Epilogue

You sit alone in your house, tears streaming down your face as you think about the one person who changed your life and opened your heart: Michael Afton. You sigh then turn on the TV. Perhaps something is on that will distract your heavy heart. A news alert about the fire that burned Fazbear's Fright flashes on the screen. One body was found, buried under the rubble. You choke out a sob as Michael's body is shown on the TV. Michael's body is blackened and broken, his face the only thing recognizable about him. You turn off the TV and cry for about 20  minutes, remembering how that horrible night went down. Michael begging you to leave, him shoving you out of the way of the collapsing ceiling....no. No more. You stand up and walk out your front door, your mind a blur. You want to believe that last night was a nightmare...that it never happened. But the TV confirmed your fears. Michael is dead. For real this time. And nothing you do will ever bring him back.

You walk out your front door and sit down on your bench, feeling empty. You stare at the road, your eyes red and puffy. The world seems so bright. Michael, to other people, didn't matter. When he died, nobody cared. The world didn't end. For you though, it did. You sit there for about an hour, watching your neighbors have fun with their families. Parents playing with their children. Kids squealing with delight as they played games of tag. You watch silently, wondering if Michael ever had this type of relationship with his family.

You feel a presence next to you, but you smile and turn your head. No one was there, but you can feel someone near you still. You grin and turn back to the road. You hear a whisper in a familiar voice, and your face lights up with delight.

"This is what I wanted. Happy families. No heartbreak or grief. The world is the way it should be. Dry your tears, Y/N. For tomorrow is truly a new day. And that tomorrow is today."

You smile and stand up, the pain you felt before has been reduced significantly. You walk back into your house, ready to begin the day anew. After all, tomorrow is a new day.
