Job Interview

As soon as I walked out of Party Room 1, I looked around for any signs of the manager's office. I didn't remember seeing anything resembling a manager's office when we came in.

"Can I help you?" a grisly voice asked.

I turned towards the security office and saw the guard staring at me.

"I'm looking for the manager's office," I replied. He just continued to stare at me.

"Why? Do you have a complaint?"

A corn cob was less yellow than his teeth.

"No," I replied. "I'm trying to get a job here." His eyes widened.

"You sure you wanna do that?" He asked.

"...Yes..."

He then gave a small chuckle to himself.

"Head back to the main area. There's a doorway between the Prize Counter and Game Area that'll lead to Kids Cove. Through there, you'll find the office."

"Thanks," I replied.

"Sure," he mumbled as he looked back at the screen.

I then went down the hallway and into the main area again. Sure enough, there was a doorway labeled 'Kids Cove' above it. I went inside and found a bunch of toddlers running around the place. There were some drawing, some singing, and some...tearing apart an animatronic??

It looked like some sort of female fox with a white face, blush, and lipstick. But it was so mangled up that it was hard to tell what it was. The little kids kept ripping it apart and putting its parts in different places, like a robotic Mr. Potato Head.

I then found a doorway on the left that read 'Management'. This must be the place. I walked up to it and knocked on the door.

"Yes?" I heard a male voice call from inside. I could barely hear it over the screams of toddlers.

"Excuse me," I told him, "but I'm here about a job offer."

A few seconds passed before a man opened the door and stared at me. He looked like he was in his early 50's.

"So, you want to work here?" He asked.

"Yes," I replied.

He then gave a small nod and signaled for me to step inside. Once I was in, he had me sit in a chair in front of his desk. He then sat behind the desk and pulled out a pen and a piece of paper.

"What's your name?" He asked me.

"Jeremy Fitzgerald," I replied. He then began writing on the paper.

"Age?"

"17"

More writing.

"Any previous working experience?"

"Nope."

He looked up at me.

"None at all?" He asked.

"No," I replied.

"Hm..."

He then began writing again.

"Why do you want to work here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?"

"I want to get some money for a car," I admitted. "This place seems like a fun place to work at."

He then gave a small smile.

"It is," he replied. He then wrote yet again.

"Well, Mr. Fitzgerald, we don't have many jobs available at the moment," he admitted. "Our only available options as of now are janitors, mechanics, and security guards."

Well, I hated cleaning as it is; cleaning after kids would just be a nightmare. And I knew nothing about mechanics, so that was out.

"What would a security guard do?" I asked.

"Well, we're looking for someone to work the night shift," he explained. "You'd work from 12 am to 6 am every night. All it pretty much is is watching the security feed and keeping an eye on things."

"So, it's pretty simple?"

He paused before replying, "Yes. It's pretty simple."

I thought about this for a second. None of this sounded difficult at all, and the paycheck would at least help a bit.

"Alright," I said. "I'll take the night shift."

"Good to hear!" He replied with a grin. "Can you start tonight at midnight?"

"Of course!"

"Well, then welcome to the new Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Mr. Fitzgerald!"

We then shook hands. It was official. I got my summer job! I really hoped it was as simple as the manager claimed it was.
