"DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love", Usher Feat. Pitbull

After the ceremony, the room went completely dark, and the ceiling started twinkling like a starry night sky while a delicate moonlight shone on James and Amaury, courtesy of Anna. I sang for them and they slow danced as husbands for the first time. Then everyone joined them and Aidan got up on stage to dance with me while I finished the song in his arms.

We had an extravagant food buffet to fuel us all night and comfortable, though elegant, sofas on each side of the dancefloor to get some rest between two songs on the playlist specifically curated by Lucas.

One of the highlights of the party was certainly the very special Saturday Night Challenge we had prepared. We had all put in a jar some song titles, carefully chosen, and the idea was that everyone could take on the challenge if they wanted, except of course Amaury and James who had no choice on the matter.

When it was his turn, Amaury shuffled the pieces of paper and chose one, with a terrified look. "Okay," he said. "It's 'DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love' by Usher." He looked pensive for a minute as we were suspended at his lips, waiting for his reaction. "I can pull this off," he said with a mischievous smile, "but I need someone to help me. Elise?"

"Do you even have to ask?" I answered with the same kind of smile. I then reached for a pair of shades left behind the bar, put them on and asked Aidan and James to sit on both sides of me, while I spread out my arms upon the back of the sofa. "Go. We are ready."

Not only Amaury sang the song, but he also nailed hip hop moves he improvised in the moment. Anna, Lucas and Jimena stood up cheering, dancing and applauding. He got some whistles to celebrate his success, even though I do not know who they came from. When it was my moment, I channeled my inner Pitbull the best I could, while Aidan and James fought to keep a serious face behind me.

Then James gave everything he had on a brilliant rendition of 'You're My Heart, You're My Soul' by Modern Talking with the perfect amount of hairography required. He had asked me to help on the chorus and of course I agreed to join.

"Congratulations," I said to James and Amaury when I had the opportunity to sit with both of them. I kissed them on the cheek and they smiled. "How do you feel?"

"Happy," Amaury said.

Then James nodded. "Same."

"I got a present for you. A honeymoon. Three destinations around the world. A month of traveling. Everything is taken care of. You can leave tomorrow morning. And of course, you can change anything you want."

They looked at me, stunned.

"But Elise, you didn't have to do that," Amaury said.

I waved my hand. "This is nothing. Enjoy this time together and come back to us quickly to tell us everything."

They smiled and hugged me.

Then, Lucas provided us with an on-point mash-up of hits, leading us definitely to a dancefloor we would not leave until the morning.
