Alex pov~
(This might suck a bit but I felt like switching up the pov)

I woke up sprawled across my bed, blankets bunched up on one corner of the mattress. I rolled onto my back and sighed, staring at the ceiling and getting used to the light. My head hurt as the bright sunlight hit my pupils, so I closed my eyes.

It didn't help, so I took a guess and assumed I just had a headache. I tested my other functions to see which weren't working and which were intact.

Fingers/toes: still attached
Throat: in pain
Heart: seemingly still working
Limbs: fine
Lungs: functioning, but they seemed to cough every few minutes
Skin: really sweaty and uncomfortable
Hearing: seems to be working
Natural thermometer (?): clearly broken, cause I was really hot and yet every part of me was cold
Sense of smell: stuffed up but otherwise intact
Stomach: big ouch zone... why...?

I checked my memories.

Oh ok I was puking last night

After that I got up and looked around for John, but he wasn't in this room. I told myself not to be upset, because that meant I could get work done, and I shouldn't be so dependent on him.

I got up and headed to the door only to be stopped by a hug. I halted before realizing it was John and leaning into his embrace.

"Our friends are coming over today." He informed me.

"Hide all the precious or breakable items." I joked.

John picked me up and walked over to the wardrobe, placing me inside while I laughed.

"Hey!" I protested. "I'm not breakable."

"But you sure are precious."

I hugged and crossed my arms and he helped me up. I opened my mouth to say something but was interrupted by a cough. I doubled over, coughing out all the air that had been in my lungs.

"Maybe a little breakable, hm?" John teased and I shoved him playfully, hissing.

I squealed as he took me in his arms, falling backwards onto the ground. I rolled over and sat on him, refusing to get off.

There was a knock on the door and John moved me aside, getting up to open it. I sat on the ground, my momentarily forgotten fever now returning to hit me full force with the reminder of my pounding headache. I brought a hand to my head and tried to crush my skull so the pain would go away.

That doesn't work apparently.

I heard voices down the hall so I stood up and walked to the door, not caring if I was still in pyjamas.

The second I got past the door I recognized the voices as Peggy and Maria, who had started dating a few days ago (I know, I know, I said I was giving Marliza a shot, but Meggy is just too good). I walked down the hall and gave Maria a hug which she was clearly not expecting, because she jumped and looked behind her in shock.

From the look on her face, I assumed I didn't look ravishing right now.

"Alex, we've been over this, you need to get outside more." Peggy joked, looking at me too now.

"Yeah, yeah." I rolled my eyes and gave Peggy a hug too, glad she and Maria were my height. I'd started to feel even shorter then usual, only seeing John and my cat.

"Soo... how are you?" Maria asked, making her way to the living room.

I gave her a flat stare. "I woke up in the middle of the night to puke my guts out. Does that answer your question?"

"Yes, yes it does." She looked at me pityingly.

"Good, now... Disney movies?" I offered.

"Disney movies!" Peggy shrieked, rubbing into the living room.

I chuckled and followed after her, Maria and John trailing behind me. I plopped down on the couch just as Peggy turned on the Lion King and curled up next to Ducky, imitating his weird cat position.

There was another knock and John went to go get it because I was curled up under two blankets with a pot next to me and sweating like crazy, which was not exactly a position I wanted to move from.

I heard Eliza, Angelica, Lafayette and Hercules's voices and sighed, looking around. There was only so much space on the couch and I wasn't sure that Laf or Angelica would want to watch Frozen in English and on full volume.

The four people made their way into the living room and waged a mini war for the couch, which I had a large part of and did not intend on giving back.

Predictably, Angelica won and brought Eliza with her, so Laf and Herc sat on the carpet next to Meggy.

Apparently, everyone's main concern was my wellbeing, which was sweet and a bit overwhelming, so the movie selection didn't seem to matter.

Multiple times throughout the movies I had to take a break to puke or get medicine, but I think it's safe to say the day went pretty well.
