December 1997

Furiously, the eight-year-old Princess of Wales rubbed her fingers against her nose. Sighing, she stared out the window as raindrops fiercely hit the window. Aside from her sat her maid preparing her a delightful cup of tea.

"If you hadn't gone in the snow without your mittens on, you wouldn't have this cold of yours." Her maiden reprimanded Lucy while pouring the steaming hot cup of tea.

"What else would I have done after I got finished with my lessons?" Lucy argued forcefully taking the China teacup as the maid glared at her with her beady brown eyes.

"Come up to your chamber and study for your exams this winter." The maid addressed her as she swiftly got up and locked eyes with the princess.

"Your father has requested that you stay inside until your temperature has returned back to normal. Until then I will be seeing you at meals and time checks." After she finished she gathered her sterling sliver tray and left the room leaving the princess alone to drink her tea.

"I don't even need to study." Lucy murmured under her breath before a car horn interrupted her thoughts. Seconds later, Lucy jumped out of bed and dashed to the window scanning the entrance of the castle for the visitor.

Once Lucy glimpsed at the tall figure, right away she recognized her brother, William, in a sky blue polo shirt with khaki pants.

"Thank goodness!" Lucy exclaimed running out of bed gathering her nightgown as she ran to the door before sprinting down the hallway filled with maids chuckling at the young princesses surprise.

Passing by Harry's room Lucy banged on the door hearing her brothers sigh coming from inside the room. "What is it Lucy? I was taking a kip." He asked her rubbing his eyes as he woke up.

"Will's back from Eton!" She shrieked as Harry pressed his hands to his ears while squinting his eyes from his sisters excitement.

"Would you calm down?" Harry asked her as she heard the palace door shut and men's voices echoing the halls.

Not missing a second of seeing her oldest brother Lucy sprinted to the entrance of the castle and ran into Williams arms.

"Lucy, you are supposed to be resting." Charles, her father, told the princess while William wrapped his arms around her petite body.

"I'm fine, Dad." Lucy told him letting her hands examine her body showing that she looked fine. William then lifted his little sister up and put her on top of his broad shoulders.

Charles couldn't help but laugh at the sight of his two children having fun being together after being apart for awhile now.

"Well, you came just in time for tea." Charles told his son who gave a look of pleasure since he had been in the car for quite awhile.

"Great, I'm starved." William told his father giving his sister a playful look as they walked to the living room and sat on the cream couch.

"How was Eton?!" Lucy asked with her contagious smile spreading across her face as William chuckled at the sight of his very excited sister.

"Wonderful, everyone treats me as a normal school boy and not like the next king." William told them chuckling while a maid poured both him and Charles a cup.

"That's great William I'm happy your doing well there." Charles told him with a grin before Harry came in looking as if he had just woken up from a deep sleep.

"Look, it's sleeping beauty!" William exclaimed earning laughs from the whole family as Harry mocked him before taking a seat on the other couch with Charles.

"You can blame Lucy for that." Harry mumbled eyeing Lucy as she innocently wiped her nose with a handkerchief.

"Thank you." Charles told the maid once she brought all the scones, finger sandwiches, and cakes out on a floral 3 tier serving tray.

"What's the plan for tomorrow?" Harry asked his father as he plopped a scone with jam in his mouth.

"Tomorrow's a free day for you all until 5 o' clock once we go take a nature walk around the castle."
Charles told his children earning groans from each child.

"Or we can take a walk all day?" Charles asked them as they all disagreed and told him that tomorrow was fine.

"That's what I thought." Charles said chuckling before getting up and wiping off his lap before fixing his eyes on each of his children.

"Now I expect to see you all at dinner time freshened up and respected tonight. Are we clear?"

"Yes Father." Each child chorused as he smiled and nodded his head while leaving the room. Lucy eyes went huge trying to make the room feel less tense.

"Well, I will see you two at dinner I'm going to go jump in the shower and try to feel more comfortable for once in my life." William told his two younger siblings leaving the room.

"I got an idea." Harry told his sister with a mischievous look on his face earning a smile from his sister. "How about we prank Will?"

"Harry, we haven't done that since Dad grounded us for 2 weeks." Lucy said crossing her arms in her lap giving her brother a disapproving look.

"Come on Luce it'll be fun!" Harry encouraged her making his sister roll her eyes as Harry gave her a puppy dog face.

"Oh all right!" Lucy told him knowing Harry wouldn't have let her not join in on the fun in pranking their older brother.

"Okay, so the plan is that we're going to put baby powder in William's blow dryer once he's in the shower." Harry told his sister as she shook her head.

"Harry, why would there be baby powder in the castle?" Lucy questioned him.

"I've had some from a friend that did this prank with me on his sibling a while back. I've hidden it in one of my drawers." Harry told his sister who was surprised that he had kept it hidden from the housemaid.

"Alright, but we better go now since William is probably going to get freshened up now." Lucy informed him making them quickly get up from the couch and run down the hallways.

"All right you go wait by Will's door why I go grab it." Harry stated as Lucy watched him run to his room a couple bedrooms down from Williams and hers.

Minutes past and Lucy slouched on the doorframe saw Harry running from his to her with baking soda behind his back.

"All right, so the plan is that we go in quietly and find his blow dryer and quickly pour it in and just put it back where it was."

"Okay, sounds easy enough!" Lucy informed as Harry nodded before opening Williams door. Once Harry looked around he signaled Lucy and walked in further. As they made their way further into the room they heard the shower.

"Okay, just go run in and do what I told you." Harry told her as he gave her the powder. Lucy knowing her way around his room quickly huddled into the bathroom and spotted his blow dryer already set up on the counter next to his towel and toothbrush.

Quickly making sure that he was still in the shower she looked to her right to see if the door was still closed. Once she saw it was she lifted up the blow dryer and poured the powder in. Once she put a decent amount in she ran back to the door where Harry stood observing her every move.

"Great job!" Harry told her ruffling her hair as she smiled ear to ear awaiting to see Williams reaction.

Once William had got out of the shower and brushed his teeth both Harry and Lucy saw him comb his hair before turning on his blow dryer pointing it at the side of his hair. But as soon as he turned it on white powder covered his blonde hair leaving him to look as if he was a ghost.

Harry and Lucy could g contain their laughter and roared with laughter as William quickly ran out of the bathroom to where the laughter was and screamed at the two of them, "I'm going to kill you two!"

"Not if you can't catch us!" Lucy shouted running with Harry close behind her to their bedrooms where they rested before dinner and their death.
