I'm so sorry it took so much to update again, I had to deal with finals. I hope this chapter is good enough to make the wait worth it!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 21st, 1983.
The loud ringing of an alarm clock echoed in the room.
Michael groaned and put it off by lightly hitting it with his fist as he slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them. He couldn't sleep well since he was disturbed by... uneccessary feelings.
He left his room and headed to the kitchen where he saw his red-haired mother Clara making breakfast while Evan was sitting at the table, looking at the images in a book about astronomical objects.
"Goodmorning birthday boy" Michael said as he smiled, ruffled the little boy's hair and sat down.
Evan slightly smiled in response as he swinged his feet and kept leafing through the book.
"Goodmorning honey!" Clara happily exclaimed. "I'm making pancakes since it's a special day today".
"Where's Elizabeth?" Michael curiously asked as he noticed her absence.
"Oh, your father took her to school already" the woman said as she laid the plates on the table. "Evan honey It's time to eat, put the book away please".
She sat down with her family, ignoring the fact that Evan limited himself to move the book next to the plate and kept looking at the pictures of meteors while enjoying his food. Not after moving the blueberries away from the top of the pancake, though.
The woman sighed and muttered to herself: "Another attempt to sneak fruits and vegetables in his diet failing".
Michael chuckled as he ate his pancakes. "He's smart mom, you need to try harder than that. You should try blending them in, that worked with me as a kid".
The woman sighed. "Why is everyone in this family so scared of fruits and vegetables?"
"That's a good question, I guess it's in dad's blood to be disgusted by them" Michael said, jokingly.
"By the way, you're gonna go back to school today, right? Only Evan gets to have birthday privileges!"
"Yesyes, don't worry. I'm gonna go get ready after this" Michael said as he replied to his mother's nagging.
"Alright sorry, just checking" Clara lastly told her son before starting to enjoy her breakfast aswell.
After finishing his pancakes Michael did exactly what he promised to his mother.
As the boy quickly got to the front door since he heard a certain someone ring the door bell he looked back and yelled:"Mooom! I'm going!"
"Okay honey!" Clara yelled back. "Have a good day! ... And don't cause any trouble again!"
Michael rolled his eyes and opened the front door as he clumsly put his backpack on one of his shoulders and greeted the boy who was standing in front of the door: "Goodmorning, Jeremy!"
Seth was taken back by how Michael choose to call him that specific name. "Oh- Hi! Ready to go, momma's boy?"
"Yes, I kind of weirdly missed going to school" the boy said as he closed the door behind himself and started walking to school with his friend. "Are we going to actually attend lectures today or sneak off as we usually do?"
"Nah, we're going to actually put some effort in. We don't want to risk failing".
"Yeah... Neither do I".
The two boys arrived at school and, after chatting for some minutes, went to their corresponding classes.
During break Michael headed alone to the cafeteria, looking around with his tray to spot his friends. Once he saw them he smiled to himself and got near the table, but his face quickly turned into a confusing expression once he saw an unfamiliar extra person sitting with them but, upon noticing how they were wearing an hijab, he connected the dots and figured out that must be Chrissy's crush.
"Heyy" Michael greeted his friends and the new person as he sat down with them.
"Oh, hi Mikey!" Chrissy excitedly exclaimed. "This is Jami, the cool person from art class I was talking about" she warmly smiled as she introduced them.
Jami waved their hand at Michael while warmly smiling: "Hi!"
"Oh- Yeah, Chrissy said a lot about you. Like...a lot-lot" Michael grinned, stirring the pot to cause embarassment.
"Just the normal amount!" Chrissy defended herself as she started sweating a little bit.
Jami giggled. "It's ok, I find that very cute~".
Chrissy's cheeks suddenly felt hotter once she heard them say that.
"Wow. You're seriously sweating over there" Rubén said as he looked at Chrissy, since he was sitting next to her. "Do you need some cold water to cool down?" He asked as he offered her a plastic cup.
"I-I'm ok! I'm totally fine! I'm not embarassed at all what are you talking about??" She nervously laughed.
"No one said that, but good to know~" Michael grinned as he caused more discomfort and looked at Chrissy while putting some food in his mouth to piss her off.
Chrissy looked at Michael, communicating with her fiery eyes, which were full of rage, that she was going to kill him once her crush wasn't with them anymore.
"Hmm! I love the sweet taste of revenge". Michael quietly declared as he enjoyed his low quality cafeteria food. "I also see why you wanted to attend art class so badly today now", he added as he smirked.
Chrissy kicked him from under the table to shut him up, making him swear in pain.
"OW- FUCK!"
Seth giggled. "That was fair, you gotta hand it to her".
"You're supposed to be on my side, J e r m". He said as he glared at him angrily and touched his own knees in pain.
"Wow, is that a new nickname you just made up?"
"Yeah. It's very fitting isn't it?" He asked retorically while letting out a sneer.
"Rude".
Rubén awkwardly looked at the two group of people chatting and lowkey flirting with each other as he sucked the apple juice out of the straw, sadly realizing that he was the only one left without a love interest in the friend group and that he was basically fifth-weeling.
Chrissy wasn't with him to fourth wheel anymore...
"How the fuck do the queer kids find a love interest when they have to be secretive about their sexuality and yet I don't?" He thought, while eating his mashed potatoes like a sad girl in a movie with her ice cream.
Once they finished eating at the cafeteria Jeremy headed to the men's bathroom with Michael. They always went together, Seth's presence made him feel safer and comfortable, even thought it was always a risky thing to do since he could be punished for using the 'wrong' bathroom. As much as Michael wanted to avoid causing other problems at school though, he hated going to the girl's bathroom even more.
As the boy was washing his hands and chatted with Jeremy, who was resting against the scribbled wall, a figure that was as tall and beefy as him entered the bathroom, next to a familiar blonde-haired boy.
Michael didn't even have the time to turn around and look at the two people since he immediately felt something hitting his stomach, followed by a sudden rush of pain which made him cower down and put his arms around it.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?" Seth reacted, immediately getting in front of Michael to defend him as the boy gradually raised his gaze to look at the two people, slowly realizing what just happened and who that blonde-haired person was: Kyle.
"This is payback for what you did to me, bitch". The blondie, Kyle, declared as he glared the two friends in anger.
Jeremy wasn't a confrontational person, he never fought anyone, but he suddenly felt his blood boiling and closed his fists tight.
Kyle noticed how Seth looked like he was ready to hit someone and warned him: "If any of you freaks try to ever lay a finger on me and my friend I'm gonna make sure you're gonna get expelled, don't fuck with me. This revenge is only fair, I didn't break your stupid nose like you did and made sure we wouldn't hit you too hard and cause serious damage".
Jeremy absolutely didn't look like he wanted to take that as an excuse for hurting his loved one. He breathed heavily, feeling the urge to break not just the douche's nose again, but his whole face aswell.
Michael slowly tugged the boy by the back of his jeans: "It's not worth it. My father would kill me if I got into trouble again, please". His voice sounded scratchy as he pleaded.
Seth turned his head around to look at Michael who still cowered in pain. Hearing and seeing the person he cared for the most in such state convinced him and brought him into his senses again. He was still furious, yes, he wanted to make them pay for hurting him aswell, but Michael's safety and his discomfort needed to be took care of first. He stopped clenching his fists and went to assist him, helping him to stand back again by letting his arm wrap around his shoulder.
"Good. Seems like they finally understood the place they have in this school. Let's go, Jordan"
"Fucking weirdos" the tall boy said as he left the bathroom with his friend and gave one last glaring judging expression.
Michael hissed in discomfort. "Fuck, that was supposed to be an easy punch? I feel like my fucking organs switched places".
Jeremy helped Michael get inside a bathroom stall as he spoke: "I'm going to get you some ice. Stay here, ok?"
"I'm not going anywhere, that's for sure" Michael ironically said as he kept his arms around his stomach, aching and sitting on the disgusting toilet seat.
After less than a minute his friend got back to him with a pack of cold ice, hurried.
Michael lightly raised his shirt up to expose his stomach while complaining: "Those fuckers, gosh".
Jeremy put the ice pack which was wrapped around a piece of cloth on Michael's body, and the boy jolted for how cold it felt.
"It tickles, oh my god" he let out a laugh.
"Stay still, idiot!"
"If someone walks in they're gonna hear us and think we're doing ungodly things" the boy kept laughing.
"Michael, oh my god!" Jeremy replied, embarassed but still focusing on the ice pack he was holding.
Michael looked down at him and smiled. He was kind of glad this happened weirdly enough, at least he had the pleasure to see the boy he didn't want to admit having a crush on take care of him. He slightly blushed thinking about the situation they were in.
"I know you can't go home early, but try to not move too much. I don't trust that fucker, he probably punched you real good" Seth recommended, his voice sounding angry but concerned aswell.
"Considering how big that guy was if he did that with full force I would've puked actual blood, Jerm" he replied in a condescending but joking tone of voice.
Jeremy looked up at the boy's face, annoyed but worried at the same time. "I just want to make sure you're ok now since I couldn't prevent that piece of shit from hitting you, it's the least I can do. I care about you, you know?"
Michael slightly blushed again after hearing those words coming out from the boy's mouth and looked into his dark brown, almost black, soft eyes. There was such sincerity in his tone of voice and look, it made him feel like his guts were getting all tangled up, but maybe that was caused by the trauma of the blow, who knows.
"Woah... Are you my guardian angel or something? You know, like Jeremiah and shit".
Jeremy scoffed. "You idiot, Jeremiah is a prophet, not an angel! Are you sure you didn't also hit your head?"
Michael chuckled and smirked as he looked at him. "Nerd".
The boy suddenly put the ice pack up on his chest to get the revenge on the mocking.
"OW!" Michael laughed as he grabbed the ice pack. "That's cold, you bastard!"
Jeremy laughed back and mimicked Michael's british accent on that last phrase: "That's cold, you bastard!"
"WOW. This is how you treat friends who just got assaulted?! Unbelivable!"
The boy giggled in response. "Yes. Now get back to class, NERD".
"You know what? I will!" Michael stood up, keeping the ice pack on his stomach. "But not because you told me to!"
"Whatever you say" Jeremy smirked as he looked down at the boy and patted his head to make fun of him. He couldn't ever take Michael seriously since he always looked like an angry chihuaha from his point of view.
Michael's cheeks got red and he yelled:"BYE" before hurrying back to class (well as much as he could since his stomach still kind of hurt), flustered by the interaction.
He secretely kept the ice pack under his shirt for the rest of day, and disposed it when the last bell rang.
He walked normally out of the building, thankfully not feeling too much pain or limping anymore.
Chrissy ran to the boy once he saw him, just like a concerned mother. "Michael are you ok?! Seth told us what happened!"
Seth immediately ran after Chrissy. "Sorry I don't know if you wanted me to tell them-"
"No it's ok Jerm don't worry-"
"That fucking dick!" Rubén said angrily as he joined them, "Imagine getting help from a bigger guy because you're scared of getting hurt again, what a fucking pussy".
"Hey, don't compare women's private body parts to that jerk! ... or people born in women's bodies... or cats, for that matter" Chrissy exclaimed.
"Guys, I'm ok. Let's just sweep this under a rug, at least he will stop pestering us now. And if he does, then I will surely take action. I just didn't want to ruin Evan's birthday party because of that piece of shit. UGH, just talking about this makes my blood boil!"
As Michael finished his sentence he heard the beep of a car and, as he looked over his friend's shoulders, he saw a purple car parked in front of them.
"Oh that's my dad, gotta go. See you at my brother's birthday party, don't be late!"
"Bye Mikeyy..." the boy's friends said as they looked at him getting into the car and driving off.
There was a moment of quietness as they saw the car getting smaller and smaller in the distance. It was a silence of concern for remembering Michael's words about the relationship with his dad.
"... I'm sorry is it a bad time to say how gay Michael's dad looks?" Rubén then suddenly exclaimed, out of the blue.
"Dude. What". Seth replied, taken back by his words.
"I don't know how to explain it. He looks... clean? He has no beard whatsoever and always wears fancy, colorful and funky clothes... Socially acceptable, yes, but still kind of different- Ok I'm really stereotyping right now, aren't I?"
"Yep. You are" Chrissy said as she looked at Rubén and crossed her arms, annoyed.
"I'll shut my ignorant ass up and go back home, see you later".
In the late afternoon Michael helped his father arrange the pizzeria for the party. As he was crouching down to grab some ornaments he felt his stomach aching, and put his arm around it while hissing in pain.
"Oh god-"
"Is everything alright?" William asked as he looked down at his son with the corner of his eye.
"Yeah uhm-" Michael started to nervously try to make up a lie. "I just fell at school and bumped against the corner of a desk, so my stomach hurts".
William stepped down from the ladder.
"Sit down then, if it hurts it means that you should rest still. I'll take care of the rest". He put an hand on Michael's shoulder, lightly pushing him down to make him sit on the chair behind him and went to grab an icepack to ease the pain.
Michael sat down, confused. After months of the relationship with his father hitting a rocky road random moments of kindness started popping up, even if his father's tone of voice was still monotone and his face didn't look soft at all. You would think that's a positive thing, but it only made Michael feel conflicting emotions.
He felt as if he lived on a boat out in the sea, an unpredictable life made by moments of absolute peacefulness and of violent tempest that came out of nowhere and that he had to passively endure.
It's not like he didn't appreciate the moments where the sea was placid and swayed him like a baby in a crib, but when you learn how to find your balance while you're being pushed around during a storm you know that, if you lower your guard and lift some weight off your shoulders, you could end up losing your balance as you get caught up in a turmoil again and fall from the boat, drowning in a dark chaotic abyss.
He stayed there, with the ice pack his father handed him from his calloused hands. It felt nice to touch them again for aa brief moment, Michael's hands still remembered the comforting touch of his father's.
Well, they were way smaller back then since he was a child when William still used to hold them.
Michael's hands craved that sense of security and comfort they used to give.
He sat with an icepack on his stomach, watching as his father stood on top of the ladder, hanging the decorations with focus and dedication, until he was done arranging and some familiar faces started to enter the pizzeria.
William glanced at a man who entered the party room, not looking too cheerful. He decided to come up to him.
"Hey Hen, are you sure you can handle this? Y'know..."
"It's ok Will. Charlie would be mad if she knew I skipped Evan's birthday because of her, and besides, I'm also the owner. It's my job".
"I see..."
William looked at his friend.
"If you ever need a break you can go in the office though, alright? Don't worry, I'll take care of everything else for you".
"Oh. Thank you Will, that's very nice of you".
Henry smiled at his friend as he looked at him, but even William could tell that smile was forced. Seeing his best friend hurt this much made him feel really guilty.
"You know..." the bearded man sighed. "Charlie would've wanted to be here, she would've loved this party and hanging out with Evan. I hope she's ok, wherever she is. As much as I wish her to be happy though, I hope she's not in heaven right now... I don't want her to be there, yet". The man looked in front of him with suddenly glossy eyes, and it wasn't the reflection of the light on his glasses that made them look like that.
William looked in front of him aswell, crossing his arms and rubbing one with his own hand. As he did that, however, his eyes suddenly fell on one of their animatronics inside of a big gift-shaped box, the security puppet, peeking out and staring at him with its two small white dots glimpsing in the dark. It could've been the situation and the guilt he was feeling, but even though it was programmed to look out when there were people in the room, it really felt like that robot was looking at him in particular, almost as if it was judging him and knew what he did, and it sent a chill down William's spine.
"Are you ok Will? You look like you just saw a ghost" Henry asked as he turned around and saw his friend's body language and the look on his face.
"Huh?" William looked back at Henry and stopped crossing his arms. He let out a scoff after realizing what he just asked him. "Jesus Henry, you're the one asking me that even though you're going through all of this shit?" A bittersweet smirk appeared on his face.
Henry let out a chuckle. "You're right, good to know that it's still good old me even after everything that has been happening lately though, it means I'm somehow coping well with the situation.
You know... When people are dealing with serious things they change for the worse sometimes, since they're currently in another state of mind. They can do things they immediately regret, things they would've never done before, even things that never crossed their minds, and that's all because they have all this sudden horrible emotions that they don't know how to release and that keep pestering their mind like a parasite. It's really scary how feelings can completely change a man".
William stared at his friend as he said those words.
"... Yeah".
"No matter what happens, I won't hurt myself and the people around me that I care about" Henry looked at William in the eyes with a caring expression while laying an hand on his shoulder. "I won't let anything ruin our little buisness and, most importantly, our friendship. No matter what I'm dealing with I'll always be there for you, Will".
"... Oh".
His kind words weirdly felt like a knife stabbed right in his heart kept being twisted.
"I'm..." the man tried to respond even though he felt like he was going to throw up instead. "I feel the same Henry, I'll... always be there for you aswell".
Henry genuinly smiled at William as tears started forming in his eyes and tightly hugged his friend.
"Thank you, Will".
William's body felt stiff, but he still forced himself to hug his friend back. He stared at the ground while doing so, dwelling in regret.
"I'm so sorry... for Charlie".
He didn't mean that the way Henry thought he did.
The friend gave a vigorous pat on William's shoulder and let him go. "It's ok Will, I'm sure we'll find her. Go think about your own kid now! It's his day after all".
"... Yeah, you're right. I'll get going". He walked away from the room, not daring to look at his friend's eyes again and sighed while thinking:"God, I wish I could just drink right now".
While the two adults had that depressing conversation Michael was laughing along his friends.
"By the way, is it me or is your hair poofier than usual?" The boy with the mullet hair cut asked after taking a sip of coke.
Chrissy giggled, excited. "Nope! I made it extra poofy when I used my afro pick just for this special occasion".
"What the hell is an afro pick?" Michael asked, confused.
"It's like a comb, but for afros!"
"Oh..." He looked at the girl up and down. His friend usually gets over dressed, but this time she looked crazier than usual. "You look fly for a kid's birthday party".
The girl twirled her curly hair around "I might've gotten a little bit carried away, but I'm just SO EXCITED!" She jumped and tightly hugged Michael, who laughed even if he felt a little bit uncomfortable by the sudden physical contact.
"Alright alright, go easy now- I wanted to talk you guys about something".
Chris stopped hugging Michael and looked at him, together with the two other boys.
"What is it?" Jeremy asked.
"As you can see, there aren't going to be many kids to the party. I know you guys mainly came here to just hang out together, but let's try to include my brother a little bit, alright?"
The three people raised their thumb in approvement, listening to Michael as if they were some kind of soldiers on a mission.
He got closer to his friends and started whispering: "Also, since he loves Fredbear..."
William looked at his son and group of friends while he was waiting for his wife with Evan and Elizabeth to come. They whispered stuff to each other, then laughed together and started to plan which arcade game they should play with first. Henry came up to his friend once he was done 'repairing' the puppet, since it looked like it started to act weirdly. He didn't think much about it, he just thought the robot being forced to stay inside the box by those kids broke some kind of mechanics.
"You've never seen Michael hang out with them, right?"
"No..."
"They look like very nice friends. You can tell Mich- uhm Michelle's happy that she found people like her".
"Yeah... I guess you're right. It's nice to see her being so happy".
Henry took a glimpse at William's face.
"It looks like you realized something, is everything ok? Is it about... that thing?" He asked, concerned.
"Oh- Yeah, I think, but I'm fine".
"I see".
William realized how he never had something like Michael's group of friends.
Clara was the closest person he felt he could be himself with and yet, he felt as if something was missing. Either in his friends, in himself or both.
No matter what though, all his thoughts would be cut off by the reminder of what he did to Charlie. The bloody gorey image of what he did ruled his mind, he couldn't get himself to stop thinking about it. As harder as he tried to silence his brain the louder it got. He usually would let some drinks do the job, but now since he couldn't just drown his thoughts in alcohol his heartbeat got faster and faster as his mind punished him and told him what an horrible person he was, and what horrible death awaits him for this reason.
Horrible images of his time in hell that he normally only dreamed about in his nightmares also started to force themselves into his thoughts. The guilt was like a parasite inside his brain that ate his flesh, growing bigger and bigger as the time passed.
"I'm sorry- I need a moment" he said to Henry as he hurried into the office. Henry thought it was just the bad memories of his childhood resurfacing, so he didn't find it weird. He looked at the door of the office though, worried for his friend, until a woman came up to him, holding the hands of two little kids.
"Hi Henry, is everything ok?" Her voice sounded soft as she politely asked, since she knew about the bearded man's pain.
"Oh, hello Clara!" The man said as he turned around "Well... I'm managing the best way I can" he then affirmed, until his eyes fell on the ground and saw the two little kids that were with his friend's wife. "And here's the birthday boy!" He said as he got to Evan's height and smiled at him.
"I'm also here!!" Elizabeth yelled as she pouted her lips.
The man laughed. "Yesyes, I see you Ellie" he said cheerfully, tickling her neck to make the little girl laugh.
Clara smiled at the sweet scene. "Let's go find your sister now. Later, Henry!" She then said as she walked away with them.
"So yeah, Jami is not a girl and prefers neutral terms. To be honest, I don't see myself as a girl or a boy either, but I like being called a girl and wear cute feminine outfits! It kind of feels like I'm doing drag like my parents, in a sense... I know, it's probably confusing".
"Hello! I hope I'm not interrupting anything important. You must be my daughter's friends, right? It's nice to finally meet you!" Clara said as she warmly smiled.
Chrissy and Rubén looked at the woman with their mouths open, without being able to say a word.
"Oh, hello Mrs. Afton" Seth smiled back. "Yes, we are h... uhm. We're the friends, yes".
Michael sighed, annoyed. "Hi mom".
"It's ok sweetheart I won't intrude myself in your conversations anymore today, I just wanted to say hi! I'll go look for your dad now" she said as she was about to leave, until she heard the voice of his son and stopped.
"Actually, mom, we were about to play some arcade games. Evan can play with us, if he wants to" Michael suggested.
"Oh!" She looked at him, pleasantly surprised that he was trying to be a good bigger brother again. The mother looked down at the brown-haired little boy next to her, who's eyes got wider in excitement. "Do you want to play with them, dear?"
Evan nodded his head and let go of his mother's hand, walking up to Michael.
"Let's go find daaad!!" Elizabeth shrieked as she pulled her mother's hand, annoyed about having to patiently wait.
"Alright, have fun!" Clara smiled back as she walked away.
"... Dude your mom is like super hot" Rubén exclaimed.
"I KNOW RIGHT?!" Chrissy yelled.
"Guys what the fff- I mean... hell. What the hell" Michael replied as he took Evan's hand, remembering that he shouldn't say swear words in front of his little brother.
"Hi little buddy!" Jeremy cheerfully said as he looked at Evan, but the little boy skittishly got closer to his brother. He didn't like to interact with people he didn't know.
"... Michael's mom has such nice boobs" Chrissy wispered to Rubén.
"I know right, and her body? God I love volumptious and big women" Rubén whispered back.
Michael karate-chopped his two friend's head.
"OW!" They simultaneously cried out as they rubbed the top of their head.
"Stop talking about my mom, you pervs! Let's go play that basketball arcade game".
They played various games and had fun, while also trying to include Evan and make him feel special. Jeremy even let him sit on his shoulders so he could get lots of points easily, and the little boy happily laughed a few times as Michael and his friends hyped him up, even when they played bowling.
The birthday was going well in general. Evan blew his candles and opened the space themed presents while Springbonnie and Fredbear, the animatronics, played and sang country songs in their stage.
While Evan was playing along Elizabeth with his new toys, however, their playtime got interrupted by Michael who came up to them.
"Hey Evan, follow me" he said as he took his little brother's hand.
Evan curiously followed him and his friends, until he realized they were heading to the stage.
"Fredbear wanted to give you something!" Michael said as he walked towards it.
"Huh..." Evan looked unsure and afraid, but Michael picked him up in his arms.
"Come on, don't be scared! It's like your plushie friend, just five times bigger".
Jeremy interrupted Michael by putting an hand on his shoulder, concerned. "Don't force him if he's scared, your plan was a success already. He had fun".
"It's fine! Fredbear is just going to give him a birthday kiss" he said as he looked at Jeremy and pushed Evan's head against the robot's head, but since he was distracted his little brother's head got stuck inside the moving robot's mouth.
"... Oh god".
"Get him out of there!" Chrissy yelled, worried.
"I'm trying!" Michael said as he panicked and tried to get Evan's head out of the Fredbear's mouth.
The little boy started to squirm and cry in panic.
"I don't like this, I'm going to call your dad-" Rubén said as he tried to walk away, but got stopped by Michael's yelling.
"NO! IT'S FINE!" Michael said as he struggled to get his brother out of there.
The inside of Fredbear's mouth started to get humid due to the crying and heavy breathing of the scared little boy. The steam started to spread to it's 'throat' and the tears ran down into the chest cavity.
There was bickering and yelling while the friend group tried to get Evan out of there, until a sound that could only be described as what you would hear by cracking an egg led to a moment of silence, and an horrifying image got everyone's attention.
Fredbear's mouth shut on the child, breaking it's skull apart and splattering its blood on Michael's face, who was left in silent shock as his hands were still holding the little boy. Blood started to drip down from the gap of Fredbear's fake teeth onto the floor, and Evan's arms dangled from the robot, his body immediately becoming lifeless like a rag doll. The cheerful country songs continued to play and Springbonnie continued to dance and play his banjo, contrasting the traumatizing image.
The friends watched in shock and started to scream in horror. This alerted the other people at the party, especially William and Henry who dropped all the cleaning supplies they were holding and ran to the source of the screams.
They were about to yell:"What happened?!" But, as they entered the main room, the disturbing image left them speechless.
Clara followed the two men while holding Elizabeth's hand and, confused and worried on why they just stood there in silence, peeked to the right. She was horrified, and almost threw up, but she covered her little daughter's eyes to protect her from seeing such a gorey scene.
While his friends where still shrieking in terror, Michael stood there, completely frozen. His body endured such a sudden shock that it stopped functioning.
His eyelids wouldn't even move and everything started to seem blurry and kept changing shape, like he was about to pass out. The screams of the people around him the and shouts of an angry but crying man sounded distant, muffled. The last thing he could barely see was a bearded man getting in front of him, trying with all his strenght to reassure the boy while trying to wipe his face from the blood with his shaking hands.
Everything felt like a fever dream, a total foggy mess. Michael didn't even feel like he was in his own body anymore, he was completely detached from reality, as if he was living that moment in third person, just like he was in a movie.
A terrible,
gorey,
traumatic
movie.
The last thing he could remember hearing was the distant and distorted sound of an ambulance...
