o4. mutual feelings
Giselle | Jesse
Ever been so drunk that you don't remember what you've done? Yes? I don't recommend it unless you'll have someone there helping you, but either way just don't.
Drinking after being angry is not the brightest idea. At the moment my head is pounding and I could really use a drink of water. "Jessie boy!"
I groaned, covering my head with my pillow, in attempts to drown out Parker's yelling. Sadly I could still hear his screaming almost like a banshee.
"Fvck you want? It's Sunday!" I spoke in my sleep deprived voice. Flipping over, I tucked the pillow under my head again and leaned over to my nightstand to get my phone.
One new message:
Sierra: Give me back my cat, you ass.
Only my sister would text me about her cat, Waldo. He's a tabby cat, about 6 months old and whenever she comes over to my place, she lets him sleep here. The thing is I don't remember when she dropped him off here, my memory at the moment is very foggy.
Glancing away from my phone, I looked to the door to see Parker running passed it. "What's up your äss?"
"Your sister's psychotic cat! Get it to stop chasing me!" He cried like the wimp he was.
Sighing, I got up and walked over to the door to see Waldo leap into the air towards Parker. I managed to grab him before he could cause Parker any permanent damage. Waldo meowed in anger as he squirmed in my arms, demanding to be free to scratch Parker.
"Easy there, Wally. He's not worth it,"
"Hey!"
"Meow!"
"Don't you meow me!" Parker snapped, hiding behind the couch as he watched Waldo with fearful eyes.
I set Waldo down as he scampered off towards his food, in the kitchen completely ignoring Parker. "Why does your sister like cats? Why couldn't she have gotten a dog?" He sighed, plopping onto the couch.
I shrugged, "I don't know why she likes cats more than dogs, I've really never minded, I like both of them."
"Of course you would. Say, what happened with that girl that got your number?"
I gave my number to someone but I can't remember who, I was sort of tipsy when they came up to me. Somehow I managed to not slur my words or sentence as I spoke which is a fvcking miracle if you ask me. I turned and gave Parker a look, demanding him to tell me more of this.
He seemed to understand my look and proceed to tell me, "She was pretty cute, seemed like your type too. Brown hair and big brown eyes? Ring a bell?"
My memory started to clear up as I remembered her, she was shorter than me around my shoulders. Parker was right, she was pretty cute. I remember that she came up to me and asked for my number because someone made a bet with her. God I hope I didn't make an ass of myself when I spoke to her, there goes my chance with her.
"I remember, I gave her my number and she then called me cute," I chuckled, "But she called me Lou,"
Parker burst out laughing, throwing his head back against the couch. He laughed for a good minute before sobering up and gave me a serious look. "If she happens to call you, don't fvck it up. She seemed like a nice girl, you haven't dated in a long time and I'm sure you'd hit it off,"
He stood up and stretched, "Now enough of this mushy s.hit and let's go eat,"

"So tell me again how you managed to give your number away but not get hers in return?" Sebastian, our other roommate questioned me.
He was on a business trip for two weeks in New York and he just came back today. Parker wasted no time in filling him in on what's been going on with me, especially with the girl whom I gave my number to and didn't get hers.
"I was drunk, okay? I was in a different mind set, there's no way I'd remember to ask for anything." I snapped, pulling my styrofoam to go box onto my lap.
We went to buy food—I sent Parker into the diner to get our food, by the time he came out, Sebastian was calling that he was at our flat. Sebastian and I go way back since diaper days to college years, we graduated together.
He decided to go to law school, while I went for my masters in business administration. After college, we both decided to move in together to make rent easier but we decided to get a big house and didn't realize the rent was more. This is where Parker came in and we just kind of bonded, becoming brothers in a way.
"Well hopes of her calling you now are slim to none, genius," Parker snorted, pushing off the ground with his foot, making the hammock he was on start to swing.
We were in the backyard, eating away since it was a pretty fresh night considering it was summer. The days were humid and hot while the nights grew cool and fresh. I was more of a winter person, I mean I was born in November so that pretty much explains why I've adapted to the cold.
"Parks has a point, she might not call but who knows? I'm sure she'll call a hunk like you right, Parker?" Seb nodded, throwing his empty soda cup at Parker's head. It hit him in the face, slapping his forehead. He hissed in pain before sitting up right and glared at Seb.
"Yeah sure, whatever,"
I shook my head, taking a bite of my grilled cheese. These guys should make their own inspiration quotes on cards some day, they'll make millions! Yeah right.
I snorted, thinking how ridiculous that idea was when my phone buzzed, usually I don't get texts during the weekends much unless it's my family or work. Cleaning my hand off, I pulled my phone out and saw I had a message from an unknown number. Swiping my phone open, a smile made its way onto my face.
One new message:
Is this Jesse? It's Giselle, the girl you gave your number too? Well I'd like us to formally meet, could you possibly come down to the bar tomorrow night?
