Michael
~

My face stayed frozen as I closed the front door. Everybody rushed to me, asking questions about what Andrew told me but I was too shocked to listen to them.

I knew I should not trust Andrew, but now, I realized he was a real thief for Blanche and I.

And I had to do something to make him stop.

"Michael, are you okay ?" I heard my mother ask me as she rubbed my back softly. Her voice was full of worry and I looked at her slowly. I gulped and turned my head side to side. "Sit down, honey. You don't have to tell us what happened, yet." she told me as she led me to the living room. I sat on the couch and looked straight in front of me.

I felt everyone staring at me but my voice was like stuck in my throat, and I couldn't say any word.

Mother continued to stroke my arm and I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.

"This dude is crazy," Tito breathed, as though he couldn't believe what he just saw.

"He did something to Blanche," I finally said, looking down at my hands. Everyone looked at me with shock, their jaws on the floor.

"He what ?" Joseph exclaimed angrily, his jaw clenched.

My father always liked Blanche, and he was always defending her when I wasn't there to do it. I will always be grateful for what he did.

"I don't know what he did exactly, but I can't leave Blanche alone anymore. It's too dangerous." I replied, looking at everyone. They were listening carefully with concern in their eyes.

"How are you gonna do that ?" Randy asked me and I started to think about a plan.

"I have an idea, but I'll need one of you to help me." I said slowly, my brows furrowed.

"What is it ?" Joseph asked me.

"Someone needs to find her and ask her to come at Hayvenhurst." I explained and Janet looked at me with huge eyes. "Tell her it's for her own security."

"But how are we going to find her ?" Jackie asked and I shrugged.

"We'll need to find a way."

"It's best if Janet does it." Mother said and I looked at her from where she was seated next to me.

"What ? No !" Janet exclaimed with red cheeks. "I'll never convince her !"

"Of course you will, Jan." Randy told her. "We all know she was getting along with you better than with anyone else." he said and we all nodded in approval.

"But, Michael," she complained. "She'll never let me talk to her."

"Listen, Jan," I told her, leaning towards her. "I am the one who broke up with her. Not you." I reminded her and she sighed. "Maybe she'll never talk to me again, but at least, I'll know she'll safe."

Finally, Janet nodded and we all looked at each other in victory.

I really wished my plan would work. I couldn't think of Blanche and I being apart anymore. Having a slight chance of her by my side was already relieving me.

Blanche
~

"Your room is on the third floor. Left door." the receptionist told me with a warm smile.

"Thank you," I mumbled tiredly, my eyes swollen from all the tears that fell earlier.

I took my suitcase with me and headed to my room with lazy steps.

I couldn't stay in my apartment. The whole place was uninhabitable, now. Everything had been destroyed. I didn't know by whom, but I really wanted to find out.

Obviously, they didn't like me, at all.

The situation was so frustrating. Honestly, thinking about it gave me an headache.

I had so many questions in my head. Who did it ? Why ? How did they get my address ? How did they know I wasn't in my apartment when they did it ?

This couldn't be a crazy fan. That was much more important.

I tried to talk to Ms. Lockwood this afternoon but she wasn't in her apartment. That's when I remembered that she traveled to her son's. She told me that when I had dinner with her, but I completely forgot afterwards.

I'm sure if she were there when the person had entered my place, she would have called the police.

I was so tired of my life, at that moment. Whenever I felt joy in my heart, I was stabbed in the back by new problems.

I spent two perfect weeks in Danville, and the only thing I wanted when coming back in Los Angeles was to relax and tell what happened during my trip to the two people that I loved the most ; Jerry and Ms. Lockwood.

Of course, God didn't realize my wish.

Now, I had to stay at an hotel until I'd find a new place to move in. And, to be honest, finding a new place not too expensive in Los Angeles was a real challenge.

I thought about moving back to Danville with my parents but I didn't want to tell them what happened, yet. They'd be so worried, just like when I told them that Michael broke up with me. And I didn't want to leave Los Angeles. I loved this city, and Ms. Lockwood and Jerry were keeping me good company whenever I needed them.

I sighed and jumped in bed, relaxing against the pillows. I was way too tired to change from my clothes. The bed wasn't as comfortable as the one I had at my place but it was okay.

I soon drifted off to sleep, the only place where my problems weren't there to remind me that my life had become shitty these last two years.

Two days later
~

The machine made a squeaky noise and I grimaced, reaching down to take my pack of candies. I waited for the extra money to come out of the machine but it didn't.

"Crap," I muttered and looked around me. When I made sure that nobody was in the hall, I lifted my foot and kicked the hard metal but soon regretted it.
"Damn it !" I hissed as pain rushed in my foot. I held it and tried to stroke it through my shoe but it didn't help anything. Hopefully, two coins fell from the machine and I hurried to take them with my bag of sweets.

I took the elevator and came back in my room.

I had been in this hotel for two days now. I still hadn't started searching for a new place. I wanted to relax for a few days, spending my days sleeping or reading books.

I tried to go shopping the day before but abandoned. The streets were too crowdy and it annoyed me way too much. But I'll had to do it one day, anyway, as the only clothes I had were the ones I brought with me to my parents' house. Basically, all I had was my suitcase.

I lied on the bed and took off my shoes, massaging my toes slowly. They were blue and everytime I touched them, I felt a rush of pain and winced. It wasn't that painful, but still...

Suddenly, someone knocked at my room's door and I rolled my eyes. I couldn't have two minutes for myself.

"Come in !" I exclaimed, crossing my legs and waiting for the door to open.

A young guy that I recognized as the bodyguard of the hotel peeked his head out of the doorway and smiled at me.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but someone's there in the hall and is asking for you." he told me and I lifted my brows in surprise.

Who would want to see me ? And how did they know I was here ?

"Alright," I said and stood up. The guy nodded his head and closed the door. I put my shoes on again and headed to the hall.

When I reached the hall, the bodyguard was there, talking to someone and I guessed it was the person who wanted to see me. From where I was, he was hiding them so I couldn't see who they were.

I cleared my throat and the man turned around. That's when I recognized-

"Janet ?" I exclaimed with surprise. She smiled shyly at me and the man left us. "W-What... What are you doing here ?" I asked, studying her face.

It had been a while since I last saw her.

"I needed to see you," she told me softly. I gave her a puzzled look and nodded, indicating that she could continue. "We know something happened to you," she whispered and I looked at her with shock.

"How ?" I asked quietly, my heart beating fast in my chest.

"I-I don't know if I can tell you. But you're in danger." she admitted and I gasped. "You can't stay here, anymore."

"But, where would I go ? My place is a complete mess and I can't go back there." I told her, looking at her with worried eyes.

"Oh..." she mumbled, looking down with furrowed eyebrows. "Come with me at Hayvenhurst. You'll be safe there, I promise." she told me after a moment of silence.

My breath was caught in my throat.

Hayvenhurst ? I couldn't accept.

"No. I can't." I told her, looking down at my feet with sorrow. "Michael's probably there with his wife. I can't see him. Especially with her... It-... It's too hard."

"They divorced." she said immediately after, and I looked at her with surprised eyes.

"They did ?" I questioned, tilting my head to the side. She nodded and gave me a reassuring smile.

"He never loved her, anyway." she told me and I opened my mouth in an "o". "Please, Blanche. Michael's trying to help you." she pleaded, joining her palms together.

"Michael ? He charged you to ask me that ?" I was shocked.

Honestly, I thought he forgot about me. The way he seemed careless when he broke up with me obviously meant he didn't care about me.

"Of course." she smiled softly at me. "But, I understand you're mad at him. And you won't have to talk to him. We just want you to be safe with us." she explained and I sighed, thinking about the reasons not to go.

Except the fact that Michael would be there, I had no reason to refuse.

The fact that the Jackson family still cared about me was warming my heart. And I couldn't blame them for what Michael did to me ; that was his fault.

"Alright, I guess." I told her and shrugged. She smiled wide and seemed to not believe what I told her.

"Really ?" she exclaimed, and I nodded, chuckling to her enthusiasm. She squeeled and hugged me.

She hugged me just like when we acted as sisters. She was my best friend. I used to tell her everything, and she used to tell me everything. Now that I wasn't with Michael anymore, our paths separated, and we never saw each other again.

It was good to be back with her. That was at that moment that I realized I'd been missing her and her family very much.

A/N : she accepteeeeeed !!! :)))) I'm so excited to know how her and Michael will act with each other at Hayvenhurst !! ;)
I hope you liked this chapter ! I love you :)
