o3. flirtatious vibes

"For fvck's sake, H! How many times have I told you not to slid the glasses?" Ricky snapped, his eyes blazing in anger as he watched H pick up the pieces of shattered glass from the floor.
"I wanted to test out my luck once more, I honestly didn't think it'd shatter that way," H shrugged, carefully picking up the shards.
I tried to hold in my laughter, watching Ricky holding himself back from strangling H, it's the fourth glass he's broken this week. I think this is his new record, I'm impressed actually.
It's been a slow day today, it's also been quiet and I can't complain. Along with the fact that I haven't seen my sister for the last two days, it's brighten my mood. We had a huge argument the day before yesterday over her sleazy boyfriend.
He visits her from time to time, mainly when he wants s.ex from her. I don't care, I really don't, I take note the days he comes so I can be out of the apartment. This time I happen to be home when he dropped by, he didn't realize I was home and he walked into the guest room. I got freaked out and smacked him with my baseball bat, I know!
It was a mistake on my part, I always take precautions and come on, I didn't expect that douche to barge into the room! Have you guys seen that movie Home Alone? Well it was literally like that! I heard noises and got my bat, when the door opened, I swung and he fell with a thud. My sister came home to see him out cold, on the floor of my room. Let's just say she lost her sh¡t and that's where the argument started, hurtful words were said, and I gathered my stuff and left.
Thankfully, Ricky owns the building where the bar is at and he has a loft above the bar. He doesn't live there, uses it mainly for storage for the bar and he lets me crash there from time to time when ever I need a place.
"You're costing me money here, you think it's easy to find one single glass? Fvck no! They sell them together, TOGETHER, OKAY?"
H nodded, finishing up his cleaning by using the broom. I raised the glass filled with water to my lips and took a sip. Feeling the cold water float down my throat felt like heaven, I could drink water all day.
"Giselle, can you take this bottle and glasses to the booth in the back?" I turned to see Ricky, holding a tray with a bottle of Grey Goose and four shot glasses.
"I'm not a waitress," I sighed, taking the tray from his hands. He gave me a firm nod before turning back to the bar and helped out H, the holy hour as we call it was about to start and people were about to start piling in like usual, I wanted to just clock out and sleep. Sadly, sleep don't pay my bills or rent, ain't that a load of bull.

"I bet that lady in red is going to fall, in five...four...three...two," H didn't get to finish because she fell before he did. She let out a yelp and tumbled down onto the hard, wooden floor. Her friends were laughing and giggling around her, letting the fact that she ate it simmer in for a sec.
They finally helped her up and she stumbled on her footing, clinging onto one of her friends in case she fell again. Groaning, I looked away and saw H holding his hand out, waiting for the money we betting on that lady. I bet she wouldn't but she'd stumble and he bet she'd fall so I lost 10 bucks.
"Cough them up, brat,"
Reluctantly, I pulled out a crumpled up 10 dollar bill and slapped it on his hand. He hissed in pain, pulling the bill from his palm and smoothed it out. Grinning like the creep he is, he shoved them in his pocket and went to the bottles.
"You owe me lunch,"
"Since when? It was a fair and square bet, sweetheart. Don't be a sore loser," He smiled.
I narrowed my eyes at him, wanting to gauged out his eyes with my hands. Okay so I don't take losing very good, I'm a competitive person and I always have win. Okay, okay not always but just around H because he's an idiot and a cheat. So I decided to come up with a plan, one that'll give me my money back and an extra 10 bucks.
"Hey douche," I whispered, grabbing the rag and wiped down the counter.
"Hmm?"
"Let's make another bet,"
"Oh god, no." After a few seconds, he spoke again, "Fvck me, what is it?"
I grinned to myself, "Well you tell me,"
"I bet you can't go get that guy's number over there," I looked at H before looking over to the table he nudged with his chin.
There were three guys at that table, all of them hot. Real predictable. There was a blonde guy, a brunette dude, and the last guy that had dark almost black hair. "Get the guy with the black hair's number,"
"Deal! You better give me 20 now because this is way more extreme now,"
He snorted, "Fine, I want to see this go down with your awkwardness,"
"Shut the fvck up," I hissed, looking away and focused my eyes on the guy. From where I stood the guy was a damn looker, the way his body looked by the way he sat really showed off muscles.
He wore a fitted black t-shirt with some dark jeans, the shirt clung onto his body like a second skin molded perfectly. His dark hair tousled in the subtle way where he doesn't fix it but manages to keep it neat. I shouldn't have made that bet. I shouldn't have thought about getting those 10 bucks back. I should've kept my mouth closed.
"Let's go, I'm waiting," H nudged me causing me to stumble a tad bit forward. I took a deep breath and swallowed my pride, marching my way towards the table did I notice his friends had left. How convenient.
Approaching the table, noticing him up close and I was a little stunned how hot this guy was up close. He was drinking his beer when he noticed me approaching, and placed his glass down. He titled his head to the side ever so slowly and raised an eyebrow at me.
I took a deep breath before speaking, "I know this is going to sound weird but can I have your number?"
"My number?" He asked, incredulously.
"Yes! See that douche behind the bar bet me 20 I couldn't get your number and I'd like to prove him wrong. It's okay if you don't want to hand it out. I mean who would—"
He cut off my rambling, "Here, show the douche you got my number," He winked.
A smile broke out onto my face, "Thank you, this is so great!" I grabbed the piece of paper and shoved it in my back pocket, looking up at him, he was getting his stuff and coat.
"Seriously think about texting me or calling me, I don't just give out my number like that," He gave me a shit eating grin that told me he did give out his number often.
"You're cute, Lou," I laughed, "Very cute,"
"My name's not Lou, by the way, it's Jesse." He walked towards the door, turning back and looked at me, giving me a mock salute before stepping out with his other friends.
As he left, I stood there with a stupid grin on my face. I couldn't seem to stop smiling, and even H noticed it in which I slapped his shoulder after showing him the number. He reluctantly gave me the 20, and I realized I got a hot guy's number and 20 bucks so it was a pretty damn good day.
(A/N: Whew! They met! What did you think? It's just the beginning of their story. (: This chapter was extra long due to the meeting, most of the others won't be as long. I also made it longer due to delaying the update but here it is! Hope you enjoyed it!)
