"U...Uzumaki Naruto...?" Danzo stuttered in disbelief. The child in front of him is none other than the Nine-tailed Jinchuuriki. Without thinking, Danzo immediately sprang into action, removing his bandages and make hand seals for one of his Wind Jutsus.

Naruto stood calmly as Danzo sprinted towards him. He unsheathed Uzukagi, resting it on his shoulder. Just as Danzo finishes his hand seals and shout "Futon: Shinku Taigyoku" (Wind style: Vacuum Bomb), Naruto Hiraishin behind Danzo as he had placed a seal on the man previously, allowing him to dodge the attack and swiftly cut off Danzo's right artificial arm, before its' bandages were completely removed, disabling Danzo's ability to use Izanagi and Kotoamatsukami. The two most powerful technique in Danzo' possession. Well, acquired techniques. But lets' not dwell on that since we all know how it happened.

Since Naruto knew about it, credit to Sasuke, he quickly severed Danzo's right artificial arm that held several Sharingans that enable Danzo to extend the time he could use the techniques for up to 10 minutes. Not to mention that it costs a great amount of chakra for the man to use them. Compared to Naruto who is a chakra monster, possessing s-ranked level ninjutsus in his arsenal, they were a completely bad match. Naruto defeated Kaguya Otsusuki for crying out loud, so Danzo is cakewalk for him.

But being Hokage, and especially after Orochimaru's betrayal, Naruto knew not to underestimate his opponents and let his guard down. In order to prevent the same miserable future that he and his best friends had been through, he would cut down or address the problem from its root (pun intended). In this case, reducing Danzo's combat ability and resistance. Honestly, he just wanted to talk. Naruto had wanted to save as many people he knew. Heck, he even planned to make peace with the Akatsuki. If Danzo is a lost case, then he might really have to consider killing him, for the sake of the future.

Danzo screamed in anguish as he lost his arm. In a split of a second, he had lost his long drawn investment in his gain of power. Even as he did, he did not stop assaulting Naruto with his taijutsu and ninjutsu, in which Naruto seemingly had no trouble countering and dodging with his ungodly speed, occasionally dealing cuts and bruises on the older man with his sword, heavy punches and kicks eventually wearing the older man down.

Since Naruto's speed and occasional use of Hiraishin rendered Danzo's Ninjutsu attacks to be useless (dodged every time), Danzo desperately contend the blonde in a battle of taijutsu. But even then, Danzo felt himself completely overwhelmed. And considering that Naruto was not even in sage mode, not to mention Kyuubi mode or Sage of Six Path mode, their strength is disparately clear.

By the end of it, Danzo was left breathless and weak while Naruto concluded he had a good warm up. Danzo was extremely frustrated and angry that he had lost to the Jinchuuriki brat which he was sure he had heard to be a hyperactive dumb blonde. Now, he had been enlightened that the child was more than he lets on. Danzo had naturally placed several members of his ROOTs to keep watch on the Kyuubi's host, but the reports that he had read completely contradict with the very child before him. Danzo had not been able to secretly place a self-cursing seal on the blonde in his many attempts to turn the tide. Little did he know, that the blob of sunshine that he had been spying on had all been mere clones. With Naruto's great sensory skills and wide one-man spy network, no one can best him and secretly spy on him without his notice. In fact, it had been the other way around, since Naruto had been spying on them instead in various shapes and sizes.

Danzo could not accept his situation. Left with no other options, he gritted his teeth as he prepared himself to use the Reverse Four Symbol Seal, hoping to bring along the Jinchuuriki with him to death. Naruto wouldn't let him however, as he noticed and immediately released the constraint seal he had placed on Danzo's back early in the game which effectively impinge the older man's movement.

"Hold your horses, Danzo-san~ While I sure had fun with our little fight, you can't go suicide on me. You haven't even heard my propositions yet~," Naruto smiled playfully as he said. Danzo clenched his teeth as he tried to move to no avail. He closed his eyes as he let his tired body relaxed, succumbed to the constraint seal.

"I understand, speak as you wish," Danzo calmly replied, implying his submission and admitted his defeat, but the cold hard glare never left his face as he awaits Naruto's next words.

"That's more like it!" Naruto chirped ignoring the glare. What? he was used to those hateful glares anyways. Naruto then held up his fingers for Danzo to see. Danzo narrowed his eyes in suspicion. His first guess, was that the boy had been possessed and completely taken over by the Kyuubi. He had extreme doubt that the boy was capable off finding out about ROOT and foolishly moved to rid of them. But as Danzo look into Naruto's sparking blue eyes, he knew that it was all him. Not to mention the other two children that raided their base with him. The blonde had comrades that follows his leads.

Seeing his defeated state, he also had to admit the blonde was not someone to mess with. ROOT was done for and his fate was left in the child's hands. The only question left in Danzo's mind was...just who is Naruto? Danzo's interest in the boy peaked and he couldn't help but want to uncover the truth that lies behind the Jinchuuriki. The mere presence of the child screams power and authority that commends respect and obedience. Danzo couldn't help but wonder...His thoughts were broken when Naruto spoke.

"One...you die...," Naruto stated bluntly and closed his thumb for the count. "But I really would prefer you to live and atone for your sins, that would be your second," He revealed with a kind tone to his voice. Danzo felt his body stiffened more than it already was. "What is this boy saying?" He thought in disbelief, his eyes widen. Seeing the older man's expression, Naruto chuckled. "I mean what I said, you know?" Naruto eye smiled.

"Of course, there are many conditions tied to the second choice. I can't leave you without supervision after all, had too much experience," Naruto continued as he reminisced Orochimaru's betrayal. Naruto moved closer to Danzo and looked at the older man in the eyes in all seriousness. Being the receiving end of such an intense stare, Danzo unconsciously gulped. His breathing quickens in anxiety and cold sweat trickled down his old wrinkly face.

He wanted to know...who Naruto really is. An enigma...an unknown. Would the blonde in front of him be a threat to Konoha? No...would the boy that hosted the nine-tailed demon be the savior of Konoha? Danzo couldn't believe it himself, but he had the gut feeling that it is the latter. An unfamiliar feeling surged through him...faith. Even as he had not seen all that Naruto is...every fiber in his being screamed at him that the blonde would be the one to achieve true peace to the world. One that he had strive on his own regardless of the method. Believing that with him at the peak, he would be able to bend the world to his will, to the peace that he dreamed of.

Danzo knew however, that the child before him won't let him continue in his ways. The child determined blue eyes that pierces through his soul tells him that the blonde knew everything there is to know about him, and won't stop at anything to change him. As if he had seen the future himself. Danzo inwardly smiled. He either had to die...or live and atone for his past. As the stubborn person that he was, he would rather die than submit to anyone, not even Hiruzen, much less a child. But Danzo wanted to witness it. He wants to see just where and how far the blonde will take him. His ROOT was already done for and he had lost the power that he so much invested with the sacrifice of many innocents. The choice was obvious. And so, to that outstretched hand that reached towards him...

*silence*

"..." Danzo.

"..." Naruto.

"...I can't move," Danzo deadpanned.

"Oh...right..." Naruto realized, retract his outstretched hand then brought it up to sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. His face tinted pink with embarrassment. Danzo inwardly marveled at how cute Naruto looked. Then he mentally slapped himself for such thoughts. Disbelief filled his mind at how much the blonde was already influencing him.

Naruto grinned then placed a hand on Danzo's shoulder.

"Well, since you have decided, lets clear things up!" Naruto exclaimed enthusiastically and as soon as he said it, they vanished from the clearing, leaving battle remnants, as Naruto teleport them back to Konoha.
