C.3~Decisions
"Daddy, why did that guy run away from you at the park? Did you do somethin' mean to him?" Cameron inquired as Aris set him on top of his new Paw Patrol bed sheets.
Aris ignored the question for a moment and focused more on changing Rose's diaper, which had dispersed a pungent smell into the air. Cameron let out a disgusted sigh as the smell grew prominent.
"Well," Aris began as he buttoned Rose's onesie," I did not do something to him, Cam, I promise. I can tell you why when you are older," Aris stated as he tickled Rose's belly, a small giggle escaping her mouth.
"So like, when I'm rewy big?" Cameron questioned as he cocked his head to the left.
"Yes, bud. Now it's time for you to get all comfy-cozy in your bed. It's way past your bedtime." Aris proclaimed as he picked up Rose and carried her over to her crib.
"But daddy, I'm not tired-" Cameron started as he let out a big yawn, indicating the opposite.
"I know, Cam, I know, but daddy has a lot of things to do tonight before he goes to bed." Aris cut in as he led Cameron over to his red race car shaped bed.
"Wait! I wanna hold Rose!" Cameron demanded as he turned around with a misty haze covering his eyes.
"Alright, just for a little bit, I think she is also really tired." Aris answered as he let out a deep sigh.
Aris set baby Rose onto Cameron's lap and he looked at her for a moment. Her tiny blue eyes were still open and she looked like a little burrito wrapped with pink fuzz. He gently raised Rose up so their noses were touching and he gave her a small peck. Seeing Cameron show so much affection towards his sister was heartwarming. Aris was fortunate to have such a loving son, especially in times when Rose needed it. Aris stood in front of them for a long time and watched as Cameron cradled his sister in his arms.
"I love you, baby Rose." Cameron muttered as he gave one last hug to her and then handed her to his dad.

" I just can't put the two in the hands of my mother, she wouldn't like it." Aris whispered to himself.
He knew that once he started his second year of college, things were going to get a lot more difficult in the Collins household. Aris wanted to find a nanny, but he felt like he could not trust anyone in this situation. Different scenarios filled his mind as he pondered.
What if the nanny told somebody and then word got around?
There had to be something he could do that would not involve having a nanny. He was aware that once Cameron was a few years older, he was going to feel the pain and sadness of not having a mother. Aris convinced himself that it would be all his fault for Cameron feeling that way. Then, once Rose was at least four, she would begin to understand more and have the same reactions that Cam would.
His head was throbbing and his eyes were beginning to droop as time flew by from nine o' clock to ten, then eleven. He reluctantly turned off his laptop and stood up, feeling all the blood begin to rush through his legs.
As he stripped down his clothing and went into the shower, the warmth of the water seemed to soothe him. He felt like a normal college student with hopes and legacies to achieve, but when he stepped out of the shower and into the unwanted chill of the room, everything that was happening seemed to ricochet off of the bathroom walls and hit him .
As he checked his phone one last time before closing his eyes, a sudden thought came to his mind. He didn't like the idea, but he knew that he would have to do it in order to keep his kids the way he wants them to be.
He was going to ask Mikayla.
