Matthew sighed as he watched his brother performing stunts in front of a crowd of people. He's seen this routine more times than he could count, but it never seemed to disappoint the onlookers. Everybody cheered him on as he did perfected aerial loops, spins and ultimately impressive dives. He turned away from the crowd. He did not envy his brother. Not on the slightest. He just really resented the fact that practically everyone mistook him for his showy brother.

His honey-blond colored wings involuntarily fluttered in irritation. Things like this always happened. He should be getting used to it by now. Matthew folded his arms in angrily, shutting out the cheers and cries of the roaring crowd as Alfred must've started his second routine. He didn't even notice the steady footfalls behind him, the grass crinkling in evidence someone was approaching.

"Hey, Matthew. What's up?" A comfortingly familiar voice sounded like music to his ears as he recognized immediately who it was. His cheeks took on a soft pink tint and he tried to hide his blush. He turned shyly, taking in their relaxed figure. The way their eyes sparkled when the sun caught them just right. The way the rays seemed to bounce off their (h/c) wings. The list could go on an on.

He met your gaze, his violet eyes shining bashfully. He awkwardly cleared his throat. "Oh, bonjour (y/n)." Matthew said, trying to pull himself together. They smiled, making Matthew's breath catch in his throat. They were so beautiful. His gaze flickered to his brother over their shoulder. Everybody was paying attention to Alfred. Everyone but them.

"So, wanna go do something?" They proposed shyly, absentmindedly pushing a strand of hair away from their face. Matthew's heart seemed to pick up the pace tenfold. He couldn't believe this was happening. He grinned at them, trying to keep his wings from portraying his excitement. He pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose.

"Yeah, I'd love to, eh."
