A Few Days Later..

"For me?" Mikasa asked innocently, tilting her head to the side like a lost puppy while holding up the white shirt in her hands. 

"You'll need some uniform if your going to do day visits at the training corps and join in on the soldier training. Plus, if you want me and Mike to help train you around camp when we have free time, you'll need be in uniform too .. can't let other's think we're favouring you after all" Levi simply answered from behind his desk, a file in hand and glancing over to the sofa that held two sets of child size white jeans, a hand me down white shirt neatly folded beside the jeans while Mikasa held the second white hand me down shirt. A pair of brown child size boots tucked by the sofa and a brown jacket without any units symbols sewn on. 

"I'll do my part" Mikasa answered without thinking, giving a small salute but doing it the wrong way. Her voice much clearer now, a little low still and sometimes raspy but much better then before. 

"I'm sure you will and this way, you'll look like a little soldier in training too. I'll show you the basics to self defence and I'll also be giving you your first odm gear lesson this week. Mike will fill you in with the rest of soldier basic training and within a month, you'll be doing the morning training with fresh requests. Just .. don't push yourself. You have take a break when needed, your still young and have a chance to decide your own future" Levi calmly replied as he went back to reading over the file that needed his signature.

"Will Mike also teach me how to ride an horse and map reading?" Mikasa asked as she placed her two folded up shirts on top of her jeans. Moving to fold her jacket and add it to the pile for her to be able to carry the single pile into their shared room. 

"No, Moblit will teach you map reading and signals while Eld and Gunther from my squad offered to teach you horse riding. They'll also be letting you hang around them when both Hanji and Mike squads are getting a bit busy. It seems most of my squad wants to try and get along with you since you'll all be spending time together rather often" Levi answered as he placed the file down, signing his name where it was needed before adding it to the completed pile on the corner of his desk. 

"Makes sense but what happens if I don't get along with them very well. They're your squad, you'll be fighting beside them from now on. It would make issues between us all if I can't get along with them or a thick air grows between me and them" Mikasa mumbled out as she looked down to her shoes, her hands gripping at her dress a little as she knew it wouldn't be a good thing if she can't learn to live with all of Levi squad members. She's learn all four names and she's gave small nods in greetings but she's never tried getting close to them. She's as friendly as she can be but they've always kept a distance from her, she doesn't blame them but still .. it worried her a little.   

"I'm sure everything will work out just fine, one way or another. My squad is .. they're good people. I'm sure Eld and Gunther would take a shining towards you like you were their own baby sister.  Oluo might even try acting as a big brother towards you, in his own little way, but I'm sure he'll take a lighting to you. He just might show it in a strange way .. he's been biting his tongue more often it seems. Not sure what's he playing at but his skills when fighting titans aren't so bad" Levi commented with a shrug, placing his pen away and turning in his chair to look outside his window. 

"Hmm, I'm sure it will" Mikasa hummed in agreement, a tiny almost unnoticeable smile on her lips as she picked up her pile of hand me down clothes and boots. 

"Oh right! Make sure to hurry back over to my desk once you've placed those clothes away. There's something I need to do" Levi quickly spoke up, turning his head towards the younger girl as she walked towards their bedroom.

Giving a small nod before rushing off inside their room, the bedroom door being left open making him shake his head a little. He turned towards his desk, unlocking the bottom drawer and grabbing something he's been hiding up since yesterday. His eyes glancing to the top drawer, a frown on his lips as thought over all the bandages placed inside already. It's the one drawer that's always kept locked around Mikasa, he's only opened it the once and she was sleeping during that. 

He quickly placed the object in his lap, keeping his legs hidden under the table as he heard her footsteps start to return to his office. Watching as she closed the bedroom door before walking up, a skip in her step clearly happy over the new clothes that she'd be able to use during her training. 

"What do you need, Levi?" Mikasa asked, her voice becoming a much normal sound to his ears but somehow still sounding as magical as the first time he heard it.

He wouldn't say he felt like a proud father over having her speak freely and having her voice slowly heal since he didn't. He didn't feel any form of parental or sibling love towards her compared to how his comrades felt towards her.

He just felt ... something. 

"Close your eyes and hold our your hands" Levi simply ordered as she stood beside his desk, staring at him with curious eyes. 

"Your not going to pass me the trash can again .. are you? Just because we're rooming together doesn't mean I'm your personal cleaning lady" Mikasa stated back, lifting an eyebrow and not fully trusting him after he'd dump the filled up trash can in her hands. And, she hasn't forgotten the laundry basket incident either.

"I'm not going to dump any form of cleaning onto you ... for now at last" Levi sighed, rolling his eyes over her questioning him like this.

"Nor are you going to dump me on Hanji by asking me to pass on a certain file or report that got placed on your desk by mistake. I won't fall for that again, she's placed an extra lock on her door again .. I will jump out of the window" Mikasa shot back, not even trying to raise her arms until she's made sure a trap wasn't laying in wait for her.

"Just close your bloody already and hold our your hands or I'll give up being nice" Levi snapped back in annoyance, a glare in his eyes as he looked to the younger girl who dared seemed amused over his outbreak. 

"Being nice, how scary. Maybe it really is the end of the world for us" Mikasa giggled as she closed her eyes, lifting her hands and waiting for Levi next move. A small amused smile never leaving her lips and she cheekily wiggled her fingers.

Levi just let out a heavy sight, rethinking it if it was too late to dump her at an orphanage or on the jaegers. Maybe pass her on to Hanji for a day or two and see if that'd wipe off the amused look on her face for some time.

But still, he'd have to admit .. silently of course, that he was enjoying having her be a little cheeky. She was stubborn, he knew that much since day one but it was nice to see that she has a bite of a bite to her bark.

Made passing the time much quicker after being stuck with scared shitless soldiers most days.  

But he just let a tiny smile reach his lips before placing the object in her hands and noticing her tense slightly before her fingers slightly wrapped around the object and relaxing again. He watched her eyes open before growing wide in surprise. Watching as she stared down at the wolf teddy, her hands gently wrapping around the sofa and fluffy fur and aww filling her eyes.

"Shadis will be expecting you to pull your own weight when you spend a day at the training course. He'd expect you to keep up with the rest of the class otherwise he won't let you come anymore. That means, you won't be able to act friendly with Eren and Armin as you did before hand. You'll get to see them and spend time with them during your breaks but, all three of you will be busy training together. This way, you'll have a friend around no matter the time of day. If you need someone, this little guy will be here" Levi mumbled out, crossing his arms over his chest and watching her stare at the glass eyes of the wolf teddy. 

"T-Thank you" Mikasa squeaked out, her eyes a little tearful before she rubbed her cheek into the wolf, enjoying the feel of it's fur on her skin.

"No more crying to me over being alone, if I'm here or not, you'll have that little guy with you. You won't ever be alone now but he's going to need a name" Levi muttered out, crossing his left leg over his right and leaning forward in his chair a little. 

"Adalwolf" Mikasa whispered out as she held the wolf teddy at chest level before glancing out the window beside them.

"Adalwolf" Levi repeated as he raised an eyebrow.

"Adalwolf is his name, he's one of us now. We're a pack, no longer lonely wolves" Mikasa answered with a happy nod and Levi just gave an agreeing nod.  

"I guess being lone wolves aren't really our thing deep down, not like it was for Kenny but then again, he'd often have a distance look too. I'm sure he'd lost his own pack before me" Levi mindlessly mumbled out as he looked out the window, seeing something that Mikasa couldn't making her just stare at him in wonder.
