ten thousand special! ~
=
You had kissed Poe Dameron five times, and five times... you hadn't minded.
The first time that you had kissed Poe Dameron, it was purely just to save your asses. Without that kiss, you both would've been spotted and taken in by the first order.
"What the hell are we looking for again?" You asked quietly so that your aunt Leia could hear you through the communicators. Poe was at your side, his face illuminated only by the moons and the torches that were placed around the planet.
"A tent," Poe responded before Leia could get the chance to. "Map to Luke Skywalker, duh. Keep up, Y/N." you rolled your eyes as Poe took off on a run, you following quickly at his heels.
It was a strange thing, looking for your very own father. No one knew- no one but Leia and Han- that you were a Skywalker, and they sure as hell didn't know that you were a trained Jedi. Especially your right hand man, Poe.
Poe stepped into a large hut where a man sat, a hood over his head. The wind was whipping sand up and into the hu, but he didn't seem to mind. His eyes met Poe's and then your own, and something in his face changed. He shared a look of remorse with you.
"Mr. Dameron. Y/N. I suppose you are here to collect the map?" The man asked in a low voice. Poe glanced over his shoulder at you, and then nodded his head. The man smiled and placed a drive of a holographic map into Poe's hands. Poe's dark eyes lit with excitement and finality, and he quickly thanked the man.
Thankfully, this all happened before shit hit the fan.
"Okay, okay. We need a plan," Poe said as blasters boomed and blared beyond you. The planet was lit with a fiery blaze of First Order fury, probably because they had just realized that the Resistance had acquired the map to Luke Skywalker first. They would certainly stop at nothing to find it, and the First Order was proving that statement to be true. "Let's make a run for it."
Before Poe could jump to his feet and head off on a mad chicken run back to the ship, you grasped tightly onto his arm. His eyes met your own, and he saw how scared you were. You were part of the Resistance! Your fear was not normal.
"Y/N, c'mon. We have to go." You shook your head.
"We can't. If I get caught then... I can't explain it, you just have to trust me, okay?" Poe furrowed his eyebrows inquisitively. "Please." Poe nodded. His trust lied so deeply in you, and it would never falter. Not this day at least.
"Okay, then do you have another plan?" Poe asked quite loudly, as the fiery booms of blasters was growing louder and stronger. You thought for a moment, bottom lip between your teeth. What makes people so uncomfortable that they wouldn't even think to look twice?
"Kiss me," you simply stated, and Poe's eyes went wide as confusion struck him. He was stuttering and blubbering over protests and questions and excuses, but you just shook your head. "No, listen. Public displays of affection make people feel uncomfortable and they won't even look at us more than once."
"Y/N, it's the First Order, not some people down at the shops," Poe protested as he crouched down next to you. You rolled your eyes.
"Kiss, shoot, run, repeat. Got it?" Poe drew in a sharp breath, as though he was going to reciprocate, but then he stopped and agreed with a curt nod. "Good. Now kiss me because they're coming over here." You reached for the collar of his jacket, and as you did so, Poe's eyes were still questioning you. Was this really a good idea?
Poe said to hell with it; if you thought it would work, it definitely would. He quickly embraced you in a kiss, and to make it more believable, your fingers ruffled through the dark curls on top of his head.
"Alright you two, that's enough," said an almost robotic voice. You giggled like a little school girl when you pulled away and then, as fast as the kiss had come and gone, you shot at the Stormtrooper with Poe's blaster that lay by your side. Poe watched you with amusement, his lips slightly parted and his hair askew. He hadn't fully come back from your kiss.
"Well come on then, Dameron. We've got work to do."
That was the last thing you had said, before you were back in Poe's ship and heading back to base. You had shared numerous chaste kisses with Poe that night, more than you had ever shared in your lifetime.
"That was fun," Poe said, once you were surrounded by stars. A quick glance in his direction, and it was easy to tell that he was smirking. Ugh. "We should do that again sometime."
"I'm only doing my job, Poe."

The second time that you had kissed Poe Dameron, it was not your doing, and it was mostly seen as a joke to Poe. In the end, though, you weren't really all that upset over another kiss with Poe.
Though, you would never dare to say that aloud.
You'd been in the control room with Leia when a sweaty Poe Dameron waltzed in, BB-8 beeping at his side. You had tried to ignore him since the moment he had walked into the room, but trying to ignore Poe was like trying to ignore a tauntaun. He had clearly been tinkering with his ship, as the grease stains, dirt, and messy hair would suggest. That, and he smelled like fuel.
"Ok so what if we enter through the left wing? Will that give us any time to-" your queries were cut short when Poe leaned against the panel in front of you with a loud, attention-seeking sigh.
"May I help you, Dameron?" Leia asked, her gaze stern on the curly-haired man. Poe shook his head, and then you were back to chatting with Leia about ways to get in and out of the First Order Starkiller. What a name.
Poe pushed himself off of the panel and stood next to you, peering over your shoulder as you looked down on a holographic blueprint of the base. Poe rest his chin on your shoulder which you tried to shrug away, but he was just not budging.
"Poe, you're sweaty. Stop." Poe teasingly wound his sweaty arm tightly around your waist, and you struggled to free yourself from his grasp, as he was tickling you. Boy did you wish that tickling was never discovered. It certainly was your kryptonite, and not in a good way. "Poeee."
Poe stopped and pressed a sloppy, chaste, sweaty kiss to your lips, which you responded to by freeing yourself from his grasp and wiping your mouth with the back of your hand.
"Okay, Mister Dameron, I think it's time for you to go," Leia pressed her hands onto Poe's shoulders, leading him out of the control room. BB-8 beeped in protest at both you and Leia, and you just rolled your eyes.
"Tell that man to take a shower, BeeBee," You sighed. BB-8 purred at your words, before revving off to join Poe.

The third time that you share a kiss with Poe, it's in comfort. You've just seen Han Solo, a man whom you've admired and looked up to as a father for so long, be brutally murdered by his own son. And you're not taking it very well.
You sat in the snow of the star, Finn's jacket swung over your shoulders to keep you warm as you wept.
Poe sat beside you as he comforted you in the best way that he could. He held tightly to your shivering frame and let you use him as a shoulder to cry on, which was really all that you could ask for.
"It'll be okay, Y/N," Rey said as she crouched down beside you. Tears glass over her eyes as well, though she hadn't known Han for as long as you had. "We'll make this right."
You had no doubt that your team would seek justice in Han's name and avenge against Kylo. He was the reason that your own father had disappeared! He sure had hell to pay for, and the three that surrounded you were not going to let him get away with it that easily.
"Hey Rey," Finn called, waving the brunette down to him. She squeezed your hand before running towards her friend, kicking up snow and ice as she did.
It was just you and Poe, then. Either your tears were ceasing or they were freezing as soon as they splashed onto your face, you couldn't tell the difference. You sniffed and turned to look at Poe, a sad and fake smile plastered on your face. You had a job to do, and you intended to do it.
Now, you had no idea why Poe was looking at you in the way that he was. He stared at you lovingly, as though you shone brighter than all of the suns in the galaxy. And to him, you did.
Poe held your head in his hands briefly before pressing a lasting kiss to your forehead that brought more warmth than you intended. It felt like home, just for a split second. You wished that it could've lasted longer.
"We have work to do," Poe said quickly after that, taking you by the hand and leading you down the snowy slope.

The fourth time you kissed Poe, it was no accident. It was no coverup, nor was it a disguise. It was a heat of the moment type of thing that left the two of you stunned by your own actions.
Poe had been captured by the First Order, and you couldn't help but feel guilty about it. You had practically watched Poe being dragged away, and all he said was "I'll find you."
If your heart wasn't shattered before then, it certainly was now.
Leia was worried at how heartbroken you were. You were so close to your aunt; as she had basically raised you. To see you hurting in such a way that she couldn't help, it was almost too much to bear for the General. You just hadn't been the same since Han's death, and the capture of Poe just added to a never ending fire.
But soon, the Poe Dameron rescue mission was in full effect. With your squadron, and Finn and Rey of course, you had made it to the Starkiller base without a trace, and you were so close to Poe that you could almost feel his presence. You had never felt such a longing for someone before. You wanted to see his face and feel his touch and embrace him in an everlasting hug.
"Down the corridor," Finn whispered over his shoulder. He held a blaster in his hands, ready to shoot if needed be. But when he turned to look at you, something changed. He dropped his weapon and his face softened. "Are you ready, Y/N?"
You drew in a sharp breath and puffed out your shoulders. You knew that you were not going to see the Poe that you knew when you walked into that room, but you were ready. You wanted him home.
You took a deep breath. "I was born ready, Finn. Let's go," you smiled at Rey who stood beside you, and within a second, your squadron was rushing down the hallway.
And then, there he was. It was worse than you could've imagined. His eyes were cold and his body was limp and he was bleeding. He looked physically, mentally, and emotionally drained, but when he saw you, his eyes lit up.
You rushed to his aid, helping him out of the restraints as quickly as possible. No one knew if Kylo would return. You were very lucky that he hadn't.
"Poe," you breathed, "Poe, are you alright?" You held his lanky body up with the help of Finn, and for a moment, you just stood there. Poe was regaining his balance and his composure, and he soon didn't need your assistance to stand.
"I'm... I'm fine," Poe grumbled, pushing his sweaty, matted hair off of his forehead. Poe freed himself from Finn's grasp and enveloped you into a bone crushing hug. You had never seen Poe so vulnerable and exposed. "So, a Skywalker, huh?"
You rolled your eyes and let out a long breath, one that you had probably been holding since Poe was initially captured. You reached up and put your hands on the sides of Poe's head, pressing your forehead against his.
"You scared me out of my wits, Dameron," You mumbled through a smirk. Poe chuckled dryly, and that was when you pressed a loving kiss to his lips. When you pulled away, Poe didn't question you, and you didn't question yourself. It just felt right.
"Uh, guys?" Rey called from the corridor, "We have to go. Now."

The fifth time that you kissed Poe Dameron, it was just as natural as it was supposed to be.
It had been months since Poe had been captured, months since Han had died, months since collecting the map to Luke Skywalker. You had been tinkering with droids on this particular day, building and adding new extensions to bb units and others. And then, BB-8 rolled in, no Poe in sight.
"Oh hey BB," BB-8 beeped at your words. You wiped sweat off of your brow with the back of your hand and rose to your feet from your crouching position. "Where's Poe?" BB-8's figure beeped down, and you rolled your eyes.
"Well okay, you can go next," You smiled, and went back to tinkering with R2D2. BB-8 started to beep with excitement, and one curious glance up was enough to tell you why. You smiled and dropped your gaze back to the BB unit in front of you.
"BeeBee was looking for you," You said quickly, pushing your hair behind your ears. Poe leaned against your table of tools, his arms crossed over his chest.
"Mmmhmm," Poe hummed, "Blame it on the droid."
"Okay Artoo, you're good to go," You tapped R2D2 twice and then he was on his way, working like new again. "You want something, Dameron?" You rose to your feet with your tools in your hands, heading to put them back where they belong. Poe shrugged his shoulders and smiled down at you. You stood next to Poe with your arms crossed over your chest.
You rolled your eyes and leaned up to press a kiss to his lips, which lasted longer than you expected it to. You combed his tousled hair with your fingers as he grabbed hold of your waist. BB-8 started to beep erratically, and Poe groaned when you pulled away.
"Sorry," You shrugged your shoulders, "Duty calls."
