lydia: so basically nick was aurora's first and only boyfriend, and it didn't end well. the guy's a dick. he's emotionally manipulative and probably a sociopath tbh.

scott: what do you mean?

lydia: he was really sweet to her at first. like, the perfect boyfriend. and then he started to control her slowly, starting out with small things like how she dressed and escalating to choosing who she could be friends with.

lydia: I started to notice the signs and tried to pull her out of the relationship but by then she was totally under his spell and she was so naive at that point that she thought everything was fine.

lydia: and then he tried to pressure her into having sex, and it was the one thing she wouldn't give to him. auri isn't the "wait until marriage" type, but she's waiting for someone she felt totally comfortable with and that wasn't him.

lydia: he started freaking out on her and saying shit like "i'm the only person you'll ever date so why does it matter?" and she had the audacity to point out that maybe they wouldn't be together and that's when he lost his shit and gave her a black eye

lydia: and that was the day Jackson got expelled for breaking a guy's jaw in the locker room

scott: he did what??

lydia: yeah, I know. it's even more terrible bc auri used to be this little ray of sunshine that was always helping others and she still helps everyone more than she realizes but now she suffocates her own emotions and avoids relationships like the plague.

lydia: he moved away soon after it happened and he's pretty much left her alone until now

scott: I want to murder him
