Jessica Kazansky may seem delicate like glass to most.  But she's stronger than she looks.  She didn't own a crystal ball to tell her what her future would look like and she didn't really care.

She was a free spirit.

Being around the Navy her whole life, she seeks adventure.  

Her uncle wanted her to settle down and find a nice guy to marry, maybe even have a couple of kids.  But that wasn't what she wanted.  At least not yet.  She was only twenty-nine and while her best friends were off getting married and having kids, she didn't let it phase her.  

Bradley Bradshaw didn't believe in happy endings.  He didn't believe in that whole fantasy of coming home to your loved one, kids running around and the white picket fence.  He has been through his fair share of heartbreak to last a lifetime.  With both his parents passed away, he doesn't want to get hurt again.  

Happy endings don't exist.

Which is why when he meets Jessica Kazansky, he feels like she deserve more than what he can provide her with.  One thing he knows for sure?  He can't stop resisting her.  Being around Jessica is the most free he has felt in a long time and he didn't want it to end.

so yes, there will be an age difference.  In the movie, Bradley is around 40 years old so there is an eleven year age difference.  I'm not sure how many chapters will be in this book.
