Footsteps
Morning wasn't to come for a while, yet she still had to wake up. The sound of footsteps echoed through her tiny apartment, even though nobody was supposed to be there.
Curiously, she got out of her bed to head into the hallway, where the supposed noise came from. She was probably hearing things, but you could never be too sure in her opinion. Nothing. No signs of a person were evident in the dark area, so she concluded nobody was there. Rain hit the window in her bedroom as she got back in bed, preparing to go back to sleep when the sound of a door being opened stopped her.
She was about to regret leaving her room.
Turning sharply, the tension around her seemed to never go away. Then, something appeared in front of her bed.
A thick liquid fell from the ceiling and onto her arm.
She wouldn't make it to class the next day.
