Strength's: She's a mermaid, so she's a strong swimmer. She can breathe underwater. She can speak to sea animals. She can transform into a human.
Weaknesses: Her human form is a lot weaker than her mermaid form. She still has a humans weaknesses. Being out in the sun too long dries her out. She does get jealous really easily, especially of pretty people.
Relationships: She's friends with the Underwater royals.
Backstories: There's not much here. At least one female oc needs some happiness in her life. She grew up in the village and when the royals were younger, she would play with them. She doesn't have an interest in court life or anything like that.
Other: She really likes salty food and cooking. She's a citizen of the Underwater Kingdom. If she gives a human a special kelp, they can briefly transform too. Her spirit animal would probably be a dolphin

Personality: She's extremely stubborn. Since she doesn't realize what her family did is wrong, she believes they were attacked out of nowhere. She's a rule follower and does what she's told. She can be a bit cold towards humans, so pretty much everyone.
Strength's: her main form of weapon is a trident, her singing voice hypnotizes people, she can transform into a mermaid,
Weaknesses: she refuses help a lot, she's stubborn and a little arrogant, she's not as strong in her human form, water turns her into a mermaid
Relationships: Friendly with Griffin, had a flirtatious thing with Neirin.
Backstories: Jeanette came from a family of sirens. She never exactly realized what happened when they sang and how it was luring people to their death. Her family made an effort to make sure she would never find out. She did what she was told and she sang when she was required to sing. One day, pirates attacked her home and her family. Her father told her to escape, so she did. She was forced to go up to the human world and since then she's been trying to find a way to help her family out and get revenge.

Personality: He's a sweetheart. He's a lover, and not a fighter. He just wants friends, honestly.
Strengths: His spike things are venomous, he can transform into a human, and he's good at reading people.
Weaknesses: He's kind of a people pleaser, he doesn't have a lot of friends, and he's unfortunately clumsy.
Relationships: Open, and he's probably friends with Karina
Backstories: Kal really does have good intentions. His family told him to be careful with his tail because the spines on his tail are venomous to other people. When he was younger he would try playing with the other kids. When he accidentally pricked someone with his tail, which left them sick for days, he was a little ostracized from everyone else. Kal keeps to himself now, but he's always friendly when he meets people. He's more cautious now that his tail is more venomous now that he's older.

Personality: Karina can be a bit..prickly. It's not that she doesn't like people, it's just that she gets worn out from being around them too much. She's very independent, and will typically just end up doing things the way she wants.
Strengths: She has venomous spines to protect herself, she's self-reliant, and she can turn into a human.
Weaknesses: She's pretty tired in the day time compared to during night time, she doesn't do well in the cold, and she's kinda bitter.
Relationships: Open, and she's friends with Kal
Backstories: Karina never accidentally attacked anyone with her spines or anything like that. She just liked a dude, they ended up being a total prick, and so she used her spines against him. He spun the story around, but she doesn't really care. She's not ostracized or anything like that, but she just doesn't trust people all that much. Especially because that guy spread rumors about her and calls her "Crazy Karina."

Personality: He's shy, but is very nice once he gets to know people. He becomes more extroverted with time. He's more confident in his mermaid form than he is in his human form.
Strengths: They're a great dancer and they usually only dance with people they like, their injuries heal naturally (in mermaid form), and they have webbed hands in mermaid form.
Weaknesses: He doesn't have a lot of friends, their family is mega over-protective, and he doesn't do well in cold water.

Backstories: Avalon grew up in a well off family, and he learned how to dance from them. In his family, dancing is the best way to court someone. With everything going on in the kingdom, Avalon's family decided to move to where they're a little further away. They don't really let Avalon interact with a lot of people, so that's why he doesn't have a lot of friends.

Personality: Angel is really quiet in her human form. In her mermaid form, she's typically much bolder and a bit more confident. After everything that's happened though, she's pretty quiet in both forms.
Strengths: She has a lure and can briefly hypnotize someone, she glows in the dark, and she has sharp nails. She can transform into a human.
Weaknesses: She's a lot weaker after the circus, she swims slowly, and she doesn't trust any humans at all.
Relationships: Open, would probably know Adley and Esme.
Backstories: Angel grew up in deeper waters, and would spend most of her time there. As she got older, she'd venture out more. She eventually became brave enough to go to the surface and become her human form. She ended up getting captured by that group of traveling performers, and was advertised as some sort of sea monster. She was put in a glass cage, and it was full of water so she couldn't transform back. She escaped on her own during the Light Kingdom drama.

Personality: Malik is bold, and an adventurer at heart. He's friendly for the most part, but is also ultra competitive and possessive.
Strengths: He's great at hunting, he can become a human, and he's good with animals.
Weaknesses: Tends to think his way is the best way, puts himself into the line of danger too often, and he's stubborn.

Backstories: He used to be a guard, but just ended up finding that he didn't want to live that life anymore. He quit, and spends less time in the underwater kingdom. He mostly just travels wherever the ocean takes him, and makes sure that sea creatures aren't in trouble.

Personality: Ale is kind of a jerk. He's ambitious, a little manipulative, and pretty snarky. If he does care about you, then he'll be nicer, but not outwardly affectionate because he thinks that's lame.
Strengths: He's good at fighting, he doesn't have the best vision, and he's good at getting what he wants.
Weaknesses: He rushes into situations too fast, he has a short temper, and he's not reliable unless he thinks you deserve it.

Backstories: Alejandro came from a family with a lot of brothers, and he's the youngest. So he was always trying to get attention in some sort of way and be the best. He ended up becoming a guard, and while he's protective of the royal family, he's still very competitive.

Weaknesses: He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, he's actually pretty insecure, and he's horrible at flirting.

Backstories: Leo is a commoner, but he always hung out with richer people because his sister did. His sister is not as nice as him, but it's okay. He has his own little friend group that he typically spends his time with. He's always working on new jokes or pick up lines.

Strengths: Great dancer, she's good at making friends, and she's really intelligent.
Weaknesses: Her family is very overprotective, she'd do just about anything for food, and she's never transformed into a human so that form is weak.

Backstories: She comes from a well off family, but they're pretty strict about who she spends her time with and their expectations for her future. She sneaks off when she can, but it's not often. She enjoys dancing, and would want to be a dancer in the future.

Personality: Uma can be a bit closed off, or snappy. She doesn't like when people waste her time. She values her alone time, but she does kind of wish that she had more friends.
Strengths: She's great at multitasking, she's good with potions, and she is pretty good at figuring out people's intentions.
Weaknesses: Extremely clumsy and much slower in her human form, she low-key has commitment issues, and she's horrible with animals and children.

Backstories: Uma had realllllly cautious parents growing up. They weren't for the kingdom, and so she lived on the outskirts a lot. When she was older she ventured into the kingdom more. She didn't make a lot of friends or anything like that, and she does get some odd looks from people since she's not technically a mermaid. She opened her own potion/herb shop and she's content running it to earn money for herself and her family.

Personality: He's a fan of the finer things in life. He's extravagant, glamorous, and ambitious. They're not downright evil or anything like that, but they're not really that trustworthy.
Strengths: He's great at driving a bargain, he's good at manipulating people, and he has dark magic.
Weaknesses: He's vain and a little arrogant, he doesn't really care about other peoples feelings, and he'd rigid when it comes to planning. Also they have a weakness for shiny things and skincare.

Backstories: Azul is a sea witch. They drive bargains, and typically get people to promise things over in exchange for something else. He's gotten a pretty successful business from this and has become wealthier. They also have their own little trove of treasure that they're very protective of.

Personality: Safiya is intelligent, and alluring. She knows what best draws people in usually. She's friendly, but she does usually have her own motives behind things.
Strengths: She has a strong tail, she knows how to flirt well, and she's typically good at figuring out someones desires.
Weaknesses: She doesn't usually become friends with someone just because, she acts differently around her usual crowd vs actual friends, and she can be mildly insensitive.

Backstories: Safiya is from a more notable, wealthier, family. So she was raised to act a certain way and to maintain her family legacy. So she has. She's not afraid of her family, but she doesn't want to be disowned by them so she just acts how they want her to. She's a lot more chill when she's alone, but she'll act differently if people her family knows are around.

Personality: She's very nice, a little skittish from time to time though. She isn't the best at multitasking, but she's nice. She's patient.
Strengths: She's good at making friends, she has a lot of knowledge on sea creatures and plants, and she's very understanding.
Weaknesses: She gets pounding headaches, she doesn't know anything about who she was, and her mermaid self is blind.

Backstories: Aida grew up in the Ocean Kingdom. She was friends with the royals, and a lot of people there. She was always pretty distracted though, and never paid much attention to her surroundings. She would swim up to the surface every day and watch the sunrise. One of the days that she did, she ended up getting into an incident with a sailor. She was blinded and then she hit her head. When she woke up, she was human, and she was on the beach. She didn't have any memory of who she was. She was taken in by an elderly couple and she's spent her time there, and owns a flower shop.

Personality: She's very determined, and relatively brave. She'll always stand up for her friends, but doesn't stand up for herself as much. She's always trying to check in on people.

Weaknesses: Doesn't have great control of transforming from mermaid to human or vice verse. She's the least liked in her family, and she sometimes overworks herself.
Relationships: She'd know the ocean royals.
Backstories: Aura came from a family that was super well off, but more on the formal side. All of her other sisters were married off to wealthy people. Aura wasn't particuarly interested in that life though. She wanted to become a knight. So, she did. Her father thinks shes wasting her life away though. He's given her 6 months to prove she's actually doing something important as a knight or he'll force her to quit.

Personality: He's a little too curious about everything, and it usually gets him into trouble. His mermaid self is a bit kooky, and also a little ditsy. He's never transformed into a human before though.
Strengths: When he's human, he has mild ice powers. He's good with animals, and he's decent with finding his way somewhere.
Weaknesses: He'd probably be lured in easily with food, way too nosy, and he doesn't pay attention to his surroundings all that much. He also doesn't do well in hotter locations.

Backstories: Jasper was born as more of an ice mermaid, and so he and his parents relocated to cooler waters. He lives in waters near the Winter Kingdom, but will occasionally still visit the Ocean Kingdom. He usually just tries stealing fish from any humans, but that's because he just thinks the fish is free. His parents really didn't tell him anything about the human world.

Personality: He's really quiet, like, he barely talks at all. He's very introverted, and only really does well when he's not around a ton of people. Even when he is around people, he's a little sarcastic at first as a defense mechanism.
Strengths: He's a great artist, and a good cook. He's good at switching between human and merman form, and he's observant.
Weaknesses: He doesn't do well out in the sun, he's not great with people, and he's a little skittish.

Backstories: One of Briars parents is human, and the other is a mermaid. So he spent his time alternating between the land and the ocean. While he mainly lives in the ocean, he doesn't like his merman form all that much. He thinks it's just too grey. So he spends more time on land. Up on land, he works at a little cafe and usually spends his time creating latte art.

Weaknesses: He spends all his time alone, he gets defensive easily, and he's not great with people.

Backstories: Valentine always kept to himself growing up. He preferred reading a book to going to a party or training. He was always nice though. Val ventured up to the surface, but ended up getting attacked. Which is how he discovered his magic. When his parents found out about what had happened, they were mainly just worried he had dark magic. They sent him to doctors to try getting rid of it, but it just made it worse. It's why his appearance is a little odd. All he could do in free time was write, so he took to writing poetry. Now, he just lives by himself on the outskirts of the kingdom.
