Ending C

(I decided to not waste the time of anyone that still wanted to see the final ending. The fight will be posted after this chapter since it's only halfway done. This message will be removed once I finally complete the missing chapter. Sorry for the inconvenience AND also the long wait because SERIOUSLY, I can't get over my own incompetence for taking around 5 months to update something on this book.)

Y/N: ...

Everything felt like a distant dream, his mind foggy and his body sluggish. Finding himself laying on his knees looking at the floor, he blinked twice to confirm that what he was seeing was real before looking up. The last thing he could bring himself to remember was how he lashed out at the poor girl who did nothing but try her best to help him.

Come to think of it, why was he angry at her? The emotions he felt once his sight witnessed the destruction of his hard labor, he could not remember it, it was like a weight was lifted from his shoulders. Freed from the feelings he bottled up, his guilt was nothing but a distant mirage that one would toss into the back of their head.

Y/N's mind: Crap, Koishi-!

In a hurry, he looked up and saw the youkai sitting on the floor, wearing her usual outfit and her hat lowered to cover her face, which was a blessing for the one wearing it. Hiding herself behind the object on top of her head, she could calmly recover her breath, exhausted from the duel that unfolded in this accursed prison. However, now, this place was pulling out its last breath, putting itself out of the course. Even if one librarian remained, it did not want to involve itself any further with this place known as Gensokyo.

Y/N: ...Koishi, are you alright?

Not longer able to find a reason to bear anger at her, worry took over and pulled him on his feet. To his surprise, he was no longer wearing the dark suit that he had before everything became nothing but a blurry echo but rather an outfit that he hadn't worn in quite a while.

Indeed, he was now wearing a dark trenchcoat with his regular uniform composed of a single and main color underneath it, white with different shades, giving an almost greyish tone at best. The last time he could remember ever wearing said outfit was when he fought against the girl with short green hair sitting in front of him for the first time, a while ago.

Shaking that thought off, he gathered his shaking will and marched closer to the guest entering this place. Still sitting down, her eyes did not meet the man's but her third eye did not follow said pattern, looking up at him. With it open due to his efforts to help her, his mind was forced into her head, not like it was an unpleasant feeling anymore, her relunctance towards it long erased.

"Is she alright?", those were the words that she could hear within her own mind, from someone outside of it.

Koishi: Mister Y/N?

Hesitantly asking, she rose her head, revealing a fearful look to the one standing. Taken aback slightly by it, his eyebrows lowered, able to gather that he did something for her to be in this state. Although he couldn't remember exactly what, it didn't matter, he had that much intuition.

Y/N: I'm... I'm sorry for yelling at you, you didn't need to hear that.

Her face flushed, she shook one of her hands to dismiss his excuse with an awkward expression.

Koishi: It's fine! It wasn't that bad, I also caused this after all.

Pushing the apology away from herself, she got up on her own feet and faced the final librarian fully. The confrontation ended with her victory of course or else she would be nothing more than pages of a book, just like the many victims who arrived here before her. Coming out of the battle as the winner for once did not give her the same joy that she would half-heartedly gain when winning a Danmaku battle.

She did something for the sake of someone else, something that most youkai would not do, especially for a human of all people, the thing they should hunt, devour and terrorize. In the end, maybe his gloomy look scared her off the idea in the first place? She couldn't tell anymore.

Y/N: You tried to convince me out of that idea of mine, the blame goes back on me for not listening to your arguments.

Solemnly responding, his eyes darted off to the circle on the floor, the materials now nothing that could be salvaged and truth be told: he did not have the will to go through everything again, not after everything that happened. If he had to take the lives of even more people to try again, then he would rather stop himself.

Koishi: So you're giving up?

Questioning him, she tilted her head to the side and observed his reaction with her undivided attention. Remembering that she could now read his mind like any books in this horrible place, he nodded silently, the bags under his eyes amplifying said quietness. Seeing him resign himself and abandon his previous goal, the satori's smile grew large before she moved her arms up, like she was launching confetti into the air.

Y/N: You seem awfully happy about that.

Koishi: Hm? Am I? It's hard for me to tell.

Of course, she was not going to mention the ordeal she went through to push her goal forward, to surpass all his suppressed feelings towards his life within the library and finally erase them with the assistance of the librarians who fought by her side. Now that it was all over, she had one good reason to enjoy her success.

...If only it was as nice as she would have imagined it.

Y/N: I guess it's the end of the road for me.

Heaving a sigh, he moved his hands deep in the pockets of the coat around his clothes, admitting defeat for the final time. Not understanding the meaning of his words, she tried to make him elaborate but a mere sentence brought her to silence.

Y/N: That "Yukari" is on her way to eliminate the one who brought the end of the guests who entered here.

Koishi: ...What?

Her words stuck in her throat, her eyes widened at the revelation, a truth that he concealed from her ears. The implications of having HER of all people come here was a disastrous situation AT BEST.

Yet, he did not fear for the outcome, his mind was at ease. After causing pain to many people, he simply took it as divine punishment. They took the life of his friends, he took their lives in return and it made him realize that fate did not appreciate humans- No, human would be a stretch for him, he really was a parasite that held onto life for too long.

Now that his false courage, his cowardice perished in that duel between the librarians and one of the Komeiji sisters against him, his desperate wish to survive for the sake of his goal also died out like a flame.

Koishi: We... We have to do something-

Y/N: We already are Koishi, we already are.

The way he spoke to her was like a comforting grandparent on his deathbed, which wasn't that far off considering that the grim reaper was arriving at a fast pace. Seeing the lack of fright, her fears subsided temporarely.

Koishi: N-No, they might kill you!

Y/N: Wouldn't that be a nice thing for them? The youkais seem to be the strong one in the food chain, they would be happy to get rid of one opposing it.

Pulling out of his outfit a familiar object that she saw once before, he lit it up and took a deep breath of smoke, celebrating his last moments before retribution fell upon him. Exhaling the foreign body from his lungs, he averted his gaze to the girl, his exhausted eyes begging for the deep slumber awaiting everyone.

Y/N: But at least... I won't die with regrets. I may have failed to save many of my friends but in the end, I helped one who needed it more than anyone else.

Koishi: Y/N...

Her heart sinking into her body, her emotions were flaring up from inside, a newly discovered feeling after awakening her third eye in so long. She wanted to do something, anything to make the outcome different but no matter what she could think off, the future couldn't be changed anymore, it was the final destination of this story.

Y/N: Hey Koishi.

Calling her name, he leaned against the nearest bookshelf and remained focused on the door that would soon open.

Y/N: No matter what people call you, no matter how much they fear you for who you are, you shouldn't hide yourself under a mask, it only makes it worse for the people around you.

Koishi: Speaking from experience mister Y/N?

Y/N: ...I suppose so, I can't tell anymore.

His voice was reaching a low point, reminiscing about past memories. Only a few seconds later, he returned from his travel and crushed the cigaret in the palm of his hand before dropping it on the floor of this prison that deserved nothing more than to be stained by every evil that mankind could ever create.

Y/N: I guess I always had troubles about others' opinion of me, just like you perhaps. However, I had friends who supported me, allowing me to keep a straight path... until it was only just me.

Koishi: ...I don't have many friends, they forget about me.

Y/N: Wonder if them forgetting about you is worse than seeing them dead because of you?

In that sense, she couldn't push an opinion forward because in both cases, she would have to discredit the pain of someone. She didn't want to do so and neither did he, he was kind enough to simply let the question fly away.

Then, the door opened, the end of the tale.

Y/N: Greetings guests.

Welcoming the group with a smile, he recognized the witch with her new dress, sharply glaring at him. Normally, he would have replied with ferocity for the sake of his survival but now? He had no intention of running away, nor fight, he was going to end this by himself. Sure, they'll take the credit in the eyes of everyone, to boast their reputations and yada yada but for him, it would end with a victory on his side.

He would win by finally accepting defeat, it was a win-win for both teams.

Yukari: ...So this is the library.

She did not look away from the man but that comment slipped out of her lips, it was her first time stepping inside after all. Marisa, the one who escaped from this place, watched the one who participated in the death of the shrine maiden.

Y/N: ...

Yet, he did not arbor animosity towards her, he was looking at the gap youkai with a serene stance.

Yukari: No need to guess about the mastermind of this little incident, am I wrong?

She finally talked to the man in front of her, to which he shrugged.

Y/N: Who knows. If you want to know who created this place then I have no idea either, they abandoned us here.

With no weapon, he kept his hands in his pockets and marched closer to the group of 5. All on guard with the exception of the insightful one, it did not bring any aggressive response from the target. From what the "ordinary" magician said, she would have expected him to already be waiting for them with an army, or powerful individuals to take them on, like many before who caused incidents in the past.

Y/N: I don't plan on fighting, there's no point after all.

Marisa: Ze? Are you mocking us?

Y/N: ...No, just giving up. I have no reason to go on with what I was doing so, I gave up.

Like a magic trick, he pulled out a book from within the coat and revealed it to the group. On it, a known name was inscribed on it.

"Reimu Hakurei"

Y/N: You came here for her right?

He asked but he already knew the answer in the back of his head, it was rather obvious.

Yukari: ...

Kasen: This can't be so easy, what are you planning?

Y/N: My final moments alive, quite a small agenda.

Like that, he tossed the important piece to the witch and saw her catching it in a panic, not wishing to let go of her friend now that she was holding her. With nothing more to offer, he placed back his now free hand into its designated pocket while his gaze shifted to the powerful youkai staring back.

Y/N: I gave you what you wanted. Do your part and finish me off, that's probably what you were here for anyway.

...Silence reigned the atmosphere after that statement was dropped. Nobody moving an inch, the first one to break that ice was none other than the woman of boundaries, who stepped closer to the man. Instantly, new footsteps echoed in the large place along with a new voice.

Koishi: Please don't die!

Yelling out of desperation, she clung onto the librarian with all her might, burrowing her face into his clothes. Shocked by the sudden charge, he positioned himself and placed his hands on her shoulders.

Marisa: Heh? The satori's here?

Ran: What should we do lady Yakumo?

Yukari: ...

No answers from her part.

Y/N: Koishi?

Koishi: No, I don't want this to happen! I don't want to! I don't want to lose another friend again!

Y/N: ...

She was throwing a tantrum like a child, which made the situation more awkward than it should. Everyone in the room knew about her antics, her "specialties" to some extend so it was understandable that she would be like that but it didn't explain that third eye of hers being opened. Yakumo's keen observation noted that to the side.

Y/N: I know that it's hard to leave but it had to happen someday, there was no way I was going to survive anyway, whether from my own hands or theirs.

His plan ending as a failure, it would be their hands. Shaking her head, she dug her fingernails into his coat like her life depended on it, not budging at all. Turning around, she addressed those who came to reap what she gained from this adventure.

Koishi: I won't let you take my friend, not after all this!

Kasen: Koishi Komeiji... what an odd reaction.

They weren't used to see an expression filled with life on her, it was an alien concept to all of them. The awakening of her consciousness also brought forth a variety of feelings that she had forgotten, all flooding back to her at the end. Denying the outcome, she was ready to fight a losing battle to make her point clear.

Y/N: Koishi, please stop.

He, who had already given up, begged her to let him go. Shaking her head once more, she refused his departure, not wishing to lose the one who helped her with her problems. Before, she would have been content with someone who could remember her at all but now that her eye was opened, more was pushed into her brain.

Koishi: Please, I don't want to lose someone!

A warm liquid in the corner of her eyes, it was her turn to beg. If she could, she would have dropped on her knee to face them but it would also mean letting go of the man and that was the last thing she wanted to do right now. Feeling the sincerity from a mile away, it did not change the horrible deeds the man has done inside this place, nothing could forgive his actions that he himself admitted.

His only way to be forgiven was to be eliminated, he only saw that ending as true redemption after all he did. He was in no position to bargain for a middle ground and one of the members of the team solving the incident had a grudge against him for said actions.

Yukari: ...

The corner of lips curved upwards at the sight.

Y/N: Something funny?

With a monotone voice, he dropped a remark about her shift of mood, lightly annoyed by the fact that she was taking his own surrender lightly. After all, he was THE monster that caused SO much trouble, the bad guy that they were looking for. Surely, they would have taken him more seriously than that but no, nothing of that sort.

I guess in the end, he would only be ridiculed by those stronger than him, the youkais. He wanted to be angry at that but at the same time, they had the rights to brag, they were the strong ones, he couldn't fare against them in the slightest. The only reason he won so far was because of his allies or the library supporting him and both of them were gone, he had nothing.

A nobody that dies with nothing, quite funny when you put it like that.

Yukari: Perhaps.

Ran: Lady Yakumo?

The woman behind her raised an eyebrow, not knowing whether to be on guard or not since her master was completely at ease. The others must have sensed the shift and followed suit. All hostilities dropped, the mood seemed to go in a calmer direction.

Then, her grand mind formulated a rather enticing and quite possibly profitable exchange from an incident such as this one. Her smirk growing, she clapped her hands together and feigned innocence, which was as useful as a bucket with a hole at the bottom of it.

Yukari: Y/N right? That is your name?

Y/N: ...

He nodded back, confirming her question. With a slightly raised hand, she continued her questions with a rather simple one.

Yukari: Do you truly want to die?

Y/N: ...

At that question, he pondered. Sure, his mind was empty, his emotions erased from his body after the confrontation that he could not remember against Koishi Komeiji but a certain part of him still whispered about how unfair the situation was. He was forced to do this job or else he would die, why would he have to pay the price of someone else's doing? Was the correct path to simply let himself die from the very start?

However, the fury he could easily muster in the past dwindled out to the point of simply being a mere speck in his mind. He could not forgive them so easily for what they did but now, that blind rage would no longer haunt his thoughts and decisions.

Y/N: If that is needed of me then yes.

Was he still afraid of death? Of course, a phobia doesn't vanish in one day but his regrets could no longer pull his strings and force him to commit horrible decisions in the sake of "survival". Bracing the ending he deserved, he looked down at the small girl clinging to him still. Placing his head on her hat, he calmed her down while awaiting his judgement.

The final penalty deserved for the worst of the worst. It would be a one-way trip to a place where his presence would no longer matter, vanish from this world once and for all and finally meet the ones he desperately tried to revive. That, in itself, would be a pleasant ending.

....

Yukari: Then you're coming with us, I have a proposition for you along with some informations.

Y/N & Koishi: ...What?

Just like that, his planned ending did not come. Still needed by the gap youkai, he followed her demand and all of them stepped outside of the library. With no librarians inside anymore, the doors locked themselves in wait for his return.

Both the satori and the "human" glanced at each other, bewildered by the turn of events. Without even knowing it, they were now playing in the woman's hands, a field that she knew extremely well.

...

...

In the end, no news of this incident came out to the population of Gensokyo, it was a small affair that was solved in the darkness of everyone's knowledge. There was no need to worry them about something that was already solved, with the culprit already punished for his deeds. Defeated not by the one sent to stop him but instead the one who helped him, the one who called him a friend.

The curtain fell onto the event but the results still remained. While some people were still trapped inside their own books, it was a rather easy task for the folks of Gensokyo to solve and soon enough, familiar faces returned from their graves and returned to their places, going back to their daily lives.

As for the culprit? The punishment was handed to him, not like he could have gotten away with his actions unscathed but with how eager he was willing to end his own life for the sake of repentance, his expectation were more than a little destroyed. Forced to oblige with her proposition, he agreed and decided to help her with a certain little thing in exchange for his forgiveness.

Y/N: *Sigh*

Heaving a breath, he pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes to recuperate from the conversation he had with the woman. Of course, the demand was not something impossible for him to do, it was even rather simple but it still made him tired just thinking about it.

Koishi: What did she say?

Waiting impatiently for his return, she practically threw herself at him once he did, wanting to hear the news as well. Rolling his eyes, he gave her a smile and placed a hand in her hair before ruffling it a little.

Y/N: I just have to follow her requests from time to time, let's leave it at that.

Koishi: ?

Tilting her head quizzically, interrogation marks popped above her head as well. A week fully passed after the final day of this incident, when the man was caught for his actions against Gensokyo. During that time, he was placed under constant surveillance and only today, was he given the choice to accept the offer given from the youkai of boundaries.

Of course, it also came with its drawbacks as well.

Y/N: I'm still not allowed alone for the time being, safety and all. The gap youkai herself is keeping an eye on me so that I don't do anything behind her back.

It was still better than being trapped in a room with someone watching you constantly, that was his thoughts. Nodding in acceptance, Koishi smiled back and grabbed the man's arm before pulling him away from the residence. Not expecting that, he was dragged along for the ride and found his feet floating in the air.

Y/N: H-Hey, I can't fly you know! What if you dropped me?

Like mentioned before, a phobia does not disappear in one day, only after many efforts that its influence weakens. Turning her head to look at him, she proudly gave him a beaming expression, one that he could hardly refute due to how rare it was for him. Of course, her third eyes opened allowed him to see such a sight more often but after everything that happened, she was stressed out of her mind for quite some time.

Koishi: Here we are!

Exclaiming boldly, she rose her sleeves to the sky and revealed the surprise she was keeping for the librarian. Yes, even after everything that happened, he couldn't escape from the fact that he was a librarian in the past.

However, now that the library's power and influence was gone, many things were different. One thing in particular was Marisa Kirisame's case, her emotions calming down and finally losing their physical appearance of the dress and swords. Of course, its mark on her being would always remain but no longer be called upon without the witch focusing her emotions strongly enough for it to emerge. While it could have been a disadvantage, the magician did not care in the slightest, she much prefered sticking to her shining stars and lasers than swords.

A second anomaly was Koishi's transformation that happened during her nightmare, the black dress that she wore to battle her own doubts once Y/N and the other librarians freed her of said shackles. Now that the library couldn't substain said change, it became unstable to a point that she could only muster it back temporarely at the cost of a lot of energy. Needless to say, she didn't try using said ability ever since they stepped outside the library for the final time, there was no need to.

Y/N: What is it?

Curious, he averted his attention to where she was looking and witnessed an impressive sight that left him speechless. Standing before him was a view revealing a large portion of Gensokyo, a perk of being high in the air. Standing in elevation, everything seemed so small compared to them while also being so distant.

In the distance, the bamboo forest that they went through could be seen, that was one of the only landmarks he could recognize, not like he was used to the outside world anyway. The Sun shining down upon them, his eyes were having a hard time adjusting to the brightness. Illuminated by its light but still, the one pretending to be human arbored a slight smile in response to the small girl's efforts.

A final change would probably be the librarian himself. Now that the thing binding him to his duties was no longer active, he could no longer use its powers like calling books out of thin air, nor make the library itself distort his feelings in the heat of battle for the sake of victory. The prison became nothing more than a normal library that one could find anywhere.

Y/N: That's... quite an impressive sight, do you usually visit this place?

Koishi: ...Not really, I tend to stay underground since nobody ever remembers me on the surface.

However, some things remained for him and one that was the most important was his body itself. While it may take the shape of something close to a human, it clearly was not, just like the librarians who were awoken to protect their awakening site. Seeing how their bodies combusted into golden pages, he could only guess that he himself was nothing more than a book, writing its own story.

No matter how long they lived, they never aged, they never fell ill, they could only experience death and injuries. With a body that did not comply with regular laws of nature, he could not call himself "human".

Another thing that remained was his talent to salvage from within others' history. Just like when he copied that black outfit with the red sword, it never was his, he could only borrow the user's past and experiences for combat purposes. That clown outfit, the trenchcoat, it all belonged to other people who had the combat capabilities that he didn't. If he were to go in a duel with nothing but his own skills, he would have died a long time ago.

With mentioned ability, that was how he was wearing the outfit that he had on at this instant. While it may be boring compared to many of the residents' fashion choice, it was up to personal preferences. His current set was composed of a black overcoat ending at his knees with an amber at the level of his neck on it and golden lines embroidered on the sides of the tissue, revealing dark pants, shirt and shoes behind it. His entire outfit was black with lines of gold, absorbing the heat of the Sun above their heads, a striking contrast with his white hair that he had since the beginning.

Koishi: ...Why are you wearing this?

Y/N: ...Because I like torturing myself by burning alive with sunlight. What else would it be?

He asked with the most sarcastic tone he could speak, making it quite obvious that it wasn't the answer. Acknowledging that, she glanced down once more, feeling at ease by standing beside someone that she trusted.

Y/N: Yukari said that I couldn't go near any civilizations, I've been exiled.

Koishi: ...

Y/N: I guess that is deserved after everything I did.

Koishi: Maybe...

Y/N: So, this might be one of the last times we meet like that.

Koishi: ...

Y/N: Who knows, maybe our paths will cross by chance but I can't reside anywhere near groups of people and I'm not going back in that library.

Silently, she grabbed the sleeve of his overcoat. Not expecting that, he lowered his focus to her and saw a pair of frigid eyes looking back at his, it was like staring at the cold of space. Then, with an unwavering voice:

Koishi: I'm going too.

Y/N: ...Heh, good one kid. We both know that your sister is going to go mental if she ever finds out that you ran away for a random schmuck.

Koishi: I'm not a kid, I can take decisions on my own!

Y/N: I suppose yes now that your eye is opened but it doesn't change the fact that your sister is going to be worried sick about you.

Koishi: Don't worry, I'll send her letters~

Y/N: ...That's not what I'm trying to get at.

Koishi: And what I'm trying to get at is that you're not getting rid of me that easily.

Y/N: ...

Y/N's mind: Why did that just give me shivers?

Hearing his question perfectly clear, she smiled back with the innocence of a child, there goes her convincing him that she didn't look like a kid. A bead of sweat falling down his face, he decided to not protest and nod along.

Y/N: Promise me that you'll go see them every so often, okay?

Koishi: I will!

Quickly jumping the gun with that answer, she rose a fist of victory to the air. The situation might be bad for the man now that he surrendered but it didn't mean that she was going to abandon her friend, not after all they went through and all she did to reach this point. It would have been for pretty much nothing if they separated here and there.

Y/N: I suppose I wouldn't mind a guide around here, I still have no idea what this world is.

He came to a realization, he wasn't going to get rid of her that easily but he didn't mind, he prefered sticking with someone that he knew to some extend rather than strangers that would want nothing more than to feast on his body for substenance.

Koishi: So, you can go around freely now?

Y/N: As long as I don't stick near villages and all, then yes. If the gap youkai needs me, we both know that it won't be difficult for her to locate me.

Koishi: ...

Beaming a bright smile, she jumped down from their strategic spot and made her way down the hill, with the librarian following her footsteps with a little less enthusiasm. The thought of forever roaming around and never being able to hide in a shelter was not something to be cheerful about.

Koishi: Oh, I almost forgot!

Turning around, she faced her friend.

Koishi: You said that you wanted to change your name, did you think of something?

Y/N(?): Yea.

He didn't want to be associated with that cursed prison, nor to be constantly reminded for his actions. In order to go past all his horrible deeds, he wanted to paint over it with a new start and build up a better reputation to cover the oldest one. Plus, it felt appropriate to him, Y/N died in the library the moment he gave up his will to revive his friends, he could not longer carry that name now that he was one with new ambitions.

[?]: I've read a name that caught my interest a long time ago. I don't know who they were in their life but I guess it doesn't really matter, I'll simply carry their legacy.

Koishi: What is it?

The man, freeing himself from his final shackle, walked past the youkai and answered with a calm voice.

[?]: Yan, the ex-librarian who escaped the will of someone pulling the strings of this sad place to make his own.

Koishi: Yan... mister Yan, it's not too hard to remember.

Nodding to herself, she followed the newly named person and marched onwards by his side, contemplating the future. Both of them had their own issues, issues that came to be confronted in due time by the opposing parties. Now, both more put at ease, the wall that seemed impossible to overcome was a simple step for them to step over to pursue their lives.

It was going to be hard, a new ordeal awaiting them but in the end, life is always full of difficulties so saying something like that was saying like how the sky was blue. It didn't matter much, as long as they were happy with the outcome, they were ready to face what lies ahead.

Koishi: Will I be able to get the drink that you promised?

Yan: ...Wait, you still remember that?

Koishi: Is it that much of a problem?

Yan: Get older little girl, we might talk then.

Puffing her cheeks, she crossed her arms and mumbled under her breath. Unable to hear what she said, he leaned closer and asked her to repeat herself.

Koishi: Then I'll grow up into a tall woman and make you admit that I'm no longer a little girl!

Yan: Heh, sure, in 40 years or more.

Koishi: Once I do, you will fall under my beauty and fall in love with me~!

She exclaimed with confidence in her voice, striking a pose to the ex-librarian to affirm her statement. Of course, the thought of something like that happening anytime soon, or even at all made him chuckle. To him, that possibility was close to zero but he wasn't going to break that bubble of hers.

Yan: Sure, let's see then.

Koishi: You'll see!

Yan: One thing at a time, let's focus on finding a good place to stay for the night.

Both side by side, they walked with no precise destination in head. It was his life now, condemned to never set foot near civilization ever again but the youkai decided to share that burden, making it at least not a boring exile. They had no way to predict the future laying its red carpet for them. All they had to do was following the line and see for themselves the ending of their story.

May their story continue on a good note. Y/N, or Yan now, I hope that you can find happiness on this path. If our efforts to give a good future to even one of us proved to be rewarded then we can smile. You'll have quite a story to tell us once you take your last breath and we'll be waiting with smiles.

Farewell.
