Drowning yourself into the beautifully inked pages of the manga.

Just in hope for getting to live this different reality.

But as you are lost in those pages,someone has to bring you back to the real world.

"Jeremy?"The familiar voice from a specific grumpy man came from behind the sleeping Jeremy,as he shook his shoulders more."Jeremy!"

The brown haired male gasped and lifted his sleepy head from the open pages of the manga he was reading.

"Mike."He softly shuttered,rubbing his eyes as he looked up at him."Did i sleep again?"

The taller male crossed his arms,slightly giving him a glare.

"Yes,and i covered your shift before break time."

The shy boy rubbed his arm,feeling as if he put him in a tough spot.

"I will cover your shift next if you want." He suggested with a low head,only to feel his fingers along his brown hair locks.

"Don't worry about it."Mike couldn't help but smile,ruffling his hair which made him slightly squeal.

He leaned himself against the desk,looking down at the shy boy.

"So,mind telling me why were you late to work today and also why are you like a sleeping zombie?"

His cheeks turned into a red colour,tugging at his knees.

"Well."His voice cracked,feeling ashamed."I was catching up with some of my favourite series."

"Until eight in the morning?"

He blushed more.

"I have been so busy with work that i didn't have time to catch up with the new season so i binged watched it!"

Mike chuckled,shaking his head.

"But you know you need to rest,right?I understand the hype and all,but Boss almost scolded you and you almost slept on one of the occupied tables."He removed his hat,rubbing slightly his bald stitched head."And on your break you slept in the office."

"I tried to stay awake!"He defended himself with red cheeks,showing him the romance manga he was reading."I tried reading to keep my mind awake but turned out i fell asleep on top of the pages."

He lowered his head,feeling as if his day went to waste since he wasn't productive enough,only to feel a gentle punch on his shoulder.

"I know how you feel,but please,don't be so harsh with yourself,everyone has their days."He smiled,slowly walking out of the office."How about that;i will tell Byron you need to leave early so you can go home to sleep and chill."

He widened his green eyes."Is that really alright?"

"It will be alright once i tell him."He chuckled,winking at him.

But suddenly his focus was at the end of the hallway,flinching slightly.

"Hey!Get off the animatronics you fucking eggplant!"He cursed more under his breath,rolling up his sleeves as he was ready to go and beat some sense into Vincent for disrespecting the big walking machines.

Jeremy couldn't help but laugh,as his cheeks were dusted with a pink colour.

His attention was back on the open manga,humming softly.

Maybe Mike is right.

I should relax once i get home.

Coming home,showering and putting yourself in warm pajamas.

One of the best feelings.

He plopped himself on the bed,nuzzling against the sheets with a smile.

All of his tiredness was finally meeting the relaxing bed.

And it was time to sleep,slowly closing his eyes.

Bing.

Not even a minute later,his phone got a notification,making him open his eyes.

He grabbed the phone from his nightstand,covering himself with the blankets to keep himself warm.

He noticed it was a notification from the anime community he was in,noticing a sudden hype for a new episode.

'Did you see the new episode with that magical girl?She is so cute!'

'Already one episode and i can tell it will be an awesome series.'

'First and possibly the best interactive anime i have ever seen,deserves a watch.'

Jeremy was intrigued,not having heard of this before.

He stood himself up,covering his body with the blanket and walking over to his computer.

He got himself comfortable on the chair,searching on his go to anime site for the new anime.

"The ordinary life of a magical girl."He read to himself,checking the genres and also the description."Is that a bootleg Sailor Moon?"

He hummed curious,raising an eyebrow.

He clicked on the episode,which started straight away with the opening.

"Come on!Sing with me!" A girl said,popping on the screen and waving.

She was wearing a typical high school uniform,having a beautiful (colour) complexion and (colour) hair which seemed soft to the touch.

The girl was singing,as she was walking down the street and going by her day,when suddenly the colours got darker,making her change into a magical girl charging at the villain.

The upbeat song ended,and the anime started.

Cherry blossom trees,blue sky.

The point of view of the character showed them running down the sidewalk,assuming being late for school.

But as the character was running,the girl from the opening bumped into the character,making them fall down.

"I am so sorry!I was in such a rush i didn't even notice where i was going!"The girl said,rubbing her head as she looked over to the character."Are you alright?"

Suddenly,dialogue options appeared on the screen,making him happily gasp.

Amazing!

He was so giddy and excited,having the opportunity to choose what happens next.

He read through the options,but suddenly noticed the option to type.

He didn't want to flex,but he considered himself somewhat fluent in Japanese.

He typed on the bar,pressing sent right after.

'Don't worry about it.The real question is if you are okay?I hope you didn't get hurt.'

The girl somewhat blushed,softly laughing.

"You look like such a shy guy yet your words exceed so much confidence!"

"Oh great,the character is shy as well."He rolled his eyes,since it was a usual trope in the anime world.

The girl dusted her skirt,looking down at the character as she extended her hand,to help him up.

"What's your name little cutie?"

He blushed,noticing the name options.

He wasn't really liking any of these and typed his name,taking her hand to stand up.

"Jeremy,huh?You must be a foreigner, right?You don't seem to be from around here."

He blinked surprised,not expecting the girl to actually say his name.

"Wow,they have done an amazing job with that anime.It's becoming so real."He rubbed the goosebumps along his arm,looking at the girl.

"So,Jeremy,do you want to follow me into my ordinary life as a basic high school girl?"

She asked cutely,slightly smiling.

"Couldn't you make it more obvious?"He softly laughed,shaking his head.

The girl frowned,placing her hands on her hips."You saw the damn opening,what do you expect,to tell you straight away what will happen?"

His green eyes went wide,almost falling off his chair with his blanket.

"Did she just hear me?!"He asked,shocked to himself.

She rolled her eyes,placing her hand on the screen.

"Will you follow me on my journey?"

A new option has appeared.

"Place your hand on the screen?"He read confused,raising an eyebrow.

He placed his hand on the screen,trying to match with hers.

"Like tha-!"

His words were cut off as her hand suddenly clutched around his,making him yelp.

His hand started disappearing into the screen as the girl was pulling him inside her world.

His mind was doing backflips,scared and confused of what was happening as his body was slowly being sucked into the computer screen.

He found himself falling on the concrete ground,groaning softly.

"What just happened?"He rubbed his brown hair locks,looking up to the girl who was smiling at him.

He screamed,backing away as he looked around to find the opening to go back home.

"I must be dreaming,there is no other way this is happening!"

The girl chuckled,shaking her head.

"You are so cute.No,this isn't a dream."She touched his hand,helping him stand up."See?You can touch me!"

He was still shocked,swallowing the lump in his throat.

He eased himself,taking a calmer look at his surroundings.

"It's actually,really pretty."

She smiled."Welcome to Japan Jeremy!"

He smiled slightly,seeing the cherry blossom trees,feeling the wind was slowly caressing his skin.

"Oh!I forgot to introduce myself!"The girl slightly bowed,giving him a smile."My name is Kimi no Na wa.Call me Kimi or Na wa for short,i don't mind!It's nice to meet you Jeremy!"

"It's nice meeting you too."He shyly said,bowing back at her."Can i ask you a question,Kimi?"

"Sure thing!"

"Why am i here?How did this even happen?"

She rubbed her arm,nervously laughing.

"Well,you see,many others have watched this episode but."She looked away,as her cheeks slightly turned red."You were the only one who interested me.You seemed such a nice cute guy."

He felt his cheeks slowly warming up,as his heart skipped a beat.

She finds me cute.

A girl finds me cute.

Is this really not a dream?

"So,are we in your world?Of magical girls?"

"Yes!This is the town i live in,and soon you will see my school!"She clapped happily,but suddenly noticed his attire."But i can't take you with me looking like this!You need a uniform!"

He parted his lips,about to say something but then her hand rested on top of his head,mumbling some words of magic as a small light emitted her palm,coating him with her magic.

She pulled her hand away,looking at him wearing the classic male high school uniform,making her smile.

"And now you are ready!"

He looked down at himself,slightly smiling.

"Is this really okay?I feel like i will be out of place."

"Don't worry about it!I will be here to guide you!Now,let's go before the bell rings!"

She grabbed his hand,pulling him down the sidewalk making him gasp,trying to keep up with her pace.

His green eyes were big from what he was seeing.

One of his dreams came true,as if he was actually living his anime fantasies.

The bell rang at the school,as they were quickly changing shoes in their little lockers.

"We are late again Senpai!Ugh,it is the last time i am waiting for you before school!"A ginger haired girl complained,pouting with her pink cheeks.

"I am sorry Osana,but like i said i bumped into someone this morning and-!"

"Excuses!Now let's go!"

She huffed,turning her heel and walking down the hallway with the black haired guy following.

Jeremy noticed a black haired girl following them,making him raise an eyebrow.

"Um,Kimi?There is that creepy girl who is following these two.Should we tell them?"

The girl looked over to the trio,shaking her head.

"Nah,it happens everytime.This Yamada guy is very popular with the girls for some reason."

Ah,i see.

A tsundere.

A yandere.

And a plain guy who for some reason has a harem of girls.

He rolled his eyes,following Kimi down the hallway.

"I promise,after school i will take you to all my favourite places!You will love it here!You will get to see what's the hype with everything in Japan!"

He couldn't help but smile at her excitement,but also he had an uneasy feeling along his spine.

Her (colour) eyes slightly sparkled,stopping and looking around the hallway.

"Wait,Jeremy.Do you feel it?"

He looked at her confused but also scared."I feel a bit on edge but i am not sure."

He shuttered,looking around with trembling legs.

Suddenly,a beast burst through a door,letting out an eerie scream.

"What the-!"

"Stay back!"

The monster with many arms and deep black circles all over it noticed them,letting out another eerie scream.

She huffed,pulling out her crystal and crashing it on her palm,as an aura surrounded her,transforming her into a magical girl.

"The occult club really needs to stop with their summonings."She said to herself,sighing softly as she launched at the monster,casting a spell of brightness to the monster,but that only made it angrier.

She jumped on top of it,looking through the holes to find the center of its core.

One of its arms reached Jeremy,but she quickly casted a shield spell over his body.

She breathed out,having her one hand holding the shield over Jeremy as she looked into one of the holes,dropping shards of amethyst inside.

It started shaking,coughing but also screaming.

She quickly jolted her body away,moving her fingers as she saying a spell,drawing with her fingers in mid-air and pushing the finished spell towards the beast,ending its demise.

She covered herself and Jeremy with a bigger shield as the explosion created vibrations along the building.

As the smoke was slowly going away,she removed the shield,looking over to him.

"Jeremy,i am so sorry i didn't want to get you into this mess."

His face was a mix of terror but also really amused.

"Incredible."He managed to utter out,looking up at her."I could have really died."

She rubbed her head nervously,suddenly noticing something coming out from the smoke.

Jeremy gasped,going behind Kimi for protection.

"Don't worry about it."She chuckled,ruffling his hair."It won't harm you now."

His green eyes looked at the ground,noticing a small spider.

"Wait,what."

She softly laughed,connecting her fingers together.

"Release."She mumbled,and changed back into her normal self.

She drew a small cage on her palm,letting the spider crawl inside before saying a spell,casting it away.

"I can't kill anything.It is against my powers to do such thing."She smiled softly,seeing his body slowly easing up.

"But why?Where do they go after this?You turn everything evil into animals or-!"

His curious questions were interrupted by the sound of heavy bells,making him gasp.

She exhaled deeply."Oh great,we are out of time."

"Out of time?"He asked,tilting his head confused.

She smiled."You silly boy,we are in an episode with a time limit!We will have to see each other next week on the new episode."

He was a bit disappointed that he had to leave,and she didn't want him to go either.

"I guess,i will see you the next time?"

He asked,lifting his green eyes up towards her,making her blush and smile.

"Surely!Take care Jeremy!"

A small white portal opened behind him,as he felt himself falling into it.

And with a sharp inhale,he found himself back on the chair.

He looked down at himself,noticing his pajamas.

He looked at the screen,as the episode has ended and he couldn't replay it.

A small smile was along his lips,resting himself back on his chair.

Until next week again.

I felt myself getting lost in each episode.

Week after week.

Being in this crazy world where you are the heroine,and also an ordinary girl.

Showing me the beauty of each point in the city.

You are something more than just this persona of a magical girl.

You have character.

You are unique.

And getting to know you more,i was falling more and more in love.

Which was my mistake.

The scenery of a peaceful walkway with cherry blosson trees,as the petals were gently being caressed by the wind and being landed next to them.

They were sitting on the bench,eating delicious crepes after another successful fight.

"This crepe shop will be the death of me!"She said,taking another bite as she had sparkles surrounding her.

Jeremy laughed,finishing his crepe and throwing the paper and napkin to a recyclable bin.

"So,this is it huh?"

She commented with a sigh,wiping her mouth with the napkin."The final episode."

He didn't want to be reminded that.

He didn't want to remember that this journey came to an end.

"I will miss you Jeremy.It was so fun having you around.And honestly,everything will be so dull if you go."

She lowered her head,trying to control herself from tearing up.

"It was the best twenty four episodes of my life with you."

He was taken aback,feeling his heart slowly sinking into his chest.

He cracked a small smile,wrapping an arm around her figure.

"I have lived my life more in those twenty four episodes than in my real life.And honestly,i don't want to go.I want this to be my reality."

His trembling hand reached to hers,carefully holding them.

"I will stay."

She widened her eyes,looking up at him with a blurry vision.

"But you can't do that!It will automatically kick you out!And if you resist more maybe it will-!"

"Calm yourself."He softly laughed,but in reality he was hiding the pain with just a smile.

Building up courage next to her.

Building up confidence to say things he won't regret.

So his words won't be broken like any other time.

She smiled,feeling a small tear down her cheek.

Say it,before he leaves.

Say how much he means to you.

Even if he goes away.

"I am so proud of you Jeremy.I want you to take this with you in the real world,how far you have come as a person.Having yourself put together,i want others to see how such a lovable and shy guy can really show some confidence in himself."

He smiled,using the back of his hand to wipe her tears away.

"That's because you helped me.You showed me Japan,one of my favourites places in the world.You pushed me to try things that in real life,i would avoid.I am finally living my life and not just surviving."

"I think you are overreacting."Her voice cracked,gazing away with red cheeks.

Jeremy smiled,scooting closer to her and hugging her tightly.

"I am not going back.This is my reality now.A reality i won't have to regret for every move or word i say and do."

"Jeremy."Tears were blocking her vision,afraid of what might happen to him."I don't want something bad happen to you.I care about you."

She looked up at him,feeling his hand resting on her wet cheek.

"Kimi."A small hesitation in his voice,swallowing hard."I really-!"

But he was interrupted as the portal opened.

He widened his eyes,holding on to the bench."No!"

He looked over to her,as she was trying to hold him close to her,but she felt herself being pulled back from an unknown upper force.

"Jeremy,please,i don't want to let go."Her hands were weak,trying to hold on to his hands,but it was almost impossible.

He sadly smiled,giving her a weak smile."It's okay.Don't worry about it."

A small tear ran down his cheek,looking into her sad eyes.

"Just remember that i love you.It took me twenty four episodes to say it but i guess it's better now or never."

Her eyes went wide,feeling him slipping right under her fingertips as she watched him slowly being sucked into the portal.

"Jeremy i lo-!"She wasn't quick to say it,as he was vanished into the portal,bursting into small sparkly pieces through the air.

Jeremy blinked his eyes open with a gasp,looking at himself.

He gazed at the computer screen,seeing the site was slightly glitching out,but he could still make out her face from all these pixilated glitches.

He lowered his head,exhaling deeply.

At least i said it.

Now i won't regret not telling her.

He eased himself back on the chair,staring at the ceiling.

Memories flashed through his mind,all the fights,the funny moments,the hang outs,the exploring.

He couldn't help but smile,rubbing his eyes with a heavy sigh.

"Jeremy!Wake your ass up,you have the day shift!"

Mike called from downstairs,making him stand up from his chair.

He changed into his uniform,placing the security hat on top of his messy brown hair.

He got himself downstairs,seeing Mike was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.

"Do you have the day off?" Jeremy asked him as he grabbed a sandwich with jam that was on the table.

"Yes and hey!I just made that for me!"

Jeremy giggled,swallowing the piece."And it's delicious!You should make one for yourself!"

Mike was rather surprised by his happy attitude,not being used to seeing him so happy in his words.

He was used to decode his shuttering voice,but this was a pleasant change which made him smile.

Jeremy finished the sandwich just when the bus stopped at the bus stop,walking inside,paying for the ticket and trying to squeeze himself between the mass of people.

He swallowed hard,blushing at the close contact as he was in a rather uncomfortable spot.

His hand reached to grab the pole to support himself the moment the bus started moving,only to feel the people to squeeze on to him more.

The bus stopped at another stop,before it started moving again.

The new person didn't grab on to something which resulted to them falling down.

Jeremy gasped,lowering himself carefully.

"Are you alright?I can give you my spot so you won't fall again and get hurt."

The girl groaned,rubbing her knees as she stood up,following the young man's lead and supporting herself on the pole.

"Thank you so much."She lifted her head up,smiling at him.

His heart skipped a beat,as his green eyes went wide.

The same hair,the same eyes,the same everything.

The same smile.

"No problem,i wouldn't let you like that,it can be dangerous."

He blushed bright red,which matched her cheeks making her look away embarrassed.

Maybe it's a sign.

A chance i shouldn't let go.

He inhaled sharply,gripping at the pole tightly.

"My name is Jeremy."

She looked back at him slightly surprised,smiling softly.

Because now,you are in my reality.

"My name is (Y/N).Nice to meet you,Jeremy."
