Backstory
Dahlia grew up like every other young lady of the ton, practicing her needle work and sharpening all the skills one needed to be as desirable as possible to the eligible bachelor's of London. As the only girl in her household her mother made sure she had any and all resources she needed from a very young age, wanting her daughter to secure a match that would be the envy of the ton when she stepped her foot into society. And so her first season arrived, the pressure of finding someone of high status to take care of her for the rest of her days weighing heavy on Dahlias lace covered shoulders. Her mother and father wanted nothing less than a perfect match, even if love wasn't at the foundation of it. Despite her parents insistence that rank is far more important then any love match could provide, Dahlia still asked these high ranking men about their likes and dislikes not wanting to marry a man she couldn't see herself getting along with.

Dahlias parents wanted nothing less than a profitable match for their daughter, someone who can provide and elevate. And so, naturally, the news of the new unwed Duke Of Hastings was not something the pair planned to ignore. They introduced Dahlia to the Duke along with the dozens of other ladies with no success at winning his eye. However later on that night, when Dahlia had managed to sneak off to a balcony connected to Lady Danburys ballroom, She found herself in the duke's presence without the meddling of her parents. After just a few moments of speaking, the young Miss Williams couldn't help but feel immense attraction for the Duke based on himself rather than his title. And while he stayed he never has any intention to marry, she can't help but wonder if he might feel the same attraction towards her
