Chapter 3

Once Alibert finished explaining to Yugo what had happened the day he found the young boy, the twelve year old needed a moment to let it all sink in. After around half an hour...

"Yugo where are you going?" Alibert asked as Yugo put some bread in a small bag.

"If my birth family is out there somewhere, then shouldn't I find them and see why they didn't want me?" The small boy asked as he continuously shoved food into his small bag.

"You don't have any clue where they are." Alibert pointed out

Yugo stopped for a minute. "I didn't thing 'bout that..."

Dally barged in "Look at this really weird feather I found!" The iop exclaimed.

"Percedal! What are you doing you iop-brain!?" Eva yelled from the dineing room of the inn.

"A tofu got in! He left the door open!" Amalia shouted as a tofu flew into the room.

The tofu took one look at Yugo and immediately gave the boy the bird equivalent of a hug. "No way..." The twelve year old mumbled "Az?" The feather Dally held flew into the air, wrote something, and after a moment of Yugo staring off into space... "Oma." Yugo said quietly

"What?" Alibert questioned

"Oma. My birth family's on Oma Island."

---------

Yugo looked back at the Inna as he and his new friends headed towards a Zaap Portal. "You'll always be my real father Alibert." He mumbled quietly as he walked with everyone else.

"Percedal, stop talking about yourself so much." Amalia complained as she walked away from Dally and over to Eva, to talk to the cra, most likely about some sort of gossip or something, how would I know.

"So, Yugo, what about you?" Dally asked "What've you done?"

"Percedal, he's twelve, leave the kid alone." Ruel grumbled.

"I spent seven years of my life trying to escape a tower in a pocket dimension, almost gave up hope until I discovered my powers and jumped out a window." Yugo replied to Dally quietly as he held Az and fed the bird some breadcrumbs. Only Dally heard, seeing as the girls were talking, no doubt about something Amalia insisted on, and only she wanted to speak about, and Ruel.... Ruel was old and hard of hearing, so he couldn't hear what Yugo said.

"Sorry I asked. That must've been hard." Dally said quietly as the group reached the Zaap. "Do you... Er need to talk 'bout it?"

Yugo shrugged "No, I'll be fine."

Dally looked worriedly at Yugo. The iop may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed, but he could tell that whoever had kept Yugo locked up, hadn't been kind to the small boy. Not just because of how cautious Yugo had been in the day he'd known him, but the very visible, and scarily big, scars on the twelve year old's leg and forearm, those were just the ones that could be seen, who knows how many more the small boy had, he could have hundreds of small scars, or just a few huge ones, from times when he was nearly killed, by who Dally didn't know. "Are you sure?" The iop asked, worried for his small friend.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Yugo smiled gently. "It's all in the past, I'm never going back, so there's no point in dwelling on it." He fed Az some more bread. "I don't need or want to talk about it."

The group entered the Zaap and headed to the Kelba Market, but when they arrived....

"AH CRAP BIG EVIL BIRD GUUUUUUUUUY!!!!! HELP HE'S GONNA KILL MEEEEEE!!!"

"SHUT UP RUEL!"
