Our story begins in the evening of August 1997 inside the dearly loved Buckingham Palace where maidservants were preparing the young children of Wales for their daily night routine.

As Princess Lucy groomed her sleek blonde hair her maid, Audrey, poked her brunette head through the door finding Lucy still brushing her hair. "Princes Lucy, you know it is time for bed." She lectured the young princess in her bossy mannered voice.

"You know it's time for bed" Lucy mimicked under her breath as she tucked herself under her crepe silky sheets turning off the lamp while Audrey took one last look at the princess before shutting the door behind her.

Once Lucy heard the door close she pounced out of bed quickly putting on her slippers laid by her bed before running to the door. As she opened the large door the only noise heard in the large hallway was the squeak of the loud door. Looking in both directions Lucy sneaked out of the door searching one last time for a maid scanning the hallway.

Once there was no sign of anyone Lucy hustled down the hallway in the direction of her eldest brother,Williams, room all the way at the end of the hallway.

As she opened the door she found her two siblings engaged in a conversation before Lucy jumped onto the huge bed giggling as her other brother,Harry, swept his arms around the young princesses neck pulling her down on the bed.

"Harry, let me go!" She yelled in between giggles as William joined in messing up his younger sisters nice kept hair which took minutes to do.

"Not unless you say Harry's the best!" Harry challenged as he pinned her down on the bed as she continued to laugh.

"Alright, HARRY'S THE BEST!" She hollered right before Harry helped her up into a sitting position in between her two older brothers.

"Will, when's Mom coming home?" Lucy questioned her brother who wrapped his arm around his sister.

"In just 2 days Lu are you excited?!" William asked the eager princess who had a very strong bond with their mother.

"I'm so excited. That means things will be back to normal around here and we can beg her to bring us to McDonald's!" Lucy told her brothers with excitement.

"I know I'm dying for a regular hamburger around here that doesn't have premium meat." Harry said making both his sibling chuckle.

"I know you too can't wait for her to return but you have to remember she needs a vacation too." William told them as they nodded their heads in agreement.

"Well I hope 2 days doesn't feel like an eternity." Lucy said as William comforted her by rubbing her back.

Little did they know that at the end of the month their mother would die in a car accident in Paris leaving her children to live with their father and having to stand behind their mothers casket and watch as the people of England mourned with them.
