Venting.(Scott)

A/n:feeling emotionally heavy, hopefully this will help some people in need ❤

The time was almost past midnight, and her eyes focused once again on the clock.

Where was he?

She tapped her foot against the floor, looking over to her phone.

Should i call him?

I am worried.

What if i am overthinking it?

She cared for him, knowing all too well how much he has on his plate right now.

Extra shifts, paperwork from Byron, trying to make sure the pizzeria was running fine while also dragging Vincent to do his part of the job.

Her fingers wrapped around the phone, picking it up and going through the contacts.

But as her call was going through, the sound of keys with the door opening echoed in the apartment.

He groaned, trying to find his ringing phone in his jacket and closing the door behind him with his foot.

He looked at the caller, and then in front of him.

"Did you call?"

He managed to chuckle,as she simply ran into his embrace.

His nose nuzzled against her hair, exhaling at her comforting scent.

"I got worried."

His arms wrapped around her figure, placing a kiss on the top of her head.

"I am here."

She smiled, eyes sparkling and looking up at him.

"You must be hungry, let me make you something real quick."

She was about to walk into the kitchen, but his hand grabbed her wrist.

"No need to,i will just eat a snack, don't stress yourself over it."

She was about to complain, but he sneaked a kiss on her cheek.

"Pretty please?"

She pouted, rolling her eyes and then walking back to the living room.

He simply smiled, walking into the kitchen and making his way towards the fridge.

He simply grabbed the milk, before opening up a cabinet and taking hold of the cereal.

This should do.

He filled half the bowl with cereal, before pouring the milk in it.

His eyes were drowsy, and every muscle tired from the shifts at the pizzeria.

His hand opened a drawer,grabbing a spoon.

But as his other hand went to grab the bowl, and he didn't notice the distance and knocked the bowl down on the floor.

The shattering noise made his whole body flinch, gripping at the counter with a long sigh.

Another mess up you need to clean up.

He got on his knees, carefully grabbing some large pieces from the broken bowl.

The milk had created a long trail, expanding itself more on the kitchen floor.

Are simple tasks that hard for you to do now?

He shook his head, trying to shake that voice from his head.

You are so pathetic.

He huffed, sitting down on the cold floor as his back pressed up against the cabinets that were under the sink.

I can't do this anymore.

Too tired.

He leaned his head back, running his long fingers along his face and trying to shield his teary eyes.

His head was hectic in the void of his thoughts,he didn't even hear her voice was calling out to him.

"Scott?Hey,what happened?"

She heard the sound, and she rushed herself to the scene, watching the tall male on the floor, trying to take deep breaths.

She avoided the puddle of milk and cereal on the floor, kneeling down in front of him.

Her hands laid on his forearms, making him flinch.

His hands let go of his face, looking at her with his blurry vision.

"I am sorry love,i promise to clean it up."

His eyes puffy and red,and his cheeks were stained with non stop tears.

"I am so sorry."

His head hang low, letting out a broken sob.

"No,don't apologize, everything is fine!"She hesitantly inched closer, rubbing her hands along his shoulders."You did nothing wrong Scottie."

Her touch made him come undone, burying himself against her chest,as his hands gripped at her back, clinging her close.

"I am so tired,i can't this anymore."

He sniffled, crying himself against her shirt.

She blinked, surprised and very much worried.

This man who she loved like nothing else.

He was in her arms crying.

Her arms held him close, rubbing his back in a soothing motion.

"It hurts."

His breath hitched, and his chest was heavy, almost finding it hard to take a deep breath.

"Just, let it out all out, don't hold back."

She should have known.

She should have known that he had a heavy burden on his shoulders.

This burn out broke him.

How long was he feeling like that?

How long was he hiding that pain?

And this nature of him always wanting to help others.

Why did no one turn around to help him?

Her one hand was caressing his brown hair,as the other was drawing circles with her index finger along his back.

His cries had died down, though the grip on her was still intense.

His ear was pressed against her chest, listening to her steady heartbeat and trying to match it with his own.

He inhaled and exhaled everytime she did, slowly making his body calmer and calmer.

His eyes were looking at the floor, with not a single sign of life in them.

Her lips kissed the top of his head, moving her fingers along his wet cheek.

"Scottie?"

He hummed,as if answering her back.

"I am going to call Byron, you will have some days off."

He closed his eyes, exhaling deeply through his nose.

"And i don't want to hear any complaints,i will even take your shifts if it means you will get to relax."

She carefully lifted him up off her lap,as she stood up.

He took a hold of her hands, managing to stand himself up.

He let her guide him along the house, with not many thoughts.

His surroundings were a blurr,as his eyes only focused on the girl's back who was guiding him.

A sudden light made his eyes squint, blinking to adjust.

The sudden noise of running water made him look over to her, noticing her filling up the bathtub with water.

"(Y/N)."

He was about to stop her,but she simply splashed his clothes.

"Hush."

He blinked, looking at his wet button up work shirt.

He removed it,throwing it inside the laundry basket as she added some bath oils to create bubbles.

She hummed with a smile, turning around and wrapping her fingers around his belt, removing it from his pants.

She made him push down his work pants, throwing them in the basket as well.

He stepped inside the warm water, letting himself sink into the bubbles.

She followed soon after, removing her clothes and sitting right behind him, grabbing a sponge.

He didn't question it,instead,he just let himself relax in her arms.

The sponge dragged along his shoulders, rubbing his tense muscles.

Her fingers pressed against the back of his neck, massaging him which made him close his eyes and softly sigh.

After she was done with his body, she made sure to have a good amount of shampoo on her hands before letting her fingers ran through his brown hair.

His head was coated in bubbles and foam, and she playfully pressed some foam on the tip of his nose.

He leaned back, laying against her body with a small smile.

He fluttered his eyes open, looking up at her as her hands laid on his chest.

"(Y/N)?"

She hummed, looking into his eyes with that warmth and love she always had.

"I love you.Thank you."

She couldn't help but smile,as her cheeks felt warm to the touch.

"I love you too."

Her fingers traveled underneath his chin, tilting it upwards so it would be easier for her to lean down.

Her lips pressed against his, giving him a delicate soft kiss.

It's important to know your limits and when to stop.

Your mind can handle as much, please don't overwork it.
