Mikasa had only truly cried before Levi since he found her, she hasn't cried in front of anyone else like she did when it was just her and Levi in a room.

But now, Hanji had seen her cry and seen her completely terrified just a few months, a week after they'd all return from an expedition. Hanji had seen Mikasa completely terrified and hoped to never see it again. 

It started when Mikasa woke up in the middle of the night for a pee, not a nightmare like she use to be forcefully woken by. She was still learning if waking up from a deep sleep to pee was any better than waking up from a nightmare . Sure she enjoyed the not having nightmares but waking up from a warm bed to pee .. it was a form of torture in it's own way. 

But as Mikasa stepped into her own joint bathroom, she was met with something that scared her more than her time with her kidnappers. 

She knew Hanji was sleeping in her own bedroom tonight after she and Erwin had a small argument over something and both decided to sleep in their own rooms to calm down a little. 

This gave Mikasa the perfect time to run out of her new room, race down the stairs and storm into Hanji office knowing the door was always kept unlock before she hurried into Hanji bedroom. She woke the older women, crying her eyes and she's never seen Hanji as panicked as she was right then. 

Turned out, Mikasa was now a women. 

She gained her first period and she hated it. 

Hanji, bless the women had soon calmed down once her glasses were on and she understood what happening a little more clearer. Sure, she's been teaching Pidge and puberty, sex ed and the changes of a women. Mikasa new the basics just not the .. symptoms/signs of having a period because Hanji was going to wait until she was a little more grown up and was in a better mind state compared  to when she first arrived to the camp.  

Hanji cursed how quick time had moved and how she should quickly hinted at the clues. She'd have to fully teach Mikasa everything now.

Hanji took Mikasa into her bathroom, feeling bad the younger lady was stuck with a cold bath but it was the middle of the night. While leaving the girl to soak, Hanji worked on washing her nightdress before heading back to Mikasa room and grabbing her a new nightdress, undergarments and well, Hanji stopped at the storage room. Grabbing some rags that are left for female soldiers to freely take if or when needed since not all women could just got to town to buy new ones when their old ones are too worn, ripped or lost and it's not something they could just wait over. This way, they could just head over to any and all storage rooms on camp and take one from a certain wooden box that kept them safe and clean tucked inside. 

She returned to Mikasa, explaining how it all worked and what would be happening for the rest of her life. Promising to spend the day with her, to pull Mikasa from training just why she get's use to it and calms down over it all. 

Of course, when morning came and Levi unwillingly walked into Hanji bedroom to find both females sleeping on the double bed, he wasn't sure what to think of it. Mostly he was distracted by how mess and disgusting the play was .. trying to work out why Mikasa might willingly be sleeping in such a place. 

But he just shook his head and left to head out for his morning work out, figuring Mikasa won't be joining him for today whatever her reason was. 

Of course, as the day passed on, Hanji taught her everything she needed to know and fill her in on other bits she's yet to fully teach her just yet. Ordinally this was meant to be Carla job, teaching her over such things but with Mikasa only visiting her once a month making such topics had to speak over and well, Carla was waiting until Mikasa was becoming a women. 

For the rest of the week, Mikasa was on high alert as if the whole camp would find out what was going on with her and her body. She tried acting normal, unbothered over it but failing but that even Levi had to sit her down and ask her over what was going on with her. It ended up with Mikasa running away before speaking a single word making Levi track down Hanji and question her instead.

Did he regret learning it, Yes and No. 

He had a bit of second hand embarrassment from finding out but he knew it was a simple human function that no one had control over. He'd understand that why this may be a big thing for some it was also something not always welcomed. 

He just be a leaning post for Mikasa if she needed him or any help .. unless she needed a women touch then he'd sent Hanji her way instead. 

Two Weeks Later...

"I'm not saying I'll understand any of it since I was born a male and don't have to deal with such shitty things but if you need a rest or someone to excuse you from training. Just ask, your still young and don't have any reason to try and prove yourself" Levi awkwardly spoke as they walked around the camp, Levi making sure all the soldiers were behaving when most had leave the next day. 

"Can we make a code-word or something .. this is .. cringey" Mikasa whined back, hiding her face behind Adalwolf, she was clinging to her wolf most of the day since somehow, the rest of their small strange family had learnt that she had became a women. She's been earning congratulations or sweet words to sooth her. She was dying inside and just wanted to hide up. 

"Code word? Fine, we'll use a code word and that would be what we use when talking about .. that instead of using it's name" Levi sighed, running a hand through his hair and wanting to just jump into a titan mouth himself over this topic. 

"Hmm" Mikasa hummed, thinking over a code-word they could use that won't be obvious but also won't be troublesome if spoken about around camp. Titans, gear and anything training related couldn't be used otherwise they might get mixed up in misunderstandings. 

"Dose Adalwolf anything smart we could use?" Levi asked with a teasing raised eyebrow while Mikasa just tapped the teddy wolf to his arm with a pout on her lips. 

"Zhànshì" Mikasa spoke up, glancing to Levi who only raised his eyebrow even more over the word. 

"It means warrior" Mikasa explained after noticing Levi confusion before looking ahead once again, holding Adalwolf loosely in her arms.

"Deal, we'll stick to using Zhànshì as our code-word. If you any problems linked with Zhànshì than just say so and use the code-word than we won't have to say anymore" Levi muttered back and Mikasa gave a small nod in agreement. 

"Can you also teach me your glare, I want to scare the rest off whenever they try brining up Zhànshì around me again. It might be completely natural but doesn't mean I want it openly spoken away either" Mikasa huffed out as she glanced towards the older male beside her who chuckled. 

"I'm rather certain your own glare is enough" Levi smirked.
