Chapter 3
A few days passed, and no further interactions were made. Thankfully.
When I mean I'm awkward, I really REALLY mean it.
"Okay class, no more questions?"
No reply.
"Nothing?"
I fidgeted, I actually didn't understand a little itty bit of it. "Okay then, here's a seatwork, do it for at least 20 minutes. There're only 10 items so I would check all your works after you have finished them.
Well, good luck to me then.
Mr. Nicolas distributed out sheets of paper for each column. Nervous and anxiety soured in my body and my hands began shaking. What if I got a low score? Gosh, my parents would kill me. When the sheets of paper finally went to me, I got one and passed the ones left to the person behind me. I scanned the paper and looked at the problem on number one.
Okay, I can do this! Keep calm.
I answered problems one to seven with a fast-beating heart, sweaty hands, and two squinted eyes, focusing on the seatwork.
------
My eyes practically bulged out of my skull.
I now officially announce that I cannot solve problems 8 to 10.
Fiddlesticks, what am I gonna do?
Looking around the room for a friend that can help me solve this. I found nobody. This leaves me no choice.
"Hey."
"Hey." I repeated.
He finally looked at me, blue eyes staring intently. I continued,
"Can you math?"
