Background: Damian took Dick in during the year batman was "dead" and Tim gave up the chance to be batman due to finding his adopted father. The rest of their siblings either too young to be batman or refused, having carved their own path. Damian took Dick back to the league of Assassins with him once he was no longer welcome after Bruce's return. Rising Richard as his own son on the island with Colin as his spouse, a retired hero who left when Damian was fired by Batman at seventeen.

Dick believed that some people were fated to meet in almost every life.

That some held a certain bond or had done something truly worthy to deserve being a passing face in the next life at least. 

And one of those fated people to Dick were Kidflash. 

Dick was keen to be Robin, his own hero beside his Batman. He never wanted to steel Batlad from Jason or any of the other former Batlads, Batboys and that strange Bat-guy awkward phase that no one in the batclan talks about since.  

Dick never wanted to be Batman's shadow, he wanted to be his light. 

Robin was born and Batlad, Jason, was left to parner up with Shadow, Terry. 

Signal would spend a couple weeks in Gotham to help patrol Gotham since Red Bat, Tim, had gone travelling to find Bruce and return him home. Black Bat and Batgirl were both teens who could hold their own but sometimes Gotham needed all the bat hands able to be given on some nights. 

But than Signal would return to blüdhaven, he made the small city his own home and had settled as an adult there. Gotham wasn't a place he truly called home anymore and he thrived better in blüdhaven as his own hero without an obvious link to the bats. 

Shadow would take Batlad to patrol the poor side of Gotham, both taking it as their duty to protect those that are often not saved by Batman at all. 

Black Bat and Spoiler focusing more on school and their private lives, patrolling at weekends and on the worse of nights.

Leaving Robin to happily stand beside HIS Batman on their half of Gotham, to protect their home not home and stand as trusted partners. 

Dick loved his batman more than anything else in the world once he was given a second family, a second chance at a home with him. 

And, it's why he'd never forgive Bruce or any other Wayne for hurting his baba as much as they did during the first Batman's return. 

Damian was back to being an heir for the league, doing his duties respectfully and living a happy life with his husband and son. The hero life left behind in his past once more and Dick followed in his footsteps. 

All but cutting one link to the hero world, Kidflash. 

Dick adored the freckled red head.

Was smitten enough over him that both his Baba and Father had taken notice his attachment to the speeder. Always finding a good enough reason to let Dick join them on a league mission somewhere that would hold the young hero. Knowing the two could cross paths again. 

Dick held hope in his innocent days that they'd last forever.

That titles and backgrounds didn't matter when they were together. 

Wally knew over Dick's family, knew who they were link with and still chose to stay as his friend at first. 

Dick knew over Wally's abusive parents, over being rescued by his auntie and uncle and leaving the dream life of a hero. Even knowing over the regrets over choosing such a path in life as he hugged the sobbing and shaking older boy. 

They were happy, always were when they were together. 

And something changed. 

Neither noticed until it was too late to be undone. 

The new Flash, Wally, wasn't holding back in their playful fights during a mission. 

The new Flash, Wally, calling him as Grayson-Al Ghul instead of his name, or his nickname. 

The new Flash, Wally, treating Dick like an actual villain when he was with his team. 

Dick had grown to be seen as the villain.

He was Flash's villain, the justice league expecting Flash to deal with him and bring him down. 

All their sweet little promises over a future were forgotten for the chance of Flash standing as a hero to the Justice League. 

It had hurt, more than losing his parents. 

Because someone had murdered is parents, stole his first family from him. 

But Wally, he had chosen to break their hearts. 

Dick learnt that the fated one he had thought to be his love in this life was just a fated one who'd grow to be a passing face instead. 

And it had hurt more than any other passing face he's dealt with before. 

Hurt was a dangerous thing, it could easily turn into rage. 

Rage brought the lost of humanity for some. 

So, if Flash wanted a villain, he'd gain one.  

"Richard" Damian 

"Hmm?" Dick 

"Mother has told over the news that you'll be distracting the heroes for her squad to carry on with the mission" Damian 

"Someone was in need of doing such a task. I've got time to spare" Dick 

"Will Flash be among the heroes you'll be delaying?" Damian 

"We never truly know what heroes would arrive to criminal activity. We can guest but we can never truly know" Dick 

"Richard, my son does not stand with an evil heart. I demand that his mission will be your last that involves hero expected arrival. I will not allow that slob to ruin my son's future nor his heart. Understood?" Damian 

"Am I really not evil?" Dick 

"I know you are not" Damian 

"He made me into one" Dick

"Than undo his doing to you. In my eyes, he was the one to stand as a villain for the betrayal given to you" Damian 

"I hold plans to meet with Red Hood after my mission. He's given me a spare safe house to use to rest in afterwards" Dick 

"It will do you some good to hang with a friend who shall not judge your past actions. Have you told your father you'll be gone for a couple of days?" Damian 

"I didn't want to worry him. I know he's sad for me" Dick

"He's only sad because you're hurting, Richard. Leave Wallace to stay as a passing face and look towards a future where you'll find your true fated one. Than your father will no longer be sad because you will stand happy once more" Damian

A/N: I planned to make this really hurtful and sad for Birdflash but I just didn't have the heart to carry through with it. But I know I might be feeling ready to try it again in the future and for now, thought I'd upload the bits I did do.
