1955.(Scott x Reader)

A/n:requested by MythicalMeowz ^^ I just wanted to say that some elements i have put in the story aren't exactly in 1955,but generally around the 50's era. Also, the song Strangers in the night by Frank Sinatra was amazing for the story but i stayed true to the era since it was released in 1966.Not wanting to idolize completely the 50's,i am just giving out its best moments with music and things that have been brought out from these years.I am a big sucker for 50's and 80's,but in no means i don't support the amount of racism, sexism etc that was going on around that time. The time?Wonderful. Some people? Not so wonderful.

"(Y/N)!The orders for table 8 and 7 are ready!"

Her mother called out from the kitchen, chewing on her gum.

The young lady shifted her eyes from the small notebook, moving her body with the roller skates she was wearing towards the kitchen.

"One scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes." She left the paper with the orders towards her, taking the plates on her hands as she skated her way towards the tables.

"Oi young chick!Change the music."

She chuckled at the old man's request, and after she delivered the orders she skated towards the jukebox.

She hummed in thought, looking through the selection.

She smiled, putting the song Hound Dog from Elvis Presley.

You ain't nothin' but a hound dog,
Cryin' all the time.
You ain't nothin' but a hound dog,
Cryin' all the time.
Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit and you ain't no friend of mine.

She carefully danced to the song, skating her way into the kitchen and seeing her mother was cooking one of the orders.

The older lady smiled, seeing her daughter was dancing around.

"Are there any leftovers in the icebox?" She said, having a hungry tummy as she opened the fridge.

"Hungry again (Y/N)?"

"Skating can be tiring!" She pouted, closing the fridge door as she skated towards her."Do you want any help?"

"No,no.I need your pretty face out there to take orders."

The small bell from the door opening echoed in the diner, making her look from the small window of the kitchen.

Her (colour) eyes widened,gasping.

From her point of view, she could only see a young tall male with dark brown hair slightly styled to the side, wearing a white shirt that had the sleeves rolled up slightly.

He looked around, finding an empty seat and grabbing the menu.

"Well isn't he quite the stud."

"Mom!" She blushed madly, looking away as her mother looked at her with a smirk.

"Go on.You have an order to take."

(Y/N) fixed her little hat on her hair, dusting slightly her dress with the apron on it as she skated out of the kitchen.

She had a full view of him, noticing him he was wearing jeans with rolled up hemlines at the end, with dark brown leather distressed combat boots.

She cleared her throat, smiling sweetly as she skated towards his table.

"Welcome at the Fazbear Diner. What can I get you?"

She had a pen and her small notebook,as the young male looked up at her with a small smile.

She tried to hold back her blush, but she couldn't help but notice how handsome he was.

"What do you suggest me,dolly?"

His voice made her spine shiver,as she pointed at the menu with her pen.

"If you are really hungry then pancakes or waffles for sure.If not, then scrambled eggs with bacon with some pieces of toast."

He hummed in thought, gently tapping his combat boot against the tile floor.

"Surprise me."He put the menu down, looking up at her with a small smirk."Also coffee too."

She was taken aback, gripping on the small notebook.

"Alright." She hesitantly said with a smile, skating her way inside the kitchen.

"(Y/N) what happened, you look as if you saw a ghost!"

"He said to surprise him."

Her mother tilted her head, being a little confused."And that is bad because?"

"I can't mess this up mom! This guy is like heaven sent!"

She chuckled, giving her two plates and she took them.

"You are so on the hook for him.Go and give out these orders,I will make sure to cook something good that will make him come back."

She slightly blushed, using her hip to push open the door as she gave the orders to the right tables.

After some time, she returned to his table, making him smile.

"What do you have for me dolly?"

Her cheeks got warm, placing the plate with the breakfast in front of him along with a cup of coffee.

"Enjoy!"

She turned around, wanting to skate away from embarrassment.

She hid herself in the kitchen again, watching him from the small window.

He took a bite, looking outside of the window and smiled, taking a sip from the coffee.

"I think he likes it!"

"A way to a man's heart is from his stomach. That's how I got your dad hooked on me."

She said proudly, making her daughter roll her eyes.

"But (Y/N)."

Her voice,suddenly got serious.

She looked back at her mother, seeing her tired eyes as she gave her a smile.

"I know looks can really attract someone. But this isn't everything.Yes,he has the looks, but what about on the inside?"

She lowered her head, feeling her mother's hand on her back.

"Don't jump on him like those boy kookie girls.Take your time and get to know him."

"Alright.I am sorry." She rubbed her arm, looking back at her as her mother caressed her (colour) hair with a smile.

"Don't be sorry for loving someone. But make sure first you really love that someone before you go all out."

She nodded, wrapping her arms around her mother and hugging her tightly.

A few orders and skating around later, the guy had finished and was ready to leave.

She noticed him standing up,gasping softly as she skated quickly towards him.

"Did you like it?"

He stopped on his tracks from her voice, looking back with a toothy smile.

"Definitely.Expect me more around here dolly."

She gently bit her bottom lip, slightly gripping at her dress.

He walked towards the exit, opening the door.

"(Y/N)."

She couldn't see it,but he actually smiled, glancing back.

Her eyes with his met, making her breath hitch.

"Scott."

He softly smirked, and then walked away.

Her cheeks couldn't stop blushing, looking over to the table and seeing the money on it.

Scott.

I hope I get to see you again.

~~

Another day, another shift at the diner.

The young girl looked through the songs, putting another hit on the jukebox as she danced to it with a smile on her face.

She slided into the kitchen, taking the milkshake she made for herself as she was dancing to the song.

She skated back outside, licking her lip from the whipped cream as she gently bit the cherry, only to stumble slightly after seeing a familiar face.

He actually came back.

I wasn't ready for that.

He removed his jean jacket, walking towards an empty table.

Her inner world was screaming from enthusiasm, skating towards him from the back.

She placed her hands on his shoulders, slightly making him jump.

"What's shaking daddy-O?"

He smiled, looking at her as she skated to come face to face with him.

"Dolly,glad to see you around."

She smiled,as he tried to hold back a small chuckle.

"Nice touch on your nose there."

She widened her eyes, covering her nose feeling a bit of the whipped cream, making her cheeks bright red.

He laughed,as she was probably melting from embarrassed.

"I find it adorable, don't feel bad!"He carefully ran his fingers through his hair, looking around."Dolly,do you have a horn here?I need to make a call."

"On the back." She showed behind her, still covering her nose.

He stood up,and she looked up at him, noticing his large hand gently taking hers off her face, teasing her nose with the whipped cream.

They both blushed, but he couldn't help but chuckle as he walked away.

She touched her nose, having a stupid smile with the small blush along her cheeks.

"Hot mama, give some of your body on my plate."

Her expression turned into disgust, recognizing the voice.

She turned around, noticing a group of males were sitting on the back table.

The male who talked stood up,making her cross her arms as she glared at him.

"Still here Ben?"

"Why?I can't enjoy some food while looking at that stacked classy chassis of yours?"

His hands sneaked around her waist, but she slapped them away.

"Cut the gas you vulgar bastard.I want nothing to do with you!"

She pushed his figure off of her body, about to skate away.

But he gripped her hand tightly, making her hiss.

"Who do you think you are that you can talk back at me woman?Learn your place and listen to the man!"

She frowned, trying to yank her hand away.

"That's not how you treat a lovely chick."

She gasped, looking over to the male who wore an angry expression at the blonde's actions.

He walked towards her side, getting her hand off his grip as the shorter male sized him with his eyes.

His friends stood up,standing behind him.

"What's your bag man? This has nothing to do with you." Ben said with a huff, crossing his arms.

Scott's arm wrapped protectively around her, making her blush.

"The fact that you treat a woman like an animal. Those actions are for an ape man not a true man."

Ben clenched his jaw."You are cruisin' for a bruisin',cat."He gently broke his knuckles,as he was getting ready for a fist fight.

The dark haired male chuckled, shaking his head.

"You are not scaring me.You are just a wimp with big words."He lifted his hand, showing him the middle finger."So climb it Tarzan and get bent."

"Why you-"

"Hey!No fighting in my diner!" Her mother walked out, having her hands on her hips with a huff."You hot rodders are nothing but trouble!Get lost before I call the police!"

Ben huffed, nearing close to Scott with a glare.

"We are not done.Next time i will make sure you stick that finger up your ass." He bumped his shoulder as he walked away with his friends were following.

He sighed,looking down at her.

She was a speechless blushing mess.

But when she noticed his eyes were focusing on her,she quickly snapped out of it.

"I am sorry!I have had some trouble with that group for quite a while and now you dragged yourself into this too. This dude has long greens and thinks he can do whatever he likes."

She lowered her head, rubbing her arm.

He rested a hand on her shoulder, and she looked up at him, noticing his smile.

"Don't worry about it.I am usually never this angry, but when this happened I wanted to step in."

"Thank you though." She smiled sweetly, earning from him a hair tease, making her chuckle.

He walked back to his table,as she skated towards him.

"What time do you finish?"

His question caught her off guard, looking at him with a small blush.

He blushed, noticing he was maybe too forward with it,and looked away.

"Forget about it."

She smiled, glancing at the clock that was hanging on the wall.

"Around eight.Why the question?"

He rubbed his wrist, still avoiding her gaze.

"I was thinking if you wanted to go and watch a flick together."

She smiled widely.

"I love drive-in movie theaters! What flick is playing today?"

He found himself some courage as he looked up at her with a smile.

"The Seven Year Itch."

She gasped.

"I wanted to see this movie!"

He smiled, feeling his heart was slightly skipping a beat.

Her enthusiasm about the things she likes really made him happy.

"I will wait for you then once you finish."

She looked at him surprised."You will?"

He nodded, grabbing the menu."And while I am waiting, bring me another surprise dish."

She chuckled.

"One '(Y/N) surprise dish' for the cool cat over here is coming right away!"

They both gently laughed,as she skated herself inside the kitchen with a blush.

~~

The time was eight in the evening.

The girl was in the bathroom, changing into her casual clothes.

She swallowed hard, fixing her button up shirt which sleeves stopped right above her elbows.

She made sure the belt was around her jeans nicely,as she rolled up the hemline of the jeans above her ankles.

She slipped her feet inside some black flat shoes, and then tied her dolly bow making the knot visible on the top, fixing her hair.

She smiled, feeling confident in herself as she walked outside of the bathroom and walking towards the kitchen.

"Mom?"

Her mother was munching on something, since the diner had closed for the day.

She looked over to her with a smile.

"Hey sweetie,I made you some dinner, come join me."

She walked closer, but her mother noticed she didn't touch her food.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing!Everything is fine, just tonight." Her voice trailed off, looking away."I will go and watch a flick with Scott."

The older woman took a moment to remember the guy,but then it clicked to her and smiled.

"Ah,I see. Then I hope you have fun and pay attention to the movie.I don't want any funny business on the back seat."

She widened her eyes with a blush."Mom!I just met the guy,i would never! He is very cool head too,he wouldn't just,do that."

She squinted her eyes, looking at her daughter with a small smirk.

"Maybe some necking then?"

"Mom!Ugh!" She turned around,clearly embarrassed."I am going."

"Have fun and be careful!"

She walked out of the kitchen, seeing the male was still sitting at the table.

He was humming the tune from the jukebox with a smile.

Everybody knows where you go when the sun goes down,
I think you only live to see the lights of town.
I wasted my time when I would try, try, try,
When the lights have lost their glow you're gonna cry, cry, cry.

She smiled, nearing the table and seeing he had closed his eyes, softly singing to himself the song.

He felt her presence, opening his eyes as he looked at her.

"Nice threads you got there (Y/N).Finally i see you in something different than the diner outfit."

She chuckled, and he stood up wearing his jacket.

They walked outside,as the neon signs from outside of the diner were still on,shining the concrete ground.

"Is that a Chevrolet convertible?" She said in shock, nearing the red car that its hood was flipped down.

He chuckled, pulling out from his pocket the car keys."You know your cars i see."

She looked in awe, carefully running her fingertips over the red shiny car hood.

"These cars are simply beautiful."

"It was my dream car and I finally got it.You are saying I made a good choice?"

He looked over to her with a playful smirk, making her chuckle.

"The best!"

He chuckled back,shaking his head.

"Alright dolly, hop in and let's get ourselves to watch the flick."

She literally hopped inside, since the hood was down, and he opened the car door, getting inside.

~~

"Gosh, that was a blast!I love Marilyn. That bathtub filled with bubbles looked so relaxing,I wish I could do that, but my mom would chop me up for using so much water."

She pouted, making Scott chuckle as he drove off the theater, getting back on the road.

"I think that scene with her flying skirt was very funny." Scott commented, making her nod.

His brown eyes slightly shifted towards her, noticing she was looking around the buildings that they were passing by.

He looked forward again, tapping his fingers on the wheel.

There were silent.

Maybe because they were still getting to know each other, and things weren't so smooth.

"Can I take you somewhere,dolly?"

"Depends on the where." She glared at him, making him chuckle.

"No worries. It is kind of close."

"Righto."

Silence again.

The radio was on,so it wouldn't be that uncomfortable.

The song that was playing was From Here to Enternity by Frank Sinatra.

She smiled, closing her eyes and softly singing to the song.

"You vowed your love
From here to eternity
A love so true,
It never would die."

Scott slightly blushed, looking over to her with a small smile, and then back at the road.

"You gave your lips,
Gave them so willingly.
How could I know,
Your kiss meant goodbye?"

He started singing too, making her look at him surprised.

"Now I'm alone,
With only a memory.
My empty arms
Will never know why.."

She cracked a small smile, still looking at him as she continued singing along with him.

"Though you are gone
This love that you left with me,this endless desire
will live...
From here to eternity."

They sang the high end with a laugh,as (Y/N) was moving her arms in the air, doing silly moves with her hands.

And that kept going, singing together whatever song came on the radio and making silly faces and voices as well.

From that point, they started talking again and easing up on themselves as they opened up to each other.

"Oh my God,your mom is watching the 'I love Lucy' too?"

"She is obsessed!"

She chuckled, shaking her head."Our mothers for sure would get along!"

"God,the gossiping about those TV characters."

"I know right!"

He laughed, stopping at the red light.

He looked over to her, smiling happily.

"Dolly,you are simply the ginchiest."

Her cheeks turned a bright red,and he chuckled to her blushing cheeks.

But he was hiding his blush too, feeling his heart was beating fast.

They finally arrived at their destination, stopping right before the edge.

She got outside of the car, noticing they were in a cliff.

But she couldn't help but notice the view.

The town was decorated with lights from either stores or street lights, some were going off as some others were appearing.

"Wow."

He smiled, sitting himself on the car hood.

She joined him, sitting as well and she kept looking at the town.

"Sometimes in the busy town,I miss the silence."

"I understand you.I would have came here everyday if I knew about it."

He slightly curled up his fingers, biting nervously his lip.

"Do you want to come here together then?"

Her cheeks got that red colour again, looking over to him with a sweet smile.

"I would love that."

He eased himself after her answer, returning the smile.

His brown eyes gazed into her (colour) ones,as the breeze gently brushed against their skins and clothes.

The radio was still playing in the back, adding a little tune into the peaceful silence.

Wise men say only fools rush in,
But I can't help falling in love with you.
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin,
If I can't help falling in love with you?

They inched closer,not knowing why.

She was unsure, thinking it was too soon.

But her heart was pulling her towards him.

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes,
Some things are meant to be.
Take my hand, take my whole life too,
For I can't help falling in love with you.

His hand rested on top of hers, gently touching their lips together.

Their hearts did a small jump against their rib cage,as if they were beating in the same rhythm with each other.

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes,
Some things are meant to be.
Take my hand, take my whole life too,
For I can't help falling in love with you
For I can't help falling in love with you.

He slightly pulled away, his other hand hesitantly neared her cheek,as his fingertips gently traced along her warm cheek.

They looked into each other's eyes, and she felt her chest was getting heavy with her racing heart.

"(Y/N),I don't want a casual relationship where we can grow old together."

She blinked her eyes in confusion, slightly tighting her hand under his.

"I want to stay young with you so we can love each other like we do now."

Her lips slowly built up a smile, pressing her cheek against his hand and nuzzling against his palm with a happy sigh.

Love.

Such a strong word for two people to use in such a short period of time.

But I guess,love doesn't care about time.

If it happens,it happened.

No matter the time, situation, people,or even if it was a look in the eye that sparked the fire between them.

Everything was perfect for that moment.

The atmosphere, the place, the music, and the feelings that they have started slowly developing for each other.

In 1955 we were young, and stayed young,as we loved each other like it was the first time.
