A tale as old as time.(Knight Mike x Knight Male Reader)
A/n:requested by Bella986520 ^^
This is a usual fairytale,of a young man falling in love with the princess.
A tale as old as time.
Two human beings meant for each other.
But sometimes.
Tales have a twist in them.
My eyelids felt heavy upon opening them, feeling the sunlight against my skin.
Pressing my palms against my eyes, slowly rubbing them as I lifted my body off the bed.
"(Y/N)?Are you awake?"The gentle voice of my mother could be heard from outside my bedroom door,as it slowly opened.
Her smile made me smile,
looking over to her.
"Good morning mother."I exhaled, getting my feet on the floor."Give me a few minutes and I will be dressed up in no time!"
The older woman softly laughed, walking out and closing the door.
I put myself in my attire of potato sacks,as known as,peasant clothes.
I moved myself over to the bucket with water next to my bed, splashing my face, softly gasping because it was actually cold.
With a rag,I dried my face, feeling ready for the day.
I walked out of my room, seeing my mother was waiting in the kitchen, holding a basket.
I opened a cabinet and grabbed a small pouch of coins, walking towards her.
"Are you ready for a walk at the market?"
"Yes son, let's go so I can cook you and your father."
She wrapped her hand around my arm, walking outside of our little home.
The day was sunny,as many villagers were walking over to the plaza.
I walked with my mother over to the fruits and vegetables, letting her look at them and pick.
My eyes shifted along the crowd,as I couldn't help but notice the whole commotion near a salesman shop.
I approached, feeling intrigued, and peeked over to see the salesman and a jestress playing a card game.
The man was surprised, but mostly angry, calling her different names.
"Move aside people."
A voice from behind me called out, hearing the horse's feet against the ground.
I moved my body aside, only to see a white horse, and on top of it was sitting a knight in a shining armor, gripping on the horses reins.
But something that immediately stood out, wasn't the shine of the armor,or the castle's emblem in gold.
But his eyes.
His fierce blue eyes would have you on edge.
And those eyes, looked over to my side.
My eyes went wide,as we made eye contact.
He looked back in front of him, talking to the jestress and the angry salesman.
"(Y/N)?"
My mother's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, looking back and seeing her holding up the basket,as another man who was the owner waited for his payment.
I swallowed hard, looking back at the knight one last time before pulling out the pouch with coins, paying the man.
What was that feeling?
That feeling of your legs losing the ground underneath them?
~~
Mother did the essential buying for the house, and we still had some coins left.
They will last us for another day.
I thought to myself as I weighted the pouch on my palm, softly humming.
As we approached our house,we noticed the familiar figure of my father standing at the doorstep.
Something wasn't right.
Father wasn't happy.
His head was lowered, and possibly his cheeks were stained with tears.
"Father!"I quickly approached him,as my mother followed my moves soon after."What's wrong?"
He turned his body around, holding a rolled up paper, sealed with the King's sign on it.
And this when I noticed, that my father was still wearing his knight armor.
He would always remove it when he was home.
Why he is still wearing it?
I grabbed the paper, breaking the wax seal sign and reading through the calligraphy letters.
My mother leaned herself against my arm,as her breath hitched.
"What does it say,son?"
My hands slightly crumbled the paper, looking over to my father.
"The King wants to send him out on a mission outside of our lands. And it is not guaranteed he will come back."
Her hand covered her mouth,as tears started building up.
"No."She looked over to him,as she rushed into his embrace, letting her tears to fall."Not again!I almost lost you the first time!"
It was true, until I was five years old,my father wasn't home, and when he returned,he was seriously wounded, but continued working at the King's side.
My father was hugging my crying mother so close, nuzzling his face against her.
"You aren't going anywhere."
His tired eyes looked over to me.
I was upset,angry.
How could they be so cruel to let an old man go to a mission, not sure that he will survive?
I looked over to the horse, grabbing the reins and getting myself on top of the saddle.
"(Y/N),please no."
I didn't let his words get to me,getting the horse to move, riding it towards the castle.
Gripping the paper in my hand,I finally arrived at the gate, noticing a few knights at the opening and archers at the wall.
"I demand to speak to the King."I showed the paper."I am representing my father,of the house of (L/N)."
A knight walked closer,checking the paper with a hum,nodding.
"Get off your horse and follow me."
I followed his orders, getting off my horse and following him.
My feet were walking on marble and red carpets, feeling as if I was dirtying the palace.
To hell I care,i would tear the castle down if I have to.
The knight went to knock on the large doors, but I simply pushed them open, walking inside the throne room.
His majesty, was sitting on his throne,as another man was placed by his side, gasping and guarding the King.
"You!How dare you burst in like that in the King's presence?"
His brown eyes frowned, and I huffed, looking behind him.
The King was looking at me,rather confused, but also interested to the sudden surprise.
"I,the only son of (F/N=Father's Name),from the house of (L/N),want to take my father's position into the mission."
My hand lifted up the crumbled up paper.
"Impossible! We cannot accept a young man to take a position that needs years of experience!"
The right hand of the King exclaimed, snapping his fingers as i looked back, seeing the knights were approaching.
"I beg you!"
My knees fell on the marble floor, feeling as if it was my last choice.
"My father is old and unable to fight anymore! If we lose him,my mother won't be able to support us!Please,I just want them to live peacefully!"
The knights grabbed my arms, standing me up and dragging me away from the throne.
"Please my King!Show some mercy to my father!Take me as whatever you want, but please!"
Then he stood up,slowly pushing away his assistant who was guarding him.
"That's enough, leave the man to come close."
The knights left my arms, feeling them slightly sore.
I approached the standing King, looking into his eyes with a short breath.
"What's your name,young man?"
"(Y/N),your highness."
"Your age?"
"Twenty years old."
He hummed,rubbing his cheek.
"With some training,I guess you could take the place of a standard knight."
He snapped his fingers, looking back."Scott, inform all units that the mission will be postponed until further notice.Until this young man is ready, they aren't going anywhere."
The tall male felt hesitant by the King's orders, blinking his eyes.
"But,your highness, the other kingdom units are prepared to-!"
"Send emergency letters to all of them." He glared over to him, clenching his jaw."That's an order."
He swallowed hard, nodding and bowing to him.
"Whatever you wish,your majesty."
The King smiled, looking over to my direction.
"Tomorrow I want you bright and early here.Your training will start as soon as possible. And just because I gave you this chance, that doesn't mean I am going to go easy on you.Your training will be hard and intense,I will have the best of my people to train you so I can make sure I will send you to that mission. So be prepared."
My heart felt heavy, but I knew I was doing the right thing.
"It would be an honor to serve you, your majesty."I bowed my body."Thank you."
"You can go now."
I lifted myself up,seeing the small smile along his dark skin.
I turned my feet the other way, walking slowly outside.
Finally I arrived at my house, tying the reins of the horse on a wooden pole, gazing at the door.
I pushed it open, seeing at the round table my two anxious parents.
Their eyes quickly shifted to the creaking door,as my mother quickly stood up and rushed into my arms, hugging me tightly.
I hugged back my mother, exhaling deeply.
But my eyes couldn't help but look at the figure of my father.
My mother pulled away, only for my father to hug me after.
"It is alright now father."
My hand rubbed his back, pressing my face against his shoulder.
"You can rest now."
~~
Dawn was nearing, meaning I must be at the castle just before the sun comes up to the sky.
The armor felt heavy on my body, and a bit bigger.
But I must hold on to it,as my father was wearing it.
Honoring it.
I looked at my parent's sleeping figures one last time, taking a deep breath.
The horse was waiting outside, letting my hand caress its head.
I never thought of myself in that position.
I never thought of what I wanted to do in my life.
Family always was top priority, and always would be.
So even if I end up not liking the knight work,I know I would be doing it for the sake of my father.
With thoughts circling my mind,I finally reached the gate once again.
The guard knights took my horse, and then guided me to a different area of the castle, noticing it was on the way back, seeing dirt and some obstacles.
I parted my lips to ask the knight a question, but he was quickly out of sight.
"You."
I raised an eyebrow, suddenly feeling a push on my back and falling down, as a shoe pressed against my head.
"You are the one who canceled our mission!"
The angry tone of his voice made me swallow hard, realizing that maybe he was the one who will train me.
"Excuse me i-!"
"Don't talk without my permission!" He huffed, pressing the foot more against my head.
He removed his foot, walking in front of me,as my eyes were focusing on his feet.
"You would refer to me as Ser Schmidt, and only that, now stand yourself up and state your name you pathetic scumbag!"
As if i would let you call me like that!
With a huff,I pushed myself up,looking at him with frowned eyebrows.
"Who do you-!"
But my words were cut off, realizing who he was.
Blue eyes.
His helmet was off, noticing his clean shaved head,as his eyes held that irritating look.
"I said,state your damn name!"
He yelled on my face, crossing his arms.
I straightened my posture, clearing my throat.
"(Y/N) (L/N),ser."
He slightly smirked.
"Good.Now,remove your armor."
I blinked.
"Excuse me?"
"Are you deaf or you can't follow simple orders?Remove your armor!"
I took a step back, finding myself a bit taken aback.
I removed the heavy armor off my body, feeling a slight relief.
I was wearing the peasant clothes underneath, and then I noticed him removing his armor as well.
"Grab a shield and a sword."
He pointed towards the tables with different weapons, and I nodded.
My (colour) eyes shifted amongst the different weapons, feeling lost and clueless.
My hands grabbed a random shield and a sword, almost weighting me down as I turned my attention back at him.
He was holding his own sword and shield.
"First lesson, fighting without your armor.I want to see your strength."
He got into position, and I followed his moves, since I had no idea.
He launched forward, making me gasp as I covered myself with the shield, feeling the intense hit all over my body, making me fall on my knees.
I huffed, using my sword to attack his feet but he jumped, kicking on my wrist and pushing the blade away.
His sword stuck slightly on the shield, and using that situation,he propped himself forward, landing himself behind me.
He managed with the small jump to pull the sword out and the tip of it press slightly against my back, widening my eyes.
"You lose."
He exhaled,pulling himself away.
"We have a lot of work to do."
He looked down at me,since I was still sitting on the grass.
"Why you wanted to take part in this,i have no idea, you are clearly not meant to be a knight."
He grabbed the weapons, placing them back on the tables.
"I am not doing this because I was always dreaming to be a knight!"
He froze in place,as I managed to stand up.
"I am doing this so my father can finally rest,be with his wife and live happily and not wake up everyday fearing for his life!"
I clenched at my shirt, where my heart was beating.
"I promise to you, with a hand on my heart that I will try my best, give you my best,so my parents won't have to worry about anything anymore. So please,I beg you, don't show mercy and train me until I am worth fighting beside you!"
His tall figure slowly turned around, looking at me in the eyes as he was death glaring me.
Oh no.
I messed up.
"Please,ser Schmidt."
He sighed,rubbing his forehead.
"To start with, you were using a wrong sword.Swords and shields are fit in a specific body type so it can be easier to carry and use."
I blinked,rather surprised.
"Wait, you won't yell at me for raising my voice at you?"
He chuckled,leaning against the table.
"No,because of you were honest. You were honest with your intentions. And also you were the first to talk back at me,so I guess I can respect that."
I couldn't help but slightly smile.
"But don't let that become a habit of yours.I will not go easy on you!"
"Please don't,ser!"
I bowed slightly, and I could tell he was slightly smirking.
"Now now,we don't have many days in our disposal! You have many things to learn!"
He clapped his hands together, making me nod.
Five days.
He said we would only need five days.
Day one;learning how to stand and use my sword without the armor.
Day two;Techniques and combat with other knights.
Day three;Armor training.
Day four;Training with the horse, how i could use my weapons while riding.
Day five;Rescue training and how to treat wounds in the middle of a battlefield.
Working non-stop,all day and then in between all these training i had to work on my body physique.
I had to sweat so I could reach the final level.
To be named a knight.
"You have came a long way in five days."
My mentor commented, making my eyes shift towards him and seeing him smile.
"But don't you think because you will become a knight you will be above me,got it donkey face?"
He ruffled my hair, making me chuckle.
"I owe you everything.Without your guidance,I would be dead within the first minutes in battle.Thank you for being strict to me,without hesitating, ser Schmidt."
I bowed to him, only to feel his hand on my shoulder.
"Suit yourself up knight. We are even now." He smiled, holding his hand out for a handshake."After the ceremony, just call me Mike."
If I could die in a sudden heartbeat,I would right now.
The way his eyes were for once calm, and the smile he rarely had.
My hand wrapped around his, shaking it,as if we just met.
"Now,let us go to the ceremony, and then we are celebrating after!"
I was surprised,slightly smiling.
"Celebrating?"
"You will see!It is a knight tradition!"
The large doors suddenly opened, catching us off guard.
"Move, move!" Mike mumbled, pushing me slightly forward.
I gulped, walking down the red carpet that was leading to the throne, which the King was standing with his sword.
The whole castle was present, watching me walk my way down the carpet.
I kneeled at the King, clenching my hands into fists.
"(Y/N) (L/N),your bravery to join the knight unit has been remarkable, knowing that a proper training for a knight takes months,or even longer. But you have shown excellent work, thanks to your mentor, ser Mike Schmidt."
I felt my breath softly hitch at the sound of his name.
He was strict, but that strict to make me nervous to my knees?
My heart is fluttering, but not in a bad way.
Why?
"And with that being said.I,King of this castle,Vincent William Afton, make you with his sword."I felt the blade slightly resting on my left shoulder."A worthy knight of my castle."
And then moved the blade to my other shoulder, lifting it up.
"Now stand yourself up,Ser (L/N)."
I lifted my head up,looking at the King and thanking him.
I stood myself up,hearing everyone cheering and congratulating me.
The knights, who I have been in training combat with, walked over to me,smacking my back and cheering,as they were teasing me all the way.
Tomorrow we were leaving for the mission, after days of waiting, finally we would be leaving.
But before that,we were celebrating.
All the knights had gathered up in the wine cellar, drinking from wine bottles,to even beers in large cups.
They were singing and dancing, drinking over the limit,to the point that liquid from the cups and bottles were falling on the floor.
I don't even remember how we got down there.
Everything is so foggy.
I groaned,rubbing my eyes with a hiccup.
I managed to see from the corner of my eye a familiar figure, who was slowly leaving the cellar.
With the whole commotion of singing and dancing,my voice couldn't be heard,so I pushed myself up and followed the figure.
"Leaving already ser Mike?" I managed to utter out when I reached the doorway.
"If I stayed more I would have been dead from so much beer." He chuckled, rubbing his pink cheeks.
"Oh come on,it is our last night to shake our little bones before they find them on the battlefield." I softly laughed, taking a sip from my liquor.
"Don't say nonsense (L/N)!We will all survive!" He huffed, slightly stumbling around.
I tried to move myself forward, but I almost fell, making him laugh.
"You are awful." He chuckled,as his hands tried to stand me up."I will take you to your room first."
"You are as equally bad as me!"
"Hm,no!At least I still have sense and know what is going on."
He ruffled my hair, making me pout.
The stairs were sure a pain to climb on,but at least the assigned rooms for the knights weren't that far away from the cellar.
"Mike?"
He hummed,as if to continue,as his eyes were looking for my bedroom door.
My arm was over his shoulder, dragging my feet along the expensive carpet.
My face was really close to his, feeling my heartbeats intense once again.
"I would do anything to protect you,you know that right?"I swallowed hard, trying to pick up my words."I would throw myself in front of you and take any hit, because you mean that much to me."
Mike was taken aback,as his cheeks were getting brighter in colour.
"Don't say nonsense like that!No one is dying for anyone!"
"You don't get it!"I slurred,pushing him against a door.
"(Y/N)!"He was panicking,as i tried my best to keep my composure.
"We came so close these days,I feel like I have known you for years!"
I didn't know what I was saying at that moment.
I just did.
My heart was feeling heavy with so many emotions.
"And everyday,I feel like I have been falling more and more in love with you."
My head pressed against his chest,as i breathed out heavily.
"You did something to me Mike.My heart."My trembling hand gripped at my shirt."My heart aches for you every time I see you, damnit!"
I lifted up my head, feeling tears escaping my eyes.
"My heart aches to hold you so gently, and kiss those lips of yours.Kiss you so tenderly."
I felt myself falling on the floor, but his large hands gripped at my wrists, pulling me close with a gasp.
"For Lord's sake. Why it has to be like that?"
My head tilted, both from feeling heavy and also because i was confused.
"Mike." My voice trailed off,but he twisted the doorknob of the door he was leaning against, getting us both inside.
I stumbled slightly, but then he yanked me back at his body, closing the door.
"Look at me in the eyes and tell me."He swallowed hard, cupping my cheeks."Tell me you meant those things (Y/N)."
My eyelids slightly fell, but lips built up a stupid smile.
"Mike, you have made me feel this way like no other can.I may be crazy and sick, call me that. But the thought of you alone makes my heart flutter."
"Then I guess,i can be called sick too."
My eyes went wide, feeling my breath trap on my throat with a gasp,as his lips pressed against mine so gently.
The feeling of euphoria was washing all over my body.
His lips tasted like the beer he was drinking, but my mind was too numb to comprehend anything at that moment.
Is it wrong?
It doesn't feel wrong.
His lips didn't feel wrong pressed against mine.
Am I sick?
People will call me sick and crazy.
But I didn't feel any remorse saying those things,or even feeling his lips.
I felt myself happy.
Happily lost in his embrace.
He pulled his lips away, brushing his shaky hand along my hair and pulling them away from my face.
Our noses gently touched, feeling his long exhale along my lips.
My head was spinning, possibly from the alcohol and the emotions.
I swallowed hard, taking his hand and placing it on my torso, looking into his eyes.
"You make it go so fast, every time I look into those eyes of yours."
His large fingers gently gribbed at my shirt,as his forehead pressed against mine.
"Christ, you make me feel so different."
He was cursing under his breath,as his nose traced along my cheek and neck, making my back arch.
"I cannot resist no more."
A gasp escaped my lips,as his fingers ran along my neck, feeling my intense pulse.
His lips found mine again, feeling the needy muscle of his mouth entering mine, getting our kiss more and more passionate.
I don't know how one thing leaded to another.
How our shirts found their way on the floor.
How our lips were kissing other parts of our body.
How our bodies were laid on the bed so lovingly.
The only thing I knew.
It was that,at that moment,I admitted to myself how madly in love i was with you.
I realised how much I was craving the need of your touch.
Your lips.
Your embrace.
Even if people will call me a lunatic and sick.
Then i will love it.
Knowing that my crazy love would be because of you.
~~
I felt my eyelids heavy, but managed to open them up.
With a groan,I let my body roll over, feeling the soft sheets brushing against my exposed body.
A sudden chill rushed through my body,as my eyes went wide.
I sat up on the bed, covering my crotch with the bedsheet as my eyes shifted next to me.
Mike was sitting there.
His back was facing me.
"Get yourself ready,we are leaving in less than fifteen minutes."
I felt my heart sting, gripping on the bedsheets.
"Wait,Mike." My voice cracked, trying to get a hold of myself."About last night, were you honest with your feelings?"
He grabbed his shirt from the floor, wearing it over his head and then fixed his shoes.
Silence.
"Mike."
He stood up,still not saying anything.
I pushed my body off the bed, quickly grabbing his wrist and turning him around to face me.
"Answer me damnit! Were those feelings real last night?"
His blue eyes frowned.
"Don't let alcohol make you sybaritic."He yanked his wrist away from my grip, feeling lost from words.
He exhaled, and then walked out, slamming the door to close behind him.
It wasn't words or actions of alcohol.
I genuinely feel deep love for you.
Evey time tears would stain my cheeks,I would wipe them away quickly, not wanting to be noticed from others.
I placed the helmet on my head, letting even more tears to fall.
Our knight unit was ready.
The King gave us his blessing to return safe and sound.
Mike was leading the unit, with me beside him as we were riding our horses.
Silence.
Not even saying something more from when we were at the bedroom.
I moved my horse a bit closer to his, swallowing hard.
"Mike."
No response.
"Mike,please,can we talk?"
Nothing again.
His gaze was pierced forward, not looking any other way.
My hand reached towards his,but he slapped it away.
"Please, concentrate on the mission ser (L/N)."
He moved forward with his horse, leaving me slightly behind.
I feel so much pain.
My heart feels like it is breaking into a million little pieces.
I messed up.
I truly messed up with that one person who made me feel this beautiful way.
He was lying to me last night?
Was it pity?
My vision became blurry from tears, trying to shake them away.
For the first time i feel like this, and I don't know how to act.
His sudden gasp made me jolt up,as he pulled out his sword.
"They have attacked the other units! We need to move now!"
The others followed him with rushing horses, and I pulled out my sword as well, grabbing the shield from behind me.
The barbarians have ambushed the other units from the other kingdoms, painting red the green grass along with knight corpses.
My blade found its way to some barbarianns' throats and heads, using my shield to cover my body from arrow attacks.
But it wasn't soon enough I was off my horse, since one of them used their cudgels to smack my horse's legs, causing the poor animal to yelp in pain as I was quickly off the saddle.
"One wrong move, and I am slicing her throat!"
My head turned over to the voices, seeing a tall buff man holding a young woman, having his curved sword against her neck.
That's it.
That's our mission.
The princess.
Mike was there, walking slowly and steadily towards him.
"Just give me the princess and we will retreat."
"And lose this beautiful little girl? Not really." He grinned, twirling her blonde hair locks between his fingers, licking her rosy cheek.
"You damned bastard! You are going to die!"
But one thing Mike didn't think,it was behind him one of the barbarians was approaching him.
I jolted forward, sliding along the grass and covering his back with my shield, making the barbarian's sword stuck on it.
Mike gasped, looking back to see me.
"You lunatic,what are you doing?!"
"I am protecting you,ser!Like I told you I would!"
I softly huffed, looking into his eyes, knowing it wasn't the right time and place to speak those things.
I parted my lips to speak, only for a shriek to escape,as a sharp blade of a dagger found my right shoulder.
"(Y/N)!"
His eyes held panic as i fell on the ground, seeing him killing the barbarian who stabbed me.
"The bastard is escaping with the princess.Go!" I coughed, looking at my wound.
His eyes shifted,as if trying to control himself from tearing up.
"I have got your back!I would even sacrifice myself for you damnit.Just go before we lose him!"
Raising my voice wasn't a part of myself.
But I needed to do that so he can pick himself and move again.
He nodded, looking over to the direction the barbarian ran off with the princess.
I looked at my bloody hand, inhaling and exhaling rather deeply.
I shouldn't remove the dagger,or else I will lose blood.
I tried to stand myself up,but the pain was simply horrible.
I felt dizzy again.
But not good dizziness this time.
I laid myself on the ground, looking up at the cloudy sky.
My eyes closed for a moment, only to be open again from a droplet on my cheek.
And then another one.
Another one.
I softly gasped once I felt my body moving, seeing a figure next to me trying to stand me up.
"What kind of knight falls from his first battle?"
The voice chuckled, making me softly smile.
That voice.
He was back.
"You thought I would leave you behind?"He wrapped my arm around his shoulder."Not on my watch donkey face!"
I softly laughed, though hissing from the stinging pain.
I looked at my dropped shoulder, seeing a ripped cloth around the wound.
He even found time to treat my wound.
"Ser!Please ser, walk a little slower,I cannot catch up with you!"
The female voice of the princess came running from behind us,almost out of breath.
"Well, now you have to walk faster princess,we need to get back to the castle and make sure everyone is alright."
She didn't say anything, but I could tell she was probably annoyed.
The walk back home was rather long, with not many horses left to carry us and the remaining knights.
A storm was nearing.
A rather bad one to be exact.
We have finally arrived.
Sweaty, covered in blood and mud, exhausted and soaking wet from the rain.
The maids noticed our presence and quickly walked outside to help us get inside.
"My lord!Look at you poor thing!I will take you to the doctor's castle right away!" One maid said, taking me in her arms.
"Wait,no."I couldn't resist,as my body didn't have much strength."Mike,please,don't leave me again."
He simply smiled, passing me over to the lady.
We got separated once again, clenching my hand with a huff.
Damnit.
Damnit!
Another maid came along, helping her lift me as well as they moved me towards the doctor's room.
Some of the men made it.
Some others not.
Some were even hurt really badly.
I didn't know how long the battle lasted.
Some said it was going back and forth for hours.
I must have lost consciousness.
"Make sure not to move your right arm too much."The doctor smiled, tying the knot on the the cloth he used to cover the wound.
"Thank you, sir." I slightly bowed, and then stood up.
"Uh,where you going? You should be resting!"
I didn't listen to him,and walked out of the room.
I didn't want to lose a second.
I need to find Mike.
I can't just let it go like that.
Approaching to the throne room,I noticed the doors slightly open,as well as people were talking.
From curiosity,I peeked my head slightly in,seeing the King, his assistant,Mike still in his armor and the princess in clean clothes.
"I am more than happy to see you alive, princess."
"Well, your highness,I wouldn't be standing here if it wasn't for all your brave knights!" Her blue eyes shifted towards Mike."Especially this one."
Mike was surprised,bowing to her.
"It was my mission princess."
She giggled,tugging at her dress.
"Raise your head my brave knight.Because I have a question to ask you."
He raised an eyebrow, straightening his posture and looking over to her.
"From a little girl,i dreamed for a knight in shining armor with a white horse saving me from the evil! And you, made it come true.So as a thank you."She held out a handkerchief with the first letter of her name sewed on it.
"I,Chicatrus II,would make you the honor of giving you my hand to marriage."
Everyone's eyes went wide.
"Princess." The King's voice seemed hesitant."You cannot make this decision for yourself so suddenly without your parents' presence."
"I am the princess!I can choose my prince charming like father promised to me!He saved me so even my parents would approve him!"
She huffed,looking over to Mike.
"Ser Mike,your answer please."
Her sweet smile gave off something eerie,as he was tensing up in his position.
I felt my legs being cut off from their knees, breathing heavily.
He inhaled and exhaled, kneeling before the princess and taking the handkerchief from her hand.
"It would be an honor, your majesty."
Her eyes shined from happiness,as he gripped into the thin small cloth.
Huh.
You couldn't say no,could you Mike?
How could you say no to a princess?
It is much better than a low life peasant boy who came to become a knight to protect his family.
I walked away from the large doors, slowly stepping towards anywhere, not knowing where I was going anymore in the large castle.
Oh the pain.
The pain of a broken heart.
Giving it love,hope and attention.
And then crashing it all up.
Who was the wrong one between us?
I was honest.
Were you honest,Mike?
I should have known than to hope for something between us.
We would have been called crazy, sick and twisted.
We were two Romeos,in a story that there was a Juliet.
But in the end of that story..
Who will be the one to die?
