~Yuina~(A/N: pic is of oc)

"Alright everyone line up, the new captain is going to be here any minute"the lieutenant commanded our squad twelve, i was one of the grunts a low ranked 20th seat officer my name is Yuina Guan, i took my position very seriously though after all i rose this far thanks to my diligence, at least that's what the previous captain told me.

Then not much later the new captain walked in, being a seated officer i stood at the front and got a pretty good view, the new captain was male, blond hair and grey eyes but not much else to him.

"Uhm hello i'm Kisuke Urahara, i was promoted from squad two's third seat and so uhm i'm pleased to inform you that i'm your new captain, nice to meet you"he said, he seemed very nervous and looking at the others they didn't seem to like him.

Stepping up i decided to try make our new captain feel welcome "It's very nice to meet you too captain i'm Yuina Guan 20th seat"i said and gave a polite bow, from the corner of my eye i could see the others being stunned after all i wasn't the friendliest person yet here i was first to welcome the new captain.

~Kisuke~

I blinked and stared in awe at the young woman infront of me, the other seemed shocked at her gesture and i was too "No need to be so formal but uhm thank you for the warm welcome"i told her.

She snapped up and smiled, i felt my heart clench her smile was absolutely beautiful "You're welcome"she simply said, Yuina Guan she said that was her name, i'd like to get to know her more.

After that i turned to my lieutenant "Hello there"i said extending a hand feeling a little more confident about trying to make new friends after Yuina introduced herself but my hand was smacked away leaving me a little stunned.

"I will not accept this, i already don't like it that captain Higifune left us so fast and now we get you?! Come one you're from squad two that's the stealth force you're killers, someone who's been secretly killing people isn't fit to be our captain!"she yelled.

~Yuina~

I sighed a bit, lieutenant Hiyori did have a point but "You're going too far lieutenant"i told her, she turned to me glaring right at me like the little brat she really is "Am i? I'm just saying what you all are thinking, except you it seems have you already forgotten about captain Higifune?"she asked clearly angry.

"Of course not i-"i got cut off "Exactly so why were you so quick to welcome him in?! You're not even that friendly!"the lieutenant yelled pointing at me "I just think we should give captain Urahara a chance his past doesn't matter, he's the captain of our squad now"i said.

~Kisuke~

I had been watching and listening the whole time in awe of Yuina as she stood up for me against her own lieutenant even though Yuina hardly knew me, i let out a little laugh as i do when i'm nervous when Hiyori grabbed my collar bringing me down to her level.

"What's so funny?! Didn't you hear me earlier when i insulted your own squad?! You had no reaction at all, you coward aren't you angry at that?!"she asked "Not at all after all i'm the captain of squad twelve now"i calmly replied glancing over to Yuina and seeing that beautiful smile of hers again.

"That's what i decided this morning when i woke up"i said turning back to my lieutenant "Once i get out of this bed i will now belong to squad twelve, i consciously decided i'll only get angry if someone criticises squad twelve"i said standing up again and facing my new squad.

"I think it's nice to choose what upsets you and what doesn't, i believe having the will to change how we think really allows us to start over right?"i asked again glancing over to Yuina as she nodded.

~Yuina~

I think i was right to welcome captain Urahara right away i can tell he'll be a great captain for our squad twelve, but it seemed lieutenant Hiyori needed more convincing as she kicked our new captain in the crotch before running off.

I walked over to the captain "Erm are you alright sir?"i asked "Hmm oh that it's nothing to worry so uhm if it wasn't too much trouble could you help me move in?"he asked.

"Yes sir!"the whole squad myself included replied, captain Urahara lead us to his old place and everyone helped him pack up and move all his stuff into some carts that would make them easier to move back to the squad barracks.

~Kisuke~

I found myself watching Yuina as she helped the rest of my squad with the move, she was very attractive even with the baggy shihaksho of the shinigami i could tell she had a great figure not only that everything else about her was attractive like her black silky hair and her dark eyes.

Yet putting all that and her beautiful smile aside there was something else drawing me towards her, i wanted her to be closer to me and i wanted to protect her, so i caught her as we were leaving my old place.

~Yuina~

"Captain? Something you need?"i asked turning to him since he caught my wrist, then suddenly he pulled me closer and i felt my face flush "U-uhm captain?"i stuttered watching him, you know getting a closer look he's kinda handsome.

I felt myself flush even more over that, he started leaning in i panicked and punched him sending him flying outside, i gasped a bit and used shunpo to get over to him "I'm so sorry captain!"i said bowing in apology.

I heard a groan as the captain stood up from where he had landed "No it's quite alright i got into your face, that's some power you have though which seat were you again?"he asked rubbing his nose before i heard a crack as he put it back in place.

Apparently that punch had broken his nose "I'm seat 20 sir"i said still bowed down "Really? That punch was worth at least the third seat"the captain said, i felt a hand on my head and looked up a bit "Captain?"i asked and flushed seeing him smile at me.

"Right i'd like you to be my third seat, also you can call me Kisuke when it's just you and me alright?"he asked, i smiled straightening myself out "Alright, Kisuke"i said and he smiled back before we walked back to the squad barracks.
