

It was out of line. They did it on purpose, to rub it in my face and to hurt me. But how can they make fun of my taste now. He always enjoyed my company, in all those places. Oh, how can I forget that he was acting to make me believe him and fall in love with him. How did I never noticed his side of this, how did I fall for such a person???

I had tears and tried my best not to let them affect me. But it's not easy. That's when I saw Priyam coming towards me. I wiped away my tears.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Just getting some fresh air." I lied.

"Ashni, you can be open with us. We are here to help you. Don't try to hide things from us." He said. With that I cried a bit and told him everything.

"That idiot is taking things too far. Please don't worry. We will also plan something to backfire him. Now don't let them get to you. You are a strong and sweet girl who deserve much better." He said.

I smiled.

"Thanks. You are right. I feel little better now." I said.

"Good. Get back to work, that will help you to forget everything." He said.

I smiled at him and left for my duty. I just hope and wish that I don't have to see them again today.

Priyam POV:

I was in the balcony only once Ashni left. Within a minute Ahana came there and I told her what happened.

"Oh god. I don't understand his problem. He already did enough damage to her. Why is he still trying to hurt more. Has he been this heartless from the beginning?" She asked.

"He is not the Roshan that I know. He is not my best friend Roshan, who never hurt anyone. But now we have to stop him." I said. She nodded agreeing to me.

Then suddenly my phone started to ring. It was Mayuri.

"Hello Mayu" I said.

"Did he apologize to Ashni and her family.?" Mayu asked.

She gave him a condition that she won't talk to him unless he apologizes to them.

"Far from apologizing, he is hurting her more." I said.

"What? Has he gone crazy?" She said.

"We have to stop him." She said.

"That's exactly what I said." I said.

"Are you with someone?" She asked.

"Ahhh... Yes Ahana is with me." I replied smiling.

"Wow. You guys are impossible. Put the phone on speaker." She said. I did so.

"Hi Ahana, how are you?" Mayu asked.

"I am good. How are you?" Ahana replied.

"I have been better. Thanks to my brother. " Mayu said.

"Ahana, I have an idea. But I would need your permission from you." Mayu said. I didn't understand.

"What is it?" Ahana asked.

"My brother is a big egoist. He is very possessive of everything that belongs to him. We have to make him jealous and have a taste of his own medicine." Mayu said.

"But Mayu, Roshan doesn't love her." Ahana said.

"No. We are missing some piece here. I don't think he faked his love from the beginning. Because whenever he spoke about Ashni to me, I could feel his happiness. He was genuinely happy with her and loved her. I don't know what happened that made him like this. For sure he didn't fake love for her from the beginning." Mayu explained.

"So you are saying that he really didn't know Ashni's parents from the beginning. And planned this revenge later." I said.

"Yes correct. I think he saw them during their anniversary party and then knew who she really was." Mayu said.

"Yes, it makes a lot of sense now." I said.

"That's true. He always cared for Ashni. Even I was shocked when he said that he faked everything." Ahana said.

"Yes, so I think we can make him jealous and realise his mistake also." Mayu said.

"Okay, but how to do that?" I asked.

"You have to do that." Mayu said. I was confused and even Ahana.

"What?" I asked.

"You have to make him jealous." Mayu said.

"Wait what? You mean I have to grow close to Ashni and make Roshan jealous?" I asked to confirm her thoughts.

"Yes" she screamed.

"No way. Ashni is like my sister. And more over I have someone with me now." I said the last thing in low voice.

"So, it's okay. Don't flirt or anything. Just be with her and crack jokes and she will smile and he will get jealous." To my surprise Ahana said this.

"Exactly, simple." Mayu said.

"Are you both mad?" I screamed.

"No. It's a great idea." Both of them screamed back at me.

I looked at the phone and Ahana.

"Are you really okay with this?" I asked Ahana.

"Ofcourse. You will be just spending time with her like a friend." She said.

I thought for a minute.

"Okay fine. But you will also be there with me." I told Ahana. She nodded at me with a smile.

"Yay, great. Priyam, can you change her reporting to you instead of my brother." Mayu said.

"Mayu, why?" I asked.

"Because that will be the first trigger for my brother." She said.

I said okay.

"Great. Love you people. Keep giving me updates. Bye." Mayu said and the line went dead.

"Don't worry. I know you will not do anything beyond required and I am not jealous or anything." Ahana said.

"So there is something between us?" I asked her.

She just smiled and said.

"You should know." And left from there.

Wow. This girl is driving me crazy without saying yes directly to me.

Anrag POV:

I finished my duty for the first half and went to canteen, to take a small break.

And I saw Icha there. I went and sat with her.

"Hey, how was your day?" Icha asked me.

"It was fine. How was yours?" I asked.

"It was okay. But I kept thinking on how to punch Dr. Roshan." She said.

I laughed at that. This girl is pretty crazy one. And I like that.

"It's okay. Don't let him get to you Icha. Ashni is handling the situation pretty well." I said.

"You guys don't understand. She is saying that she is okay to make us feel better and not worry about her. But frankly she is not okay at all." She said.

"That's true. I know. But she is being brave and trying to move on. We need to support that." I said.

"True." She said. Then we spoke a lot, I told her my childhood stories which mostly involved Ashni.

"You both are pretty close." She said.

"Yes, she is my best friend and never left my side throughout. And I will also not." I said.

"That's so sweet. I wish I had such a person in my life too." She said.

"You have. Now." I said looking at her. She smiled at me.

"What are your plans tonight?" She asked.

"Nothing. Why?" I asked her.

"Can we go out for dinner?" She asked.

"Sure." I said.

"Let's call Ashni also." She added.

"Thanks." I said.

I don't know where this is going on. But I really loved to spend time her. She is very sweet and strong as required. And I hope I will figure out my feelings for her soon.

Then Ashni came to the canteen.

"Ashni, how was your day?" I asked.

"Actually not bad. Roshan tried to make me jealous and hurt. But Priyam and Ahana spoke to me. Now I feel better." Ashni said.

"Great. Don't let him get you. Listen, we are planning for dinner. Come with us." Icha said.

"No. I will go and be with mom and dad. They are really worried about me." Ashni said.

"Oh then let's cancel the plan." I said.

"No no. Not at all. You both planned it. Go. Don't change because of me." Ashni said.

"Then how will you go home." I asked.

"It's okay. I am not a kid. I will manage." Ashni said.

"Are you sure.?" I asked.

"Yes. I ruined this weekend. Have some good time today." She said.

"Hey, it's not your fault." Icha said.

"I know. But still." Ashni said.

"Okay. Text me cab details and also call me once you reach." I said.

"Okay sir." Ashni said sarcastically, and we all laughed.

It's really good to see her getting back to normal herself.

Roshan POV:

After the morning incident, she tried to avoid me completely.

I tried to get her attention but of no use. It is of no use. She is either doing her duty or meeting her friends. Everyone is with her and she is happy and smiling.

What the hell??? All my efforts are doing down the drain.

Ahh... I have to do something. Before the end of the day, I have to give atleast one final stroke for the day to Ashni.

What to do? What to do? Readers, do you guys have any ideas. Oh shoot. I forgot that you all also hate me now.

Idea.

I went to my cabin and called Ashni to report for the day.

"May I come in sir?" She asked.

"Yes, come in." I said.

"You wanted to see me?" She asked.

"Yes, give me the progress reports of the patients." I said.

"I am not yet done. I few more reports to be done." She replied.

"If you had not wasted your time with your friends, you would have finished." I said.

"Sir, my duty time is not yet over. I will finish it before that and give you." She said.

"I do not have all day for you. I am taking my FIANCE for a date." I said and saw her face.

"Okay, fine. Give me 10 minutes. I will finish." She said.

"Do one thing. Give me the reports you finished. And sit here and finish the ones you didn't finish yet." I said.

She didn't say anything. She gave me few files and sat down to work on the rest.

I checked those files and started to watch Ashni and strikes a conversation.

"So how is everyone in your family?" I asked. She is definitely upset and tightly closed her eyes. Nice.

"They are fine." She said.

"Really? After everything that day?" I said. She looked at me with rage.

"Because we don't feel guilty for something we didn't do. And we don't punish others with or without any reason. We mind our own business, so we are in peace." She said.

"That's because you didn't have to go through what I did. You never had the pain I suffered." I said.

"And your mom said that we are cause of her sad life? And let's imagine that your dad loved my mom more. That's not my fault, not my mom's fault. If you are upset that your mom suffered without any of her fault, then how can you hurt someone else without their fault.???" She asked.

I didn't have answer for that.

"Always remember never to jump to conclusions without knowing the full truth. " She said.

I went silent at that.

"And also trust me. Your mom is definitely not happy or proud of you now, wherever she is." She said.

"You don't know my mom." I said

"Do you?" She asked.

When I didn't say anything, she got up and gave me the files and left my cabin saying

"I completed my work sir. Have a good time with your FIANCE." She said.

Was this shock treatment to her or me. Aghhhhhh.

Why can't I break her? Make her miserable? Why my plans are back firing?

With that I went out to leave for the day. When I went, I saw Ashni talking to Priyam. And they both left together.

What the heck is going between them?

I immediately got into my car and followed them. They both went to her favorite restaurant in town, where once I saw her with Anrag and the place where we confessed our love to each other.

Okay, so the day is not yet over. I called Nia to come here.

And kept waiting in the car for Nia to arrive. In 15 minutes she came.

"Thanks for coming. " I said.

"Anything for you." She said. Ha?

"I mean anything for my bestie." She said. I nodded at her.

"Okay let's go inside." I said and we walked inside and at entrance I took her hand and went inside.

Ashni was happly but she saw me, her smile faded.

That's the best start.

Ashni POV:

When he brought up my family, I knew he is trying to hurt me by saying things about my parents. So I gave him some piece of mind. And it's true, he doesn't know his mom and she would definitely not be proud of him now.

Then I finished my duty and went to interns room, to packup and leave.

"Hello Ahana." I said.

"Hey, done for the day?" She asked.

"Yes. And I am guessing that these two already left for their dinner." I said and she nodded packing her things.

"Hello girls. Shall we go for her dinner?" Priyam said coming in.

"I can't. I have to meet a cousin. Why don't you both go ahead." Ahana said.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes. I will meet you both tomorrow." She said and gave me a hug and left. Later Priyam and I also left and then went to my favourite restaurant.

"So how was your day? Did he trouble you again?" He asked me.

"He tried. But I didn't let him." I said.

"That's my girl." He said and laughed.

We started to talk about all our childhood stories. I told a lot about Anrag. Even though Roshan was a major part of Priyam's childhood, he still made sure not to bring it up. He is such a sweet person.

I started to laugh, with all the nice memories and stories. That's when I saw someone evil entering the restaurant with someone even more evil.

I saw Roshan coming inside with Nia, hand in hand. When my smile faded, Priyam looked back and saw them.

"What the hell are they doing here?" He said in rage.

"They are on a date. He was bragging about this." I said looking away.

"You should have told that they are coming here. We would have gone some where else." He said.

"They mentioned a different place. I didn't know that they were coming here." I said.

Why are you doing this Roshan??

Priyam POV:

I can't believe this guy. If he planned to go somewhere else, why did he come here? Did he know that we are here and thus came here to hurt Ashni with Nia??

That could be a possibility.

Now they both are acting so lovey dovey that I feel like throwing up.

I looked at Ashni, she is definitely going to cry. Without finishing the dinner, Ashni went out. I followed her immediately.

"Ashni, Ashni, wait..." I called her.

"Don't let him affect you. He is doing this on purpose. " I said.

"How can he go to this extent that he came to the same restaurant where he said 'I love you' to me and romance with this so called fiance. What did I do to deserve this?" She said.

"You don't deserve any of this. Don't worry. I will teach him a lesson. We have to give him taste of his own medicine." I said.

"And how do we do that?" She asked.

I explained her the plan by Mayu.

"No, that's not right Priyam. Ahana and you are a couple. It's not good." She said.

"Clam down, I will not cross any limits. We will not do anything that's like a couple." I said.

"Then why would he get jealous.?" She said in confusion.

"He is a very possessive man, he will get jealous easily. Trust me." I said.

"But do we really have to do this?" She asked.

She won't get convinced, so I called everyone and put them into conference and we all agreed that we should do this.

"Okay fine guys. Let's do this." She said.

"Great. We will start from tomorrow." I said.

"But I work under him. How can we make this work." She said.

"Don't worry. I will take care of that. I pull some strings and bring you under me. Leave it to me." I said.

"Okay, I hope it won't be a big scene later." She said.

"Don't worry. Nothing will happen." I said.

She nodded her head and I decided to drop her for the day.

"Ashni, don't worry. Don't overthink anything. And also don't take whatever happened today. We will show him tomorrow." I said.

"Thanks Priyam. Good night." She wished. I wished her back.

Then I called up someone I know in the higher management and spoke for a while.

Mr. Roshan, just wait and watch...
