Backstory
Ella lost her parents at the young age of seven to a car accident on a dark, snowy night. Ever since that loss, with no other family connections to take care of her full time, Ella bounced from foster home to foster home up until she aged out of the system. A hard worker by nature, Ella was able to put herself through Veterinary Technician School and start working as soon as she could. She spent most of her time working for a long time, not doing much else outside of the clinic she worked at until realizing that working herself to death wasn't how she wanted to live her life. And so she cut back on hours and did her best to go out and get to know people. One of those people being Michael Schmidt, an old friend from high school she had lost contact with due to one of the many times she had to move houses. The two reconnected, a welcome friendship after the hardships both had to deal with in their lifetime. Ella started helping watch over Abby when Max wasn't able to babysit, taking over completely when the other girl seemingly vanished in thin air

So when Mike gets a strange night job to help keep his aunt from taking custody of his little sister, Ella is more then happy to help with both babysitting and trying to explain the weird things that seem to be happening at his new workplace
