JayDick; Warmth..

Dick has never been good with the cold, no matter how heated his suit could be upgraded. He's always felt the cold, felt the chill to his very bones once winter hits Gotham. Babs had once joked that the universe he was turned into a Talon was sending his cold to his other selves to function in winter better. The joker earned a few laughs and a handful of fake laughs.

But it was a known fact that winter wasn't coming or already here without Dick knowing about it first. The moment the original boy wonder showed signs of feeling cold, they knew winter was on it's way. The point t hat the boy wonder hid how frozen he was, winter was at full blast.

Nothing seemed to fight back the chill in the winter air, nothing kept the frozen shivers from his spine. The clattering of his teeth and his trembling limbs were all others saw of first Robin during the winter months.

Nightwing was pitiful enough that even Dr Freeze would tap out of any fights with him and await for another bat to swap places with him to carry out his fight instead. Dick never complained, he was happy to swap fights if it meant he wouldn't be trapped in ice during winter.

So, Jason wasn't surprised that the moment patrol had grown slow on the coldest night of the month so far, his boyfriend had appeared on his roof. It wasn't actual Jason's roof, it was just one he preferred to take his breaks on most of the time and hold a full view of his section of Gotham.

Jason merely assumed that Dick had came to sneak in some extra cuddling while things were slow. Always coming after one bat or bird to steal as much of their body heat as he dared with hugs and clinging to them. Jason being his favourite due to his higher body temperature compared to others, all courtesy to the Lazarus Pit and Jason understood the old bat's worry over Dick throwing himself into the pit during his next fight with Talia in hopes of gaining such higher body heat for himself. Jason had a feeling Dick would let himself be stabbed by Talia a handful of times so he could flip into the Lazarus Pit in hopes for a warmer body.

It's why Jason was happy to be his boyfriend's personal moving size heater all year out. With him about, he didn't have to worry over finding his precious big bird drowning himself on purpose in the Lazarus Pit.

Preparing his fate, as always, Jason lifted his arms and stepped further away from the rooftop edge for his boyfriend to leap into his awaiting arms. Instead of a quick cuddle section, Jason found himself attacked with the most cruellest betrayal he's ever faced. Cold everything.

"Go home if you can't function-YOU FUCKING SHIT!" Red Hood started to say before yelping out in complain as Dick slithered under his leather jacket, slipping his arms into his sleeves from behind and underneath Jason's jacket now. Leaving Nightwing's everything frozen to ice body pressed against his very toasty body.

"Personal body heaters shouldn't cuss so much" Nightwing commented dryly, pressing a kiss with chilly lips to the back of his boyfriend's neck and sending an icy shiver down his spine instead of an butterfly in my stomachs ones that Jason normally gets from their kisses.

"Most don't have to deal with your hands of bloody death. Jesus, Dickhead. The last reaper I met was a lot warmer and he was fucking death himself" Red Hood snapped back as he tried wrestling his boyfriend out of his damn jacket, knowing he'd personally freeze to death if his boyfriend's cold body stayed glued to him like this.

"I'll warm up soon. Let me borrow some of you inhuman high body heat for a few minutes. My toes have gone numb, my everything has grown numb" Nightwing whined back with his kicked puppy expression, wiggling with Jason as he clung to the heat filling the jacket.

Jason is Red Hood.

He's done a lot of crap to make people both fear and respect.

As well as done a lot of decent shit to make others admire him.

Jason held no boss, he was his own boss and he shot anyone who thought otherwise.

But no one won against a cold Nightwing who had cling to the first warmth he's felt all night.

Hence, Jason was sat on the edge of the rooftop sulking as his boyfriend sat cuddled up against his side and wearing his stolen leather jacket. Jason watched as his boyfriend swung his legs in the childishly, giving a happy hum over the warmth coming from both the jacket and Jason, heating himself up gleefully.

Jason was going to shoot him the moment spring comes along. He'd care and treat the wound afterwards since he was a very loving and caring boyfriend that never liked seeing his other half suffer. But he was still going to shoot Dick for stealing his jacket, right from where he had been wearing it. Stupid bendy and inhuman stretch body that felt more like water than flesh sometimes.

Dick cheated in their fight, he used his melting abilities somehow and Jason will prove his boyfriend is a meta someday.

BirdFlash; Talon Dick/Hot Chocolate..

Wally loves the lazy days in winter.

Loves his husband is an ex husband since it meant that the coldest nights of winter means they get to stay home and be kept off shift. Unless it's world ending of course.

Wally loves Dick more than him getting them extra days off in winter. He knew his boyfriend never deserved to be forced into becoming an Talon and he shouldn't be forced to forever be weak to the cold.

But it meant they got to cherish precious moments like tonight.

Wally found himself buried among the blanket nest he builds for every winter and invites everyone who needs an escape from the cold. The blanket nest could hold all members of the batfam and friends at once.

As well as keep the chilly air out, it keeps the combined heat gathered inside trapped inside. No leaks of heat unless someone damages part of the nest and no one would dare to do that. It's very loved by all who has gotten the chance to use it every winter.

Cuddled inside to his favourite person in every universe, Wally buries his face deeper into his husband's shoulder as they watch Polar Express on the tv they've plugged inside the blanket nest. Dick's favourite Christmas film, it's grown to be Wally's too by the pure joy it brings his jolly husband.

And it gives him endless supply of hot chocolates while watching too.

The cling of mugs clanking together makes Wally lift his head, resting his chin on his husband's shoulder instead and glancing to where his hands held his own mug. Arms wrapped around his husband, keeping him tucked against his chest and between his legs like a cage of body heat to warm his dear husband.

Dick's mug held tightly but with care in his own grey hands, normally tucked to his chest to help warm himself between sips but was now held close to Wally's. Clicking their mugs together like a toast as the Hot Chocolate scene plays on the tv. Dick involving Wally in the magic of the film without forcing him to sing along.

And Wally finds himself humming to the song instead, clinging his mug back to his husband's and cherishing the precious moment they've found themselves having yet again during winter.

Forever looking forward to every freezing day that comes in winter since it means he'd be able to spend it with his husband in the blanket next and falling further and further in love with him. Sharing hot chocolate and cuddling the chilly air away.

Nights like tonight always left Wally feeling the warmest and he knew it was all due to the ex talon that he had fell helplessly in love with all those years ago and never stopped falling for.

BruDick; Night-Claus..

(It's not my fault that I just love Night-Claus so much. It's always so fun to write and play with)

Bruce had agreed that Damian deserved a childhood. He wasn't sure how to fully give his youngest son a childhood but he was learning as he went.

But Christmas had left him clueless.

He wasn't sure if his son would want to hold faith in Santa Claus or might have felt to hold faith in something else or not hold any link to Christmas at all. Christmas day could be spent in so many different ways that Bruce wasn't sure if he should encourage his son down one route or let him explore them all in one day somehow. He was sure he could shove it all in a single day if he planned and schedule it well enough.

But when he had mentioned it to wards Alfred, the aging butler had clearly and very openly judged him before he finished explaining his idea. Instead, the butler sighed, shook his head and left to find Damian himself.

Bruce followed like a puppy who was craving for some attention and listened in on his foster father's conversation to his son. Listening as Alfred had simply asked Damian his thoughts over Christmas day and how he may wish to spend it.

It was such an simple and obvious answer to Bruce's worrying that Bruce felt like he didn't deserve to be the greatest detective anymore and should give his cowl to Alfred instead.

Damian didn't believe in Santa Claus, even if he's seen the photo Bruce has taken with the white beaded man in a red suit. Bruce has show off the photo to all the children he's taken in, giving them the chance to decide on how to spend their Christmas's in the manor.

But Damian did believe in Night-Claus.

The hero and anti hero Santa that covers not just heroes but their families and friends as well. Night-Claus remembers those that had been forgotten or left out by Santa in the past. Night-Claus giving everyone a second chance and placing them all on the nice list, rarely using the naughty list since he knew that life was more grey and colourful than just black and white.

Damian had decided that Night-Claus was the only one he could count on to not see him as a monster or the Al Ghul heir that was more of a tool for his grandfather to use.

So, Batman reached out to Night-Claus in secret.

Night-Claus had an untraceable, even to a bat, phone number and an email for heroes, no matter what aged, and their friends to send request for him to visit them or those they know. As well as pass on any preferences or half demands needed from him during his visit to not wake certain meta children with super hearing or to leave a present outside someone's house so their safe place isn't entered without their consent.

Almost anything asked over Night-Claus is done and everyone he's ever visited has talked highly over him. No complains ever told.

The only issue with Night-Claus was that he was unknown to everyone, even to the bats. He worked on trust in him alone, for others to place their Christmas trust in him to bring them a single bit of precious joy by the time they wake Christmas morning.

Batman had looked into Night-Claus the first couple years he had appeared out of nowhere. Gotten Tim to try and track him down while getting Cass to try and stalk Night-Claus another year. But no one has ever learnt his true identity, it left Jason mentioning that maybe he didn't have one. That Night-Claus was just Night-Claus. A Christmas spirit created by heroes and anti-heroes longing wishes or he was a meta created for a single role.

Batman didn't like giving up but he had no other leads. He just hoped that Night-Claus wasn't secretly a threat or turn on them someday in the future. That the trust placed in Night-Claus wasn't a foolish thing to do.

But for this Christmas, Batman had sent an email in good will. No traps or plans created to capture and expose Night-Claus. He merely asked for the jolly Night-Claus to bring some Christmas joy to his youngest son. Hoping he hasn't insulted or burnt too many bridges with Night-Claus to not be helped by the stranger.

He was left worrying for most of Christmas. Growing bad enough that he didn't join his husband nor his children to decorate the whole manor for Christmas.

Missing out on the handful of snowball fights that happened during the day and during the nights with a slow patrol.

Passing on the half finished list to his husband to take Alfred to do the Christmas shopping for their children instead. Including leaving his husband to buy his own Christmas present too. Dick wasn't overly pleased with that but Bruce was too distracted with his worry to notice.

Nor did he notice how all his children gave him the cold shoulder due to him growing so distant with the whole family and leaving Dick to mother hen them all as always but be their only parenting support and actual parent for them to lean on.

It all came to a head when Christmas eve finally arrived, Dick got to watch both his husband and his youngest pace along the manor's many rooms as they wait for night to come. Neither counting down the hours for their short Christmas eve patrol but for Night-Claus arrival.

It left Dick watching fondly, with a tiny bit of amusement mixed in.

Dick was woken from his well earned sleep by his husband sitting up straight in their bed the moment he realized morning having came. Snatching his phone from his bedside table and dialling all his children that were either staying at the safe houses in Gotham, the penthouse or in their own rooms at the manor.

Asking the same question to every single one of them.

"Did Night-Claus come?"

And all of them, sleepily and upset, wobbling out of bed to check their stockings and finding a single blue wrapped present in all different shapes and sizes to suit their taste in a preferred present.

Night-Claus had paid them all a visit since their return from patrol in the very early hours of the morning, Batman cutting patrol short since it was Christmas eve. Sadly he couldn't allow them to all enjoy a lay in though. Dick wasn't going to share any drinks with his husband since he knew at least three of their kids, would be spitting in his drinks all day as revenge for him acting like someone spat in his coffee all month.

Dick's rather certain that he even saw Commissioner Gordon dropping a case file on purpose in a puddle last week as petty revenge for Batman's distracted and worse mood than normal.

Bruce, of course at hearing the news that Night-Claus had visited his other children soon hurried out of bed. Leaving Dick to whine over the cold breeze being forced upon him before he curled further under the cover, stealing it all.

Yawning before chuckling to himself as his husband rushed out of their room, clearly planning to check if Night-Claus had visiting their youngest last night. Doors slamming shut in the distance proving the handful of their kids staying at the manor were returning to bed and didn't expect to be disturbed again.

Dick hearing the small cheery laugh coming from his husband that proved he had found their youngest already wide awake and staring in awe towards the blue present he's dropped out from his stocking. Bruce nodding encouraging for their youngest to open it and watch as Damian was gifted a stuffed toy that looked just like the snake he had hidden from his mother back on the island when he was a toddler. Damian hasn't told a soul over it, proving only some magical like Night-Claus could have known about it. And now, why the snake was unfairly killed by the League assassin, following orders from his grandfather as evidence to not care for those not worthy of your respect, Damian had an exact stuffed animal copy over the missed pet that he could hug and cherish without fear over it being stolen a second time from him.

Dick found himself smiling goofily into his pillow, feeling rather pleased with himself and rewarding himself with a few extra hours of sleep. Stealing the whole bed for himself as he knew he deserved being a bed hogger for the morning.

Night-Claus was perfectly skilled and talented to leave presents for all heroes, anti-heroes, families and friends to the hero community.

But Dick Grayson-Wayne was even better to hide being Night-Claus from the bats themselves.

RoyDick; Ice Skating..

Roy was surprised to learn that Dick had never ice skated before. He always assumed the boy wonder had done it one way or another, not counting fighting on ice against icy rogues. Because fighting on ice created by criminals was NOT ice skating, Roy would die on that hill.

So, during a hang out between the first three sidekicks, Speedy, Kidflash and Robin, it had been let slip. Robin had never ice skated. Wally and he knew it was Dick, they've all exposed their identities to each other in secret by now.

It was the most shocking thing in Roy's life.

Because Dick was talented at almost everything he's ever tried and he'd soon master the things he hasn't gotten around to trying yet. Stuff linked to daily life or night life, Dick was perfect at almost all of it.

Cooking got overlooked because clearly someone as pretty and perfect as Dick needed an imperfection to stop the human race from turning mad in their admiration and jealousy.

"The Circus would travel to hotter countries during winter. Do shows for them and we'd take a month off after new years. We always did a Christmas and New year's special in hot countries. We've never stayed long enough for somewhere to freeze ice over anything. My first snow experience was Gotham and that was more ash at first. Dr Freeze was my experience of ice and snow before I'd be sent on missions with B to colder countries in winter and experience that freezing horror as Robin" Dick had told them so casual that everyone would have assumed it was completely normal to have experience winter for the first time by a snow themed villain.

And Roy found that unacceptable.

None of them had the best childhoods, some of them had some luck with some good guardians but it didn't always last. And those that gained a happy ending still had their rouge patches. Being a kid or teen hero didn't really give you much of an boring normal childhood.

So, Roy somehow got Dick to agree to being kidnapped by him.

Dick was sixteen, normally teenagers went out until dark or left late at night with their parents worrying sick for them at home. But for Robin, he was meant to be training before patrol and once night hits, patrolling. And Roy felt an urgent rush to get Dick to experience Ice Skating when he was still a teenager, to experience a random childhood memory that holds no link to a mission or hero life before Dick was forced to grow even more mature and grown up once his teen years end.

Roy was going to give Dick a memory to cherish in his childhood as just.. Dick Grayson.

They took the zeta tubes during the middle of the day to somewhere chilly and cold. Safe lakes to ice skate on that they opened up business to rent ice skates from beside the lakes. It was less busy due to the time they arrived but it was perfect for Dick to be as free as a bird during his first ice skating experience.

No need to be an perfection or do something right from first go. Dick could fall over as many times as he must or cling to Roy like an horse trying to stand for the first time. Heck, Roy is prepared to laugh himself to death as they slip and slide on the ice together.

And if Dick learns to skate like a pro, it'd be a skill he learn for the fun of it and not because he felt he had to know it for whatever reason.

"Ready?" Roy asks as he stands on the ice in his rented ice skates, holding both of Dick's hands as he hasn't yet to step onto the ice.

"Don't let go of my hands" Dick demands, grip tightening to Roy's hands as he stares down shakily towards the ice.

"Only if we fall" Roy promises him.

And that's good enough for Dick before he steps on, mostly jumps onto the ice and ends up slipping because of it. But Roy has him, keeps him on his feet and pulls him from the edge. Slowly letting them just slide across the ice, hands in hands, and letting Dick get a feel for the ice.

No one stares at them, no one laughs and no one gives a damn fuck about them. No one cares over two strangers on the ice, one clearly learning to skate for the first time. Instead, all the few strangers about are distracted with their own ice skating enjoyment or learning to skate themselves.

It leaves them invisible without having to try and it's freeing.

They're just two strangers that no one would remember or second glance at unless they were checking them out.

And Dick's laughter at the realization was music to Roy's ears.

They skate for some time, a short period of Roy skating backwards as he stays holding both of Dick's hands. Ready to catch him if he starts falling. Before they move to only holding one hand together and skating side by side.

They fall a few times before grinning and getting back up. Laughing when they slip and slide before returning to their leisurely skate.

They just have fun and make the most magically memory together.

A memory that ends with Roy dropping Dick back off at Gotham Academy, Dick having never actual went to any of his classes even after Alfred had dropped him off and Dick pressing a sweet kiss to Roy's lips before running inside the school gate. Ready to leave the school building and act like he's been in school all day when Alfred collects him.

Roy's left heading home with the biggest smile on his face and the brightest blush he's ever had before.

KonDick; Bells..

(Kon from Young Justice)

Kon kept hearing bells.

All throughout the night, he only heard bells.

No footsteps, no breaths taken and no hints over someone else being in the cave.

He only heard bells.

It was annoying, turning him madder quicker than Cadmus could or monkeys.

And he really hated monkeys.

So, if he got caught for being out of his room in the middle of the night or in trouble for stomping through the cave's corridors, he'd blame it on the bells too.

Ring, ring, ring.

Dingle Dangle, dingle dangle, dingle dangle.

Chime, chime, chime.

Tinkle, tinkle, tinkle.

That's all he's been hearing for the past two hours and it was leaving him frustratingly mad.

He once didn't mind bells, liked how they sounded but now he was ready to crush every single bell on the planet.

If time travel was ever invented, he'd murder whoever came up with bells and make sure bells are never invented afterwards either.

Bells could suck it as he's heard Kidflash mention over something that bugs him, like homework.

And hearing the bells once more, they could definitely suck it.

So, he filed with glee and victory as he finally found where the bells were and where the sound had been coming from.

Though, as he stood before the object, he was certainly left confused on why someone had seemed to only have wrapped it in bells alone.

No pretty bow, no nice wrapping paper, no patterned boxes just bells.

The bells were silver, gold, bronze and a few even red.

All just bells.

The same bells that had been driving him crazy all damn night.

"Not the face I was expecting to photograph when learning you were now a motorbike owner.. I'm actual underwhelmed. And you know how I like to stay just whelmed" Dick admitted with an grimace as he lowers his camera, having hoped to capture a much better expression when his boyfriend saw his new and first motorcycle.

"You did this?" Kon asked, eyes still sending an melting glare towards the bells and wishing he had heat vision.

"It's my belated Christmas present to you. Wanted to give it to you sooner but Joker decided to bring Christmas to Gotham his own style and I never got the chance to bring it from the batcave to here. Not until tonight at least" Dick explained with an sheepish smile as he scratched the back of his head and knowing it's a little late. He brought it over the moment Gotham was safe and he could slip away.

"I hate you" Kon huffed out as he crossed his arms over his chest angrily, knowing who he could pin his irritation on now.

"Wha!? Why?! Is it the colour? I can have it repainted. I thought you'd like the blue and red. Superman fan and all" Dick cries back helplessly, standing a little startled as he swapped his glances between the bike and his boyfriend. Not seeing where he went wrong, he thought it was paint colour.

"Why did you think it was a good idea to wrap it in bells only? That's all I've been hearing for the past two hours. They've kept me awake all night!" Kon snapped back in frustration as he glared towards his boyfriend, knowing he was the reason he's been suffering the whole time.

"Oh.. Sorry" Dick mutters back guiltily, shoulders slumping as he realized what he's done.

"Still waiting on that explanation?" Kon grumbled back, sulking.

"You mentioned liking bells. You said the sound was pretty and comfortable on your ears. I thought you'd find the motorbike more cheery wrapped with bells. I um.. I forgot about the super hearing for a second there. Wanted it to be nice on both the eyes and ears for you" Dick shyly muttered as he shuffled on the spot, feeling guilty and embarrassed over the whole incident when he was just trying to do something nice for his boyfriend with his present.

"But I mentioned liking bells during my first ever Christmas, most would have forgotten over it. Y-You remembered that about me?" Kon replied in surprise, arms dropping to his side as he stared at his boyfriend in awe. No one has truly remembered much from his early days of being saved apart for his dislike of Monkeys.

"I try to remember all the likes and dislikes of people I care for. More so the ones I love and hope to have a future with someday" Dick admitted with a soft look as he raised his gaze to the one he loves. His eyes smitten for the clone before him.

"We're already dating, what otherwise future could we have together?" Kon blurted back, ruining the mood a little as he already thought they had a sealed future together by dating.

"Marriage. A shared home. But dating is fine with me if you aren't good with weddings" Dick quietly replied as he looked everywhere but his boyfriend. Not brave enough to see if he'd be interesting to stay dating forever or if rejection would fill his expression over how far of a future Dick saw them happening if things stayed going well.

"The next bell I ever hear better be on our wedding day by the Church or I'm crushing the bell with my very hands. Understood?" Kon warns his boyfriend with a tired sigh as he steps over, pulling him into a hug and knowing he was his end game.

"Better get married now otherwise you won't be wanting to use the helmet I bought with the bike. I wrapped it in bells too" Dick nervously smiles, soon pressing a quick kiss to his boyfriend's cheek before wiggling free to remove the bells from the helmet.
