Thorin Oakenshield
"Quietly... I know they can't see me but I still need to be careful." I thought to myself. I had a habit of thinking to myself. It was like talking to myself, but quieter.
I was trying to sneak some wine out of the Mirkwood wine cellar. Being able to turn invisible helps, when all the elves hate you.
The gaurds came in and started talking with the people who took care of the wine. I caught the word "dwarves" and being half dwarf, half elf, it interested me.
The guards were kind of blurry, like everything else that isn't invisible (so everything). I was so interested that I didn't notice that a small man had come up behind the guard until he was quite close.
"That is a hobbit." I thought. "What is a hobbit doing down here in the Mirkwood wine cellar? Why aren't the guards noticing him?"
"Wait a second... He isn't blurry. He must be invisible as well!"
I watched the hobbit. He was listening to the guards as they spoke about the empty barrels. One guard placed the keys on a hook.
The hobbit watched until the guard had left. The wine cellar staff, of two people, were quite drunk. They fell asleep on the table immedietly.
The hobbit then grabbed the keys and went back up the steps. I followed.
A few minutes later I lost him... "Darn, I really wanted to know where-" *facepalm* I realized that he must be in the dungeon if he took the keys.
I took a shortcut to the dungeon and walked in. I heard a couple voices.
"Did he offer you a deal?" The first one asked. "Ai, I told him to-" that was some rude language there. "Great. That deal was our only chance to get out of here."
I walked in quietly and looked at all the prisioners. All Dwarves. At one cell I looked in and almost gasped. "It can't be..." I thought.
"We'll never get to the mountain in time for Durin's day now." A different dwarf spoke.
"Not stuck in here your not." I turned around. It was that hobbit. All the dwarves cheered. "Shh, there are guards nearby." he muttered.
All the dwarves thanked him. "Bilbo." was the name of the hobbit. I was still thinking about that one dwarf...
Bilbo led the dwarves up and about to the wine cellar. I followed. "Get in the barrels." Bilbo whispered pointing to the empty barrels in the cellar. "We'll be seen!" One of them exclaimed.
"No you won't just trust me, will you please-" he looked at the one dwarf, he seemed to be the leader. "Get in the barrels." they all climbed in.
I was glad that I was invisible as I looked closely at the main dwarf, otherwise it would be quite creepy.
It couldn't be... Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror, could it? I had met him once when I was younger...
Bilbo pulled a lever and the whole floor tilted, sending the dwarves rolling down into the water beneath.
Bilbo looked pleased with himself as the floor closed up. Then he stopped, and pointed at the floor and then at himself, realizing that he was still in the cellar.
I almost laughed as Bilbo tried to push the floor down with his foot, he did look silly. He tried jumping. It didn't work.
He walked backwards. and the floor started tilting. I ran after him as he fell into the water.
Still invisible, I somehow landed in one of the empty barrels, while Bilbo landed in the water and grabbed onto one of the many dwarves' barrels.
"Well done, master Baggins." I heard (possibly) Thorin say. We floated down through the caves, into the river. "Thirteen dwarves." I counted in my head as we came into the sunlight.
I looked ahead. So we were going to under the bridge to escape. I heard yells and turned. The Elven guards had come.
So close to the bridge, just a little bit farther...
The gates closed in Thorin's face. The guard was about to shoot when an arrow flew through his head.
Filty, discusting, Orcs.
I looked around. A (might I say pretty attractive) dwarf jumped out of his barrel and ran to pull the lever for the gates open. "Kili!" Thorin yelled.
I was under the bridge with Thorin and a couple others, so I couldn't see where Kili went. I heard a scream of pain. "I don't think Kili is doing so well." I thought to myself.
After a few moments of hearing swords clashing, arrows flying, and Orcs growling, the gates opened. I looked behind me. The dwarf Kili fell into his barrel as am arrow flew out of his leg. "Ooooohh. That must smart a bit." I thought.
We went down the river in these barrels and there was a lot of killing Orcs, and whatnot. I looked at Thorin, who (like Kili) was pretty attractive.
"Thorin" I heard a dwarf call. Thorin turned around and caught the weapon thrown to him.
It was certain. This was Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror. I hadn't seen him in years. Not that he would remember me.
There was more badass fighting from the dwarves and then the Kings son, Legolas Greenleaf, joined the battle along with Tauriel, some She-elf that was always around. They were pretty badass too.
I felt bad that I couldn't fight, which I was very skilled at if I do say so myself. I felt the invisibility weakening. at last the Orcs were becoming less, and less, and the elves stayed behind.
We floated down river a bit more and a rock came into view, where some dwarves were already getting out of their barrels. I decided to make my big reveal. I hid behind a large branch until they all passed and then became visible, and floated up to them.
"Well that was fun guys. Where are we off to next?" I called out. They all stared at me. "When were you...? But how did you...? What?" A blondish dwarf stuttered.
"Fili... Let me handle it." Thorin said to the dwarf. "Who are you elf?" He hissed.
"I am Emariya. And I am no common elf." I stated loudly.
"My father was one of your own, a dwarf. He fell in love with an elf and I was created." I stepped out of the barrel. "If I were an elf, I'd probably be taller." I said brushing myself off.
The dwarves and Bilbo just stared at me for a few minutes.
I looked up and around, whistling to myself. Fili was the first to speak.
He walked forwards, holding out his hand. "I am Fili. Pleased to meet you m'lady." He kissed my hand. I laughed.
More dwarves introduced themselves and shook my hand. I met Bofur, Oin, Dori, Ori, Bombur, Balin, Bifur, Fili, and Kili. Then Thorin came up to me.
"What do you want?" He asked. "I want to come with you. And if you say no, I'll just follow you."
Thorin sighed. "Fine. I can see that you will be very hard to get rid."
"What?! She is part elf, and she is a lady!" The one I heard was called Dwalin, exclaimed to Thorin. "Woman." I corrected him. He glared at me.
"You usually go mad over anything that might disrupt your plan!" He yelled. Gloin and Nori joined in.
"SILENCE!" Thorin yelled. "I know what I am doing. Yes, I don't want her to come, but she will just follow us if we don't bring her." He said staring at me. I nodded.
"Don't think I'm doing this because I want to. I know I don't have a chance in argument against her. Now let us leave."
"What about Kili?" I asked. His leg is very injured."
He glared sideways at me. "You have ten minutes." He said through gritted teeth. I walked over to Kili and ripped a strip of cloth off my extra jacket.
"Thanks." he said in pain as I cleaned the wound with water. "I know it smarts, but this will help." I said. I glanced at Thorin who was looking down the river.
I felt a weird fluttery feeling in my stomach when he looked at me. "It's because I'm off on an adventure." I thought to myself.
Off on an adventure.
