I hear them alot from my family/classmates.

Personally i get called a

*Dyke

*Fag

*Carpet eater
(Probably the worst one in my opinion)

And other really good things.

Do I care if straight people say gay slurs?

Answer
Yes and no.
I don't care if my straight friends are calling me a dyke/fag, or even my trans guy friends. Because I myself reclaim the word and I do not expect people to stop saying something because they are afraid to hurt my feelings.

They are all caring and loving people. But we like to call each other names sometimes because we think it's kinda funny.

But if your using that word to hurt others or degrade them in anyway; you're just an asshole.

Yes we all have freedom of speech that's a great thing about American. But if you're being a cunt don't expect people, even straight cis people, to not call you out for being a cunt.

If you don like gay/trans people just be a decent person and not call them rude ass names.

Take one of my classmates for example.

He is very homophobic and transphobic. He likes "traditional" way of life.
But he doesn't call me rude names or be littles me because I'm a lesbian.

Take another one of my classmates for example.

He calls me the names listed above, Gets people to threaten me, spreads rumors that my a whore, and worst of all tells me to kill myself.

I would rather be friends with the first one rather than the second one, just saying.

So in the end know who your calling a dyke and make sure they are completely okay with it, or don't say.

Hell no!

Even if I had the p.o.cs permission to say it. I still wouldn't.

As I've stated before I'm completely white. So I don't have any place saying the word.

My friends don't say the word.
But ( most) of my family is a different story.

My dad's side of the family are completely racist and anti-lgbtq+

They say all the slurs with gross intent.
