Chapter 7: A New Start
(30 years later)
You remember your time at Freddy's like it was yesterday. You had been on the job with Michael for only two days. Then, Michael had quit, or as the phone man claimed, and you did the nightshift alone. There had been a small fire in the men's restroom, destroying the original animatronics. They were replaced by look-alikes that appeared to have been built by Michael. You miss him still, after 30 years.
You enter Fazbear's Fright, ready to begin your second night as the nightguard for the attraction. Last night was basically the guy on the phone talking for 6 hours straight about your duties as the nightguard. Jeez. That guy could talk. But tonight, things were different. The excavators had found an old animatronic to use for the attraction. You groan and flip through the cameras, but freeze when you see an old, moldy, golden bunny. Your jaw drops. It was William. And he was heading your way. You remember when William had dragged you to the saferoom to use you as his "plaything". What a fucked up dick. You vaguely remember the fact that he had 3 kids, and all of them were dead. Michael mentioned that he should have died, but he hadn't. You wipe a tear from your face and try to survive. You remember Michael mentioning dead kids. If you were to free their souls...maybe they would be free. You walk out of the office, only to see a shadowy bunny.
"Follow me." the bunny whispered and walks away. You follow the rabbit, wondering what he wants. You walk through the old pizzeria, occasionally pausing to look at old, weathered drawings that kids had drawn over 30 years ago. The whole pizzeria was like a time capsule, showing what the pizzeria once was. You follow the shadow to a door that's bolted and locked. The shadow drifts through the door, and you are unable to follow him any farther. You press your ear to the door and stagger back, surprised, when you hear breathing. The locks and chains on the door look like they were there for eons, rust drowning the metal in red.
"Follow me." the shadowy Bonnie whispers again, this time sounding more urgent, as if you were close. Tears stream down your face, and out of frustration, you run at the door and slam your body against it. The door gives way, its rusted hinges giving way under your weight. The room is pitch-black and it's impossible to see. You pull out your flashlight and turn it on, pointing it into the dark room. You see a body lying on the ground, surprisingly intact. There was a thick layer of dust covering every inch of the room, almost like...nobody had been in this room in years. The weirdest thing you notice is that the body on the floor...is alive. His chest is moving up and down. You listen for a pulse, and are shocked when you hear one. This person is still alive. You roll him over to see his face, and scream.
Springtrap's P.O.V
I heard a scream and grinned, my teeth the only part of me that hadn't been lost to decomposition. There was a person here. Someone I could kill. I thought about my death, how my son had promised to help me but broke that promise. My son had broken plenty of promises before. He was truly a monster. Just like me. I frowned, thinking about my past. How I could have changed one thing. Maybe I shouldn't have killed that little girl in front of Fredbear's. I remembered that night when I returned home. Even Michael had been afraid of me, and had struggled to get out of my grasp. But the past was the past...and I have to live in the present.
I slipped into the shadows and approached the old security office, ready to strike like a cobra. I sprang into the office, only to find that nobody was there. Where is the nightguard? I shouted angrily and threw the chair against the wall, where it broke into pieces. Then, I saw a shadowy bear flicker across my line of sight. Of course. Shadow Freddy. He would lead me to my next victim. I followed Shadow Freddy until I reached an empty hallway. Shadow Freddy pointed to the empty doorway at the end of the hall. I nodded my thanks and moved in for the kill.
